    1.The President has given national awards of excellent services in the prevention of alcohol and drug abuse :-

    President Shri Ramnath Kovind presented the National Award for Excellence in Excellence in the Prevention of Drugs and Drug Abuse on the occasion of International Drug Abuse and Trafficking Day in New Delhi (June 26, 2018) .

    Addressing the occasion, the President said that the problem of drug addiction and alcoholism has negative impact on many areas such as health , culture , development and politics , including persons , families and society. He said that addiction raises poverty and challenges our development and public welfare as well as our national security.

     

    2.Visas discount to foreign designers in handicrafts sector :-

    In order to give employment visas to foreign designers, the handicrafts sector has been given a discount of minimum wage condition (16.25 lakh rupees per year) for a period of two years ie from 30th June , 2020.

    The Handicrafts Export Promotion Council (EPCH) requested the Central Textile Minister to take necessary steps for exemption from the minimum wage condition to give employment visas to foreign designers. In order to give this discount for handicrafts sector, the urgent step taken by the Textile Minister will help the exporters to get the services of international designers in line with their needs.

     

    3.India-Australia Joint Ministerial Commission’s 15th meeting took place in Australia  :-

    The 15th meeting of the India-Australia Joint Ministerial Commission was held on June 25 , 2018 in Canberra, Australia. The meeting was chaired jointly by the Minister of Commerce and Industry and Civil Aviation, Shri Suresh Prabhu and Australia’s Trade, Tourism and Investment Minister Mr. Steven Ciobo .

    The meeting of the Joint Ministerial Commission was held in a goodwill environment after a gap of four years. Ministers stressed the need to increase bilateral trade and investment. In this regard both countries agreed to increase mutual cooperation in the field of trade. Memorandum of Understanding was signed to boost the bilateral disinvestment between Ostrad and Investment India.

     

    4.Portugal and Spain have reached the final 16 in the FIFA Football World Cup :-

    Last night, in the FIFA Football World Cup, Saudi Arabia defeated Egypt 2-1 in a formula of Group-A, in the final minute of the winger Salim Al Dasari, in the last minute of the injury time, in the final form of the tournament, by saying goodbye to the football World Cup. Salman al-Faraj did not make any mistake in converting the penalty awarded to Saudi Arabia. After this, Salim ensured the team’s winning goal.

     

    5.India and Seychelles agree on many important agreements :-

    In a bilateral dialogue between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the President of Seychelles Danny Forere in Delhi-based Hyderabad House, there was a discussion on the issues related to security, security, peace in the region, issues such as piracy and cultural exchange between the two countries. After the talks between the two leaders, PM Modi said that India and Seychelles are the key strategic partners and both countries are committed to maintaining peace and stability in the Indian Ocean region.

     

    6.Iran prepares import of more than thirteen hundred products to prepare to deal with the effects of US sanctions :-

    Iran has banned imports of more than one thousand three hundred products to face the import restrictions. This step has been taken in view of the massive opposition to the record decline in the value of country’s currency. Thousands of businessmen protested heavily in Tehran yesterday. They also gathered before the Parliament Under the pressure of US import restrictions, the value of Iran’s currency rial has come down to the lowest level of the dollar.

     

    7.FIFA World Cup 2018: Argentina defeats Nigeria to make it to the next round, now France will be competing :-

    St. Petersburg, the world saw the most interesting match of the FIFA World Cup 2018, where Argentina defeated Nigeria 2-1 and entered the knockout. In this volatile full toss, defender Marcos Roso scored a decisive goal after legendary striker Leon Messi and brought his team to the last 16. Four minutes before the scheduled time, Roso scored the decisive goal. In the 2014 World Cup, both of them also defeated Nigeria. In the final 16 Argentina will face France.

     

    8.The Reserve Bank of India has taken a big step to protect the ATM from hacking, these instructions issued to banks :-

    Reserve Bank of India issued instructions to remove all Windows XP ATM machines from all over the country. According to the media report, all banks have got the time to remove the computer from Windows XP with their ATM till September 2019. The main reason for this is being considered cyber attack. After the virus operation last year in the old operating system, many institutions have changed their old computers and are upgrading their system.

     

    9.Seychelles entrusted by India, Marine borders will be safe through second drone plane, Dornier :-

    It will reach Dornier Seychelles before June 29. 42nd Independence Day will be celebrated there on this day. It is built in HAL (Hindustan Aeronautics Limited). In a joint press conference on Monday, PM Modi expressed hope that the relations between the two countries will be intensified and the work on the Island project will be expedited.

     

    10.Now the union personnel will not get overtime, the decision according to the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission :-

    The Central Government has decided to discontinue the overtime allowance of the rest of the employees except the operational personnel (Operational Staff).

    According to the order issued by the Ministry of Personnel, this step has been taken in view of the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission. This order will apply to all the ministries, departments, affiliates and under-going offices of the Government of India.

    Operating personnel include all non-ministryalized non-gazetted central workers who are directly involved in smooth functioning of the offices. These include those who are responsible for the operation of electrical and mechanical equipment.

     

    11.Idea shareholders accept Vodafone-Idea Limited name :-

    Idea Cellular, the country’s leading telecom operator, has approved the name of Vodafone Idea Limited for the company formed by the merger of Vodafone-Idea. Also, the plan to raise Rs 15,000 crore in the company’s General Meeting (General Meeting) was also approved.

    According to the agenda, the new name put before the shareholders will be effective only after the completion of the merger (merger) process of both the companies. In the information sent to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Bombay, the company has said that the issue of non-convertible securities was approved on the basis of changes in name of the company and private planning in the General Body. Idea and Vodafone are going to merge their businesses. Official sources say the approval for merger by the Department of Telecommunications is in the final stages.
