TCS’ brand value to increase from $17.2 billion in 2023 to $19.2 billion in 2024. This year-on-year growth of 11.5% is the highest absolute value growth among the top 25 leading IT companies globally.

3 Persian will also be included in the 9 classical languages ​​of India

External Affairs Minister  S Jaishankar  has decided to include Persian as one of the nine classical languages ​​of India  under  the new education policy  of the Government of India  . 4 Artificial reef project started in Vizhinjam to increase fish population

 In a significant step to boost  fish production and promote sustainable fishing, Union Fisheries Minister  Parshottam  Rupala launched an artificial reef project  in  VizhinjamKerala  .  inauguratedThe initiative aims to double the income of fishermen by increasing fish stocks and contributing to the economic well-being of the local fishing community. The project is designed to boost fishery resources in the area, thereby improving the livelihood of traditional fishermen. Kerala State Coastal Development Corporation, with technical assistance from the Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI), is overseeing the project. The project will deploy 6,300 artificial reef units in 42 fishing villages from Pozhiyur to Varkala in Thiruvananthapuram district.

7 Rare Tibetan brown bear found for the first time in India

10 Apple overtakes Samsung to become top smartphone maker for the first time since 2010

Apple  has  sold the most smartphones globally in 2023,  leaving behind  Korean company Samsung  . This has been revealed in the IDC report. After almost  13 years, Apple has left Samsung behind in terms of mobile shipments worldwide  . The company has sold a total of 236.4 million mobile units in 2023, which is 8 million units more than Samsung. According to the IDC report, global smartphone shipments have declined by 3.2% in 2023 to a total of 1.17 billion units shipped, which is the lowest in the last 10 years.

11 You can make UPI payment abroad through Google Pay

NPCI  is continuously taking several steps to increase digital payments in the country  . Now apart from India,  payment can be done through  UPI in many countries of the world.  An agreement has been signed between  NPC and Google to promote UPI Payment  . Google India Digital Services  and  NPCI International Payments Limited  have partnered to expand UPI payments to countries outside India. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will enable Indian travelers to make payments in other countries through Google Pay (also known as GPay). In such a situation, the problem of carrying cash or foreign currency while going abroad will end.

14 Tata Group bags IPL title sponsorship for next 5 years

Tata Sons Private Limited  has   successfully exercised its Right to Match card by retaining the prestigious title sponsorship of  the Indian Premier League (IPL)   for   the upcoming  five seasons from 2024 to 2028 . This development follows the Board of Control for  Cricket in India (BCCI)  issued an invitation to tender (ITT) for the title sponsorship rights in late December 2023. In 2022, Tata Group initially replaced Chinese mobile manufacturer  Vivo as the IPL title sponsor for the 2022 and 2023 seasons  , contributing Rs 365 crore per season. With its current decision to retain the title sponsorship, the Group is set for an extended and major association with the world’s most lucrative cricket league.
