1.Shri Prakash Javadekar released the last round of Smart India Hackothon 2018 (software version) :-
Human Resource Development Minister, Shri Prakash Javadekar released the last round of two days of Smart India Hackothon 2018 (Software Version), the largest of its kind in the world, in New Delhi, which will be organized simultaneously at 28 centers of the country. .
Addressing participants in New Delhi Institute of Management (NDIM), New Delhi, Shri Javdekar said that in the second edition of Smart India Hakodhan 2018, more than 1 lakh students of 1,200 Maha Vidyalayas are participating, which is a record.
2.Pak seeks inspection of Indus river valley project :-
Pakistan has asked its officials from India to allow the Indian project to inspect the Indus river valley. Pakistan urged the two-day meeting of the permanent Indusa Commission in New Delhi. India has said that according to the provisions of the Indus Water Treaty, it will make arrangements. The information was given by officials on Friday.
3.EPFO will start action from April, employers who do not deposit PF will go to jail :-
Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has prepared to send the prisoners to the jail who did not deposit the PF employees. EPFO has decided to release Revenue Recovery Certificate (RRC) in all such cases in April. Under this, steps will also be taken to attach default and personal property to the defaulting employers.
Such complaints are being received from the EPFO in many districts of the state, in which the employers are referring to non-deposit credits. Based on the complaints, the EPFO has also sent the notice to the employers by investigating them. Apart from this, there is a case of PF deduction of employees working on various contracts in the state. They do not get the benefit of PF
4.Private sector employees will also get tax free gratuity upto Rs 20 lakhs :-
The government has notified on Thursday that the limit of tax free gratuity in the private sector has been doubled to 20 lakh rupees. This notification contains amendments to the Payment of Gratuity Act, which gives the government the right to increase its limit through executive order.
It also allows the government to decide the duration of maternity leave for women employees. At present, this period is only 12 weeks. With the help of this bill, the government can now extend the duration of Maternity Leave (Maternity Leave) to 26 weeks. According to this, the central government has fixed Maternity Leave for women employees for 26 weeks.
5.Two-day meeting of permanent Indus Commission between India and Pakistan in New Delhi :-
A two-day meeting of the permanent Indus Commission between India and Pakistan began in New Delhi. Representatives of the two countries are discussing the solution to the Water Treaty dispute and outstanding issues. The permanent Indusa Commission has been entrusted with the responsibility of cooperative management for the implementation of the treaty. Indus Water Commissioner PK Saxena and technical experts and representatives from the Ministry of External Affairs are participating in the meeting from India. Syed Mohammad Mehr Ali Shah is leading a six-member delegation of Pakistan. The Indus Water Treaty was signed in 1960. It is related to six rivers – Beas, Ravi, Sutlej, Indus, Chenab and Jhelum. Earlier, the meeting of the Commission was held in Islamabad in March 2017. The meetings of the Commission are rotated in India and Pakistan.
6.Russia announced the closure of 150 diplomats from the West and the closure of American Consulate in St. Petersburg :-
Russia has announced the removal of 150 diplomats from western countries and the closure of American Consulate in St. Petersburg. Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Russia’s decision was in response to American action after the incident of poisonous substance to former Russian spy in the UK.
Earlier, the Trump Administration had ordered the removal of 60 Russian diplomats and the closure of Consulate General in Seattle.
7.Record production of more than 16 trillion units of electricity in the current financial year at Kahal village plant of NTPC in Bihar :-
Kahal Village Power Plant of National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) in Bihar has set a record production of 16 trillion units of electricity in the current financial year. Sridhar, general manager of NTPC’s Super Thermal Power Station, said that it is about two trillion six-three percent more than the last year’s record of about one trillion rupees 59 billion five million units
8.Cricket Australia’s head coach Daryn Lehmann resigns after the ball-tempering case :-
Australian cricket team chief coach Daryn Lehmann has resigned. Lehmann said that the match will be his last Test match before the fourth and final Test match starting with tomorrow with South Africa. Lehman was found innocent in a test conducted by Cricket Australia in the Ball Tempering case. Lehmann said that Steve Smith , David Warner and Cameron Bencrafts have made the mistake. Steve Smith and David Warner have been banned for a year, in the case of ball- racking , while Benchraft has a nine-month ban.
9.Women handball teams from five countries will show in Lucknow :-
he fifth South Asian Women Handball Championship will be held in Lucknow from March 31 to April 3. India, Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh and Afghanistan will participate in the competition at KD Singh Babu Stadium. The competition was hosted by the Handball Federation of India to the UP Handball Association. For this championship training camp of Indian handball team is going on in the Regional Center of Sports Authority of India (SAI), Lucknow. The matches of the championship will be held at Kedi Singh Babu Stadium between 4:30 and 7 pm. The inauguration of the championship will be held at five o’clock on March 31.
10.The United States issued a circular to authorize more than 71,000 H-1B visa holders for employment to the spouse :-
The United States has issued a circular for authorizing the employment of husband or wife of more than 71,000 H-1B visa holders. According to the report, more than ninety percent of them are Indians. The former Obama administration started working permit for husband wife of H-1B visa holders in 2015.
