1.President Ramnath Kovind, along with cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni, awarded Padma awards to 41 celebrities :-
President Ramnath Kovind presented Padma awards to 43 well-known celebrities at a function held in Rashtrapati Bhavan this evening.
Cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni, billiards champion Pankaj Advani, famous painter Laxman Pai, singer Sharda Sinha were awarded Padma Bhushan. Former Ambassador of Russia to late Alexander Kadakin was posthumously given Padma Bhushan in India.
2.10th class math test will not be done again :-
Good news for students of the 10th has come. CBSE has decided to not revisit the 10th math examination after initial scrutiny.
Education Secretary Anil Swarup tweeted this decision. That is, now 10th examination in any state, including Delhi, Haryana, will not be repeated again. However, investigation in the paper leak case continues.
Meanwhile, the National Human Rights Commission has issued notice to the Central Education Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education Board, CBSE Chairman and Delhi Police Commissioner, taking note of reports of the leakage of tenth and twelfth paper.
The Commission believes that in this case it seems that the concerned department has failed to maintain the confidence of the students.
3.The government has revised the rules for recognizing journalists for tightening the bogus news :-
The government has said that if a journalist is found involved in preparing or circulating fake news, his recognition as a journalist can be canceled permanently.
According to the revised guidelines regarding the recognition of the journalists, if the publication or broadcast of fake news is confirmed, the recognition of that journalist for the first time will be suspended for 6 months. For the second time, his recognition will be suspended for one year. The recognition of that journalist will be permanently terminated if it is found for the third time. The information and broadcasting ministry gave this information in a release.
4.China imposed on 128 US products :-
China has imposed tax on 128 US products, including items ranging from fruit to liquor. People’s Daily gave this information in a report.
According to the report, China has taken this step due to the protection of national interests and the loss due to American duty. Responding to a new tax on aluminum and steel imports by the United States, China has imposed an additional tax of 25 percent on US products yesterday.
Wang Hallou, a researcher at the research center of the Chinese Commerce Ministry, commented that ‘China does not want war, but there is no other alternative except that.
5.Nelson Mandela’s wife Winnie Mandela passes away :-
Winnie Madikizela Mandela, who was leading South Africa’s first black president, wife of late Nelson Mandela and anti-apartheid campaign, died yesterday at the age of 81.
His personal assistant Jodawa Janawane gave this information.
Mandela family spokesman Victor Dalmini said in his statement, “Winnie Mandela died after a long illness.
He was admitted to the hospital since the beginning of the year. He breathed last night among his family members. “
6.IISc-Bangalore is the best educational institution in the country, dominated by Delhi institutions in the rankings list :-
While releasing the ranking of all the institutions of the country, the Human Resource Development Ministry has said that Bangalore-based Indian Institute of Science (IISc) is the best educational institution in the country. By the way, the institutions of Delhi are dominating in this ranking list.
Announcing the ranking in a program on Tuesday, HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar said that the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-M), Madras, is the best engineering college. Also, Ahmedabad-based Indian Institute of Management (IIM-A) is the Best Management Institute.
According to the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), a ranking organization of teachers and educational institutions, Delhi University’s Mirinda House has been declared the best college. In the colleges, St Stephen is second in Delhi, Hindu College in the fourth place, Shriram College of Commerce at seventh and Lady Shri Ram College for Women is eighth.
AIIMS, the chief health institute, has been declared the best medical college in the country. At the same time, Bengaluru-based NLLIU is the best law college in the country.
In the same way, the Indian Institute of Science (IISC) in the category of the University first came first. In second place, the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Delhi and the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in Varanasi are in third place.
The Bangalore-based IISC, which came to the first place in 1909, was formed in collaboration with industrialist Jamshedji Nusessarvani Tata, Maharaja of Mysore and the Government of India. Since its inception, this institute is providing basic education in science and engineering. The research done at this institute has made a big contribution in the industry and social sector.
Must be included in the ranking of all government educational institutions –
HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar has announced on Tuesday that it will be mandatory for all government educational institutions to join the national ranking process of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in the national ranking process next year. At the same time, he also said that the government educational institutions will not take part in this ranking process, their funds will be deducted.
7.Reliance Jio Payments Bank Happened:-
Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani is now entering the banking business through the payment bank.
Geo Payment Bank Ltd. Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries Limited and the public sector largest bank SBI have a joint venture of 70-30. Geo’s payment bank has started from today. This information is given by the Reserve Bank of India.
Reliance got the Principal approval for opening of Payments Bank in August 2015 with 10 other applicants from the RBI.
Geo got the license to operate it in March last year.
In the past year, Geo Infocom Limited introduced a 4G feature phone to conduct transactions in the payment bank.
8.Defense Minister arrives in Moscow to attend International Security Conference :-
Defense Minister Nirmala Sitaraman reached Moscow to participate in the International Security Conference.
They will participate in the seventh Moscow International Safety Conference. This is his first Russia visit as defense minister.
During his three-day tour, he will meet his Russian counterpart General Sergei Shugu and other senior leaders.
With special reference to military technical cooperation, strengthening the traditional warm and friendly relations between the two countries is the priority of travel.
9.US declares Hafiz Saeed’s ‘MML’ a terrorist organization :-
Just before the general elections in Pakistan, the United States has declared the Milli Muslim League (MML) as a foreign terrorist organization. The terrorist outfit led by MML Hafiz Saeed is a political front Jamaat-ud-Dawa.
Along with this, seven members of MML have also been declared as foreign terrorists.
The US has also included the Tehrik-i-Azadi-e-Kashmir (TAJK) list of terrorist groups.
10.Shri Suresh Prabhu launched Digital Initiative for ease of export :-
Union Minister of Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation, Shri Suresh Prabhu launched Digital Initiatives of Export Inspection Council (EIC) in New Delhi for ease of export.
On this occasion, the Minister said that due to these digital initiatives, India’s capacity will be greatly increased in the export sector of agriculture and food products.
EIC is the official export certification body of the Government of India and it has launched this major project of Digital India initiative in line with the changing dimensions of the world.
