1.Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveils India’s first passenger drone Varun

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has unveiled Varun , India’s first passenger drone . The Prime Minister was there to address ‘Swavalamban’, a Naval Innovation and Indigenization Organization (NIIO) symposium organized at the Dr. Ambedkar International Center in New Delhi . The indigenously built pilotless drone has been designed for the Indian Navy. After thorough testing, the Indian Navy will use it on warships for the first time in war. After this it will be used to transport humans. Indigenous Drone ‘Varun’ to Startup ‘ Sagar Defense ‘‘ has made. On the other hand, a person has to just sit in it and apart from that he has nothing to do. This drone will take him from one place to another on his own. It will be operated with the help of remote. Varun, India’s first drone that can carry a human payload, has a range of 25 km. This passenger drone can carry a payload of 130 kg and has a flight time of 25-33 minutes.

The Prime Minister , Shri Narendra Modi has urged citizens to share their tributes to our freedom fighters on Digital Jyot and strengthen the ‘ Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav ‘. The Ministry of Culture is running a digital tribute campaign under the Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi . Under this , a digital flame has been lit in the Central Park of Delhi . Digital Tribute.in ( https://digitaltribute.in )/) Tribute can be paid through digital medium by visiting these and giving some information. The name and photo of the payer will be displayed on LEDs in Central Park. A video attached to this tribute will be received via email or WhatsApp. The digital lights in Central Park will get brighter with each tribute.

3.Shri Dharmendra Pradhan calls for inclusion of information about Anushilan Samiti in NCF to inspire the next generation

The Union Minister for Education and Skill Development Shri Dharmendra Pradhan said that Anushilan Samiti was a prominent secret revolutionary committee operating from Bengal in the 20th century , whose mission was to overthrow the colonial rule and give impetus to India’s freedom struggle . He unfurled the tricolor on this building of courage, sacrifice and inspiration. Shri Pradhan said that Satish Chandra Pramath Mitra , Aurobindo Ghosh and Sarla DeviEstablished by, the Anushilan Samiti (24 March 1902) was one of the various illustrious institutions associated with the Holy Land of Bengal, which gave expression to the nation’s conscience by emphasizing nationalist writings, publications and Swadeshi. He said that great persons like Deshbandhu Chittaranjan Das, Surendranath Tagore, Jatindranath Banerjee, Bagha Jatin were associated with Anushilan Samiti. Hedgewar was also a former worker of the committee. He said that I have had the privilege of paying my respects to these great personalities, especially during the Amrit Mahotsav. The Minister urged the NCERTs and the academia to include enough information about Anushilan Samiti in the upcoming National Curriculum Framework (NCF). He said that important information about the history of Anushilan Samiti in our textbooks will inspire the next generation.

The Union Minister of AYUSH, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal inaugurated the Immunization Center for Children at All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) . He also launched the Bal Raksha Mobile App , which aims to create awareness among parents towards preventive health care through Ayurveda.is to be born. The app will also collect feedback from parents about the impact of the kit on the health and immunity of their children. All India Institute of Ayurveda, an autonomous organization under the Ministry of AYUSH, aims to create a synergy between the traditional knowledge of Ayurveda and modern tools and technology. The institute has 12 specialized departments, 30 OPD units with state-of-the-art research laboratories in multiple disciplines and an international collaboration center for global promotion and research in Ayurveda. Ayurveda is the oldest system of medicine and health science which has been in existence for more than 3,000 years. During COVID, AIIA played a major role by treating patients at the COVID Healthcare Center with its mission of ‘ Caring with Compassion ‘.

5.All major ports exempted from shipping charges on ro-pax and passenger boats for the next six months

The government has directed all major ports to exempt ro-pax and passenger boats from shipping charges for the next six months with immediate effect . The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways has said that this decision has been taken to provide quick relief to the port sector from rising fuel prices globally. The price of marine fuel has increased from Rs 76 thousand per kiloliter to Rs 1,21 thousand per kiloliter. The ministry has said that water transport is an effective measure to reduce service costs, reduce travel time and promote coastal shipping on several potential routes.

6.259 crore loss to Indian Railways due to agitation against Agneepath scheme

Train services were affected at 62 places due to agitations and protests against the ‘ Agneepath ‘ scheme of the Central Government . The agitation caused a loss of Rs 259.44 crore to the Indian Railways . Let us tell you, due to this protest, violence was done at railway stations in the states of Bihar, UP and Telangana. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav gave this information in a written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha on Friday. He said that train services were affected at 62 places due to agitation and protest against Agneepath scheme. A total of 2,132 trains were canceled between June 15 and 23. He told that all these trains were canceled within just a week.

Releasing India’s Bio-economy Report 2022 , Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh informed that India’s bio-economy has reached over US$ 80 billion in 2021 . A growth of 14.1 percent (over $70.2 billion) has been registered in 2020. Considering the rapid growth in this sector, the minister said, the bio-economy is likely to touch the figure of $150 billion by 2025 and $ 300 billion by 2030 . The Minister urged all the stakeholders of the Biotech sector, especially the industry, startup ecosystem, investors, scientists, scholars, entrepreneurs and supporters like DBT, BIRAC to work collectively to achieve the ambitious goal.

10.RBI Approves Open, Cashfree Payments, Nearbuy and Fairex for Cross-Border Payments

The Reserve Bank of India has found the products of four entities viable for cross-border payments under the regulatory ‘ sandbox ‘. These products have been tested before. ‘Sandbox’ refers to the testing of new products or services in a controlled environment in a real environment. The regulator gives some relaxation in the rules regarding such testing for a limited purpose. According to RBI, these organizations are now banks and NBFCs .Can provide its cross-border payment solutions to regulated businesses including. RBI’s liberalized remittance policy will cover cross-border investments. According to RBI, regulated entities can consider using the product if it complies with all relevant regulatory norms. To enable investors to buy foreign shares effectively, the company will convert the transferred amount into a foreign currency such as US dollars and remit it to a foreign broker.

11.Indian Ports Advisor Ennarasu appointed representative of IAPH India

The International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH) , a global port forum for international cooperation , has named Ennarasu Karuneesan as its representative to develop its network in India . Ennarasu is a Mechanical Engineer with over 33 years of leadership in the maritime and port sector. He started his career in the port industry with Mumbai Port and later worked as General Manager of Operations and CEO of Westport Container Terminal at Port Klang, Malaysia from 2001 to 2004.

12.NITI Aayog releases report titled Digital Bank

NITI Aayog has said that India has the necessary technology to facilitate digital banks and a regulatory framework would need to be put in place to promote it. The Commission in its report titled “Digital Banks: A Proposal for Licensing and Regulatory Regime in India ” has prepared a blueprint for the digital bank licensing and regulatory regime in the country. This paper examines the current gaps, neglected niches and global regulatory best practices for licensing digital banks as appropriate use of technology is critical to meet India’s banking demands.

13.India’s R&D spends lowest in the world: NITI Aayog

India is among the lowest spenders in the world on Research and Development (R&D) . This has been revealed in a study conducted by government think tank NITI Aayog and Institute for Competitiveness . Investment in these declined to 0.7 per cent in 2017-18 as compared to 0.8 per cent of gross domestic product (GDP) in 2008-09. The data shows that India spends less in this regard than other BRICS countries. Brazil spends around 1.2 per cent of GDP, Russia 1.1 per cent, China over 2 per cent while South Africa spends 0.8 per cent on R&D. The world average is around 1.8 percent.

14.India to receive $87 billion in money orders from abroad in 2021: UN Report

India received $ 87 billion in money orders from abroad in 2021 and has been on top in this case . The WHO’s first report on Refugees and Migrants also said that today there are one out of every eight people in the world, that is, about one billion migrants. This is stated in the report of the World Health Organization (WHO). The top five countries in receiving money orders from abroad in dollar terms are India, China, Mexico, the Philippines and Egypt. According to the report, India tops the category of low- and middle-income countries with a net worth of $87 billion in 2021. China and Mexico received $53 billion, the Philippines $36 billion and Egypt $33 billion. Remittances are expected to be better this year as well, but there are challenges due to the COVID-19 crisis, the report said.

18.Birth anniversary of great revolutionary Amar Shaheed Chandrashekhar Azad

Celebrates the birth anniversary of the great revolutionary Amar Shaheed Chandrashekhar Azad on 23rd July . Chandrashekhar Azad was born on July 23, 1906 in Bhavra village of present-day Alirajpur district of Madhya Pradesh .Happened in. Chandrashekhar joined the freedom struggle in 1921, when he was a school student. In December 1921, Mahatma Gandhi started the non-cooperation movement. Chandrashekhar took part in the movement and was arrested by the British. He had put the word “Azad” with his name. Legend has it that when he adopted this name, he swore that the police would never catch him alive. He joined the revolutionary organization “Hindustan Republican Association” formed by Ram Prasad Bismil. He became most famous for the Kakori Rail Robbery in 1925 and the assassination of Assistant Superintendent of Police Don Saunders in 1928. On 23 February 1931, the police surrounded Azad. He was shot in the right thigh which made it difficult for him to survive. There was one bullet left in his pistol and he was surrounded by police. So there was no way for him to escape. He shot himself, keeping a vow to never be caught alive.

Renowned Scientist and Director of Institute of Life Sciences (ILS) , Dr Ajay Kumar Parida has passed away at the age of 58. He was awarded the Padma Shri award in 2014 by the President of India for his outstanding contribution to the field of science. He had also served as the Executive Director at the MS Swaminathan Research Foundation . His research mainly focuses on developing climate resilient crop varieties with abiotic stress tolerance.
