1.ISRO to share its expertise in space sector, train 45 countries in nano-satellite making:-

India will train participants from 45 countries in nano-satellite making through a new capacity building programme. The programme named Unispace Nanosatellite Assembly and Training by ISRO (UNNATI) was flagged off by Minister of State in Deparment of Space Jitendra Singh in Bengaluru. Speaking on the occasion, ISRO chairman K Sivan said, the programme allows India to share its knowledge and expertise in space sector with other countries. ISRO will train 90 officials from 45 countries in three batches. The first batch will have 30 participants from 17 countries. The programme is the space agency’s initiative to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the first United Nations Conference on the Exploration and Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UNISPACE50) in 1968. The participants will receive a training of eight weeks in Bengaluru in technologies related to making nano-satellites. Nano-satellites are small satellites weighing between 1-10 kg. The course will include theoretical work, as well as training on assembly, integration and testing of nano-satellites.

2.NA-32 aircraft landed at Pakyong airport, strategic importance of Sikkim:-

Indian Air Force’s transport aircraft AN-32 successfully landed at Pakyong Airport of Sikkim for the first time. It is one of the highest airports in the country. Pakuyong is about 60 km away from India-China border.

A senior IAF officer said, “This is the first landing of AN-32 class aircraft here.” Wing Commander SK Singh was leading the crew of the aircraft. Pakayong Airport is located at an altitude of 4,500 feet above sea level. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated it in September last year. A Dornier aircraft of the Air Force had landed at this airport last year.

Officials said that on January 14, the Air Force’s C-130J aircraft landed for the first time in the Teju Airfield in Arunachal Pradesh. He told that the landing was done both day and night. Its aim is to increase the mobility of troops and material in the region.

India has been accelerating the development of infrastructure on the border of nearly four thousand kilometers, with China since the Dopaal deadlock in 2017. In March, Towing Air Region of Arunachal Pradesh, adjacent to China border, Air Force Flight C-17 Globmaster was launched in March.

3.Prabhat Singh was appointed Director General of the National Human Rights Commission:-

Senior IPS Prabhat Singh was appointed DG (Investigation) of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC). He is currently the Special Director in the Central Reserve Police Force. According to the order issued by the Ministry of Personnel on Thursday, Singh has been appointed for 30 April 2020.

In another order the Ministry of Personnel said that SN Pradhan has been made Director General of National Disaster Redressal Force (NDRF). The principal is the IPS officer of the 1988 batch Jharkhand cadre. He is currently the joint secretary in the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region.

4.Prime Minister will inaugurate National Museum of Indian Cinema on January 19:-

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi  will inaugurate the National Museum of Indian Cinema (NMIC) , National Museum of Indian Cinema in Mumbai on January 19, 2019  . This magnificent museum has been built at a cost of Rs 140.61 crore. Through the visual, graphics, craft and multimedia presentations in the museum, people will be given an account of the history of more than a century of cinema as a story.

This museum has been prepared under the guidance of the Museum Advisory Committee under the chairmanship of Shri Shyam Benegal. The committee formed under the chairmanship of Mr. Prasun Joshi has helped in upgrading NMIC.

This museum is located in two buildings – the  ‘ New Museum Building ‘  and the historic palace ‘ Gulshan Mahal ‘  in the 19th century  . Both buildings are in the film division complex in Mumbai.There are four exhibition halls in the new museum building, which are as follows:

Gandhi and Cinema  :   There are films made on Mahatma Gandhi’s life here. With this, the deep impact of his life on cinema has also been shown.

Child film studio  :   Here visitors, especially children, will get the opportunity to know the science, technology and art of filmmaking. In this hall, information related to camera, light, shooting and acting will be available.

Technology, Creativity and Indian Cinema  :  Here Indian filmmakers will get information on the use of technology. The cinematic influence of filmmakers on the silver screen has also been introduced.

Indian Cinema  :   Here the cinema culture across the country is depicted.

Gulshan Mahal ASI Grade –  II is the heritage structure. It has been repaired as part of the NMIC project. Here the journey of over 100 years of Indian cinema has been shown. It is divided into 9 sections, the origin of cinema, the arrival of cinema in India, the Indian silent film, the beginning of the sound, the studio era, the effect of World War II, creative vibrancy, New Wave, and afterwards and regional cinemas. .

5.Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the ‘Global Trade Show’ organized in Gandhinagar, the main event held before the launch of ‘Vibrant Gujarat Summit’:-

 Another highlight of the ‘Ahmedabad Shopping Festival’ was launched today, ‘Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2019’ organized in Gandhinagar. Prime Minister will inaugurate the 9th Vibrant Gujarat Summit to attract investment in Gujarat.The ninth edition of ‘ Vibrant Gujarat Summit ‘ will be inaugurated at Mahatma Mandir Exhibition Co-Conference Center located in Gandhinagar. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will address the inaugural session of this summit. The goal of this Summit is to further accelerate the pace of attracting investment in Gujarat.’ Vibrant Gujarat Summit ‘ will be organized during 18-20 January 2019 Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the program ‘ Global Trade Show ‘ held atthe exhibition center located in Gandhinagar before the launch of this Summit . The Prime Minister reviewed various pavilions and showed special interest in the stalls of ISRO , DRDO , Khadi etc and along with this, an appropriate tagline on this occasion was presented to him about his innovative approach regarding Make in India with ‘ Charkha to Chandrayaan Tak ‘ . Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Vijay Rupani and other dignitaries were present along with the Prime Minister. ‘Global Trade Show ‘ has been organized in the area of 2, 00,000 square meters. The more than 25 industrial and commercial sector during its one place – your unique thoughts or ideas , are showing products and designs.

Several programs have been organized along with the Summit.  a major attraction ” Ahmedabad Shopping Festival 2019 ” will also be inaugurated by the Prime Minister this evening. The Prime Minister will unveil the mascot of ‘Vibrant Gujarat Ahmedabad Shopping Festival ‘ on this occasion . “Ahmedabad Shopping Festival 2019 ” is the first event of its kind in India and the city of their enterprises – has been made accessible for an opportunity to showcase their products.In addition to organizing several major programs in the form of a part of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit, the ninth edition of this Summit will also be witness to the launch of many full-fledged new forums, whose aim is to bring diversity in the nature of knowledge sharing during this Summit and The level of networking between the participants is to increase.

The ‘ Vibrant Gujarat Summit ‘ was envisaged in 2003 by the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, who was then the then Chief Minister of Gujarat at that time. The main objective of this summit was to establish Gujarat again as a preferred investment destination or state. This Summit will facilitate a suitable platform for brainstorming the agenda associated with global socio-economic development , sharing knowledge and effective partnerships.

6.Vinesh Phogat becomes first Indian athlete to be nominated in Laureus World Comeback of Year Award:-

Ace Indian female wrestler Vinesh Phogat has become the first Indian athlete to receive a nomination in the prestigious Laureus World Comeback of the Year Award.She has been nominated alongside US Tour Championship winner Tiger Woods, who won his first tournament in five years.  The Awards will be presented in Monaco on the 18th of next month. Monaco is a tiny independent city-state on France’s Mediterranean coastline.The 24-year-old Vinesh from Haryana  made a sensational comeback after battling a long injury lay-off to win a gold medal at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games and Jakarta Asian Games.

7.RIL, the first Indian company to make 10,000 million profit, earned Rs 10,251 crore in Q3:-

In the third quarter of the current financial year, the country’s largest petrochemical company Reliance Industries (RIL) has earned a profit of Rs 10,251 crore, indicating analysts’ estimates.

On an annual basis, the company’s profits have increased by 9 percent. The company had a profit of Rs 9,420 crore in the same quarter last fiscal. Along with this, Reliance has joined the club of companies making profit of Rs 10,000 crore. Reliance is the first Indian company.

In the third quarter, the company’s revenues have increased by 56 percent and it increased to Rs 171,336 crore. 

GEO GREAT BENEFIT: In  the December quarter, Reliance has made a profit of Rs 831 crore from telecom business. Reliance Jio Infocom has earned a net profit of Rs 831 crore in the December quarter. 22.10 per cent increase in quarterly profit has been increased.

According to the TV report, Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani has said that Geo’s visit so far has been “really brilliant” and has been successful in fulfilling all the “expectations”. Ambani said that Has 28 million subscribers and is fast emerging to become the world’s largest mobile data networks.

On Thursday, the stock in the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) fell marginally to 0.03 percent at Rs 1133.75.

Significantly, Reliance Industries had a historic return in the second quarter. In the second quarter of the current financial year, Reliance had a net profit of Rs 9,516 crore. Reliance Industries’s telecom company Geo Infocom had a profit of Rs 681 crore in the second quarter of the current financial year. In 2016, Reliance Industries took the telecom market with the help of Geo Infocom.
