1.USA, separated from the treaty to provide facilities to refugees and strangers :-

The United States has separated from the Treaty of United Nations, in which there is a provision for providing facilities to refugees and strangers. In a statement, the United States Mission in United States has informed the joint secretary general that their country is separating themselves from the global treaty on immigration. It has been stated in the statement that there are several provisions in the New York Declaration of United Nations, which do not meet the Immigration Administration’s immigration policies.

 

2.South Korea, USA practiced the largest air warfare :-

South Korea and the United States practiced by the largest joint air war Monday. Official sources reported this information. The war drills North Korea has made a week after the announcement, which stated that North Korea has successfully tested advanced missiles as part of a weapons program. This announcement generated tension around the world.

The annual US-South Korea war exercise named Vigilant Ace will continue till Friday, in which more than 230 aircraft, including 6 F-22 Raptor Stealth fighters, are taking part. With the South Korean troops, about twelve thousand soldiers of the US Navy and the Air Force are participating in this joint campaign.

 

3.The Palestinian President warned the United States against recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital :-

The President of Palestine warned the United States of America that the White House peace efforts in the Middle East would get a blow from the US recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

The remarks of President Mahmoud Abbas have come as a diplomatic step by the Palestinian leader, in which he has tried to gain international support against the possible US declaration this week. According to the official news agency Wafa, Abbas told Arab MPs from Israel that the move to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital or move the American embassy to Jerusalem will put the future of peace process in jeopardy. He said that doing so would not be acceptable to the Palestinians, the Arabs and the international community.

 

4.Fast Campaigning Campaign in Gujarat :-

The campaign for the first phase of the Gujarat assembly elections has increased. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday termed the Congress as anti-Other Backward Classes, saying that in the Gujarat assembly election, people should give it a good answer to this. In a public meeting in Dharampur, Shri Modi said that Congress did not give any constitutional status to the Other Backward Classes Commission. He said that the Congress could not afford to tolerate the leaders of Gujarat and he always disgraced the state. Shri Modi said that Congress has ignored the medical facilities in tribal areas during its tenure in Gujarat.

Referring to Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi being nominated for the post of President, Shri Modi congratulated the Congress for family politics and termed it as Aurangzeb Raj.

The senior leaders of the Congress themselves believe that the Congress party is not a party, it is a Kunba and if any of them comes to power, it means that the status of the king’s throne is to sit. These Aurangzeb secrets greet them.

Shri Modi said that the well-being of the people belongs to the BJP and 125 crores Indians are hailed by it.

Meanwhile, Congress Vice President X Gandhi said that the BJP government has failed to provide employment to the youth in the state. Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati will campaign in the state tomorrow. Bahujan Samaj Party is contesting all the 182 seats of the state assembly.

 

5.The relief and rescue work by the Central and the State forces in the affected areas of cyclonic storm: Defense Minister :-

Defense Minister Nirmala Sitaraman has said that relief work is being done by the Central and State forces in full swing affected areas. Defense Minister Thiruvananth Puram was interacting with people affected by storm in Vishenjn and Poonthura. Smt. Sitaraman held a high-level meeting with Chief Minister Pinarai Vijayan and senior officials in Sangukamam in Thiruvananthapuram. The meeting took stock of the damage caused by the storm and continued relief work.

Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman assured that relief and rescue work will continue till every fisherman missing in the sea. He said that the rescue work is being run even better than the operation conducted during the Tsunami. They said that all possible measures will be taken to help the storm affected people. In a high-level meeting in Thiruvananthapuram, the Defense Minister said that the details of the relief work and the damage caused by the storm will be informed to the Union Home Minister and accordingly, decisions will be taken regarding the financial assistance from the central government.

Meanwhile, the number of people killed in the incident in Kerala has increased to 19. About 690 missing fishermen have been rescued so far. The news is that 90 fishermen are still missing. About 6 thousand 5 hundred people in the state have taken shelter in relief camps.

Bihar government has announced a grant of Rs. 1 crore to the Lakshadweep Government to deal with the storm by the Chief Minister Relief Fund. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed grief at the loss due to the hurricane.

 

6.Congress Vice President-X Rahul Gandhi has nominated his nomination for the post of Congress chief :-

Congress Vice President-X, Rahul Gandhi on Monday named his nomination for the post of Congress chief in party headquarters in New Delhi. Nomination was the last day today. Party leader Kamal Nath, Smt. Sheila Dikshit, Shri Motilal Vohra and Tarun Gogoi submitted the first set of nominations for the post of Shree Rahul Gandhi as the Proposal.

According to K. Mullarpilit Ramchandra, president of Central Central Election Committee of Congress, no one has filed nomination papers till Sunday. Names can be withdrawn till 11th December and if voting is required, then it will be on December 16. The counting will take place on December 19.

 

7.NGT’s strong criticism of Delhi government regarding air pollution :-

The National Green Tribunal-NGT has strongly criticized the Delhi government on the issue of not implementing a comprehensive action plan to prevent excessive air pollution in Delhi. Despite the poor quality of air, the officials have been reprimanded for organizing the India-Sri Lanka Cricket Test Match.

The Leadership Bench headed by NGT, Nyayamurthy Swroditra Kumar, instructed the government to report it in the next 48 hours.

The Sensex had reached 32,963 with a gain of 130 points in the Bombay Stock Exchange shortly before now. The Nifty of the National Stock Exchange also rose by 38 points to 10 thousand one hundred 60.

After recovering from the early fall in the foreign exchange market in the afternoon, the rupee improved 9 paise and a dollar was sold for 64 rupees and 37 paise.

The Central Government is issuing a new set of photographs and sentences for all the warning signs on packets of tobacco products. Apart from this, to make the message even more comprehensive, toll-free National Helpline number is also printed on its plan packets.

A senior official of the ministry said that the aim of this step is to know whether a new set of photographs and sentences is effective. Our team is going through people and taking their suggestions.

National Tobacco Addiction Line 1800227787 is a dedicated toll free number which provides people with advice and help in quitting tobacco addiction.

 

11.Eight government banks to raise capital by market till March :-

As part of the government’s 2.11 lakh crore recapitalization plan, eight public sector banks (PSUs) have decided to raise capital from the market within four months.

According to the information received, some banks have got the approval from the Ministry of Finance to raise the capital through private placement or right issue, while other banks are in the process of getting approval.

Sources said that most banks are choosing the right institutional planning route to raise capital. Punjab National Bank (PNB) will be the first bank to raise Rs 5000 crore in the market. Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Union Bank, Allahabad Bank and Andhra Bank are also ready to sell the shares.

 

12.Indian archer Deepika Kumari wins bronze medal :-

Indian Archery Deepika Kumari won bronze medal in the Indoor Archery World Cup stage-to championship held in Bangkok on Sunday. In the play-off, former world number one player Deepika defeated Russia’s Sayana Cirempilova 7-3. Kim Surin of Korea defeated Deepika 6-5 in the shoot-off match and shattered the dream of winning gold medal.
