1.Tribes India will open a sales center at Ahmedabad, Udaipur and Kolkata airports :-

The Airports Authority of India has given place to Ahmedabad, Udaipur and Kolkata airports to open the sale center of Tribes India. Triphad has been offered placements to open the centers of Tribes India at Dehradun, Varanasi, Pune, Goa, Coimbatore, Lucknow, Amritsar and Gangtok airports. This will not only be a good opportunity to get market for tribal products but will also help promote “Tribes India” as a brand.

Trifad has set up a network of 89 sales centers so far. There are 42 own sales centers across the country, 33 are transmitted merchandising centers, and 14 franchisee sales centers, while on 30.07.2017, 29 were its sales centers, 13 transmitted merchandising centers.

 

2.37th meeting of the Central Approval and Monitoring Committee (CSMC) of the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme – Approval of 1,12,213 urban dwellings in 8 states :-

The Union Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry has approved the construction of 1,12,213 additional cheap houses for the benefit of the urban poor under the Prime Minister’s housing scheme (urban). This approval was given in the 37th meeting of the Central Approval and Monitoring Committee here yesterday.

Andhra Pradesh has been sanctioned 37 , 719 whereas Haryana has sanctioned 19,858 cheap houses. 18,375 for Madhya Pradesh, 12,238 for Maharashtra, 10,632 for Chhattisgarh, 8,761 houses for Karnataka has been approved. For Jammu and Kashmir this number would be 4,442 and for Arunachal Pradesh 188.

After getting the final approval from the CSMC with the above proposal, the number of cumulative residences under PMAY (U) will be 54,95,443.

 

3.1.5 lakh health centers will also be opened under the Ayushman Bharat program, plans to open medical colleges and hospitals in every district: Prime Minister Narendra Modi  :-

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that his government wants to establish a medical college and hospital in every district of the country. Addressing the gathering after inaugurating the Gujarat Medical and Education Research Society Hospital in Junagadh in Gujarat, Shri Modi said that there is also a plan to make 1.5 lakh health centers under his government’s Ayushman Bharat Scheme. These health centers will get health care for six lakh villages. The Prime Minister said that to provide the best health care services to the villagers, a health center will be built every 10 to 12 kilometers. He said that the Central Government has also started the Public Drug Center. Drugs are getting cheaper by this initiative.

Shri Modi also handed over one lakh 15 thousand houses to the beneficiaries under the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme through video conferencing from Jujwa village of Valsad district.

 

4.China responded and imposed a 25 percent tax on US products of US $ 16 billion :-

Trade war between the United States and China has become deeper. The US has imposed a twenty-five percent duty on goods worth $ 16 billion coming from China in the country. China has imposed the same fees on US products for immediate change. With this, goods worth $ 100 billion worth of goods between the two countries have come under the purview of this duty. This is approximately seventeen percent of total trade in the US and China.

 

5.Rohan Bopanna and Divij Sharan won the gold medal in men’s tennis doubles at the Asian Games. India also got gold medal in the sailing :-

On the sixth day of the 18th Asian Games, India today won three gold / two gold and one silver and three bronze medals.

In the final match of the women’s kabaddi, India has won gold by defeating Iran. India has won the silver medal.

In men’s doubles, Rohan Bopanna and Divij Sharan got the gold medal by defeating Kazakhstan’s Alexander Bubilik and Dennis Yevseyev 6-3, 6-4.

Heena Sidhu won the bronze medal in women’s 10 meter air pistol event. In the same contest, Manu Bhek stayed in fourth place.

Earlier, in the rowing competition, Swarn Singh of Diving team, Dattu Bhokanal, Om Prakash and Sukhmeet Singh won today’s first gold medal in Quadruple Sculls. At the same time, Dushyant got the lightweight singles sculls and Rohit Kumar and Bhagwan Singh got bronze medals in lightweight double sculls competition.

 

6.Union Ministers Arun Jaitley returned with the Finance Ministry, officials meeting :-

Union minister Arun Jaitley, after three months, took charge of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs again on Thursday. Information and Broadcasting Minister Col Rajyavardhan Rathore welcomed Mr. Jaitley in a tweet. Shri Rathod wished his health to serve the country in the coming years.

On May 14, due to his kidney transplant, Mr. Jaitley’s work was entrusted to Mr. Piyush Goyal on an interim basis.

 

7.America has canceled the aid amount to the Palestinians  :-

America has canceled the aid amount to the Palestinians. In his statement, the US said that he has banned aid of over 200 million US dollars for Palestinians in Gaza Strip and West Bank. A senior State Department official said on Friday that after the review of aid programs in the Palestinian areas, the decision has been taken on the order of the President.

 

8.Growth of 7.5 percent GDP in 2018: Moody’s :-

The Global Credit Rating, Research and Analysis firm Moody’s Investors Service expects that the Indian economy will grow at a rate of 7.5 per cent in 2018 and 2019. However, the company expects GDP growth to be 7.7 per cent in the first half of 2018.

Moody’s said in its Global Macro Outlook 2018-19 report, “We expect the Indian economy to be around 7.5 per cent in 2018 and 2019. Also, in the first half of 2018, the economic activity can increase by 7.7 per cent. High-frequency indicator also suggests such a rise in the second quarter, this growth rate is driven by strong urban and rural demand and better industrial activities. ”

According to the firm, the PMI (Purchasing Manager Index) and the eight core sector sector show strong activity in the industrial sector. This report said, “With the increase in minimum support prices for kharif crops, a normal monsoon should support rural demand.”

 

9.SBI will launch biometric authentication service soon, bank account will be safe :-

The country’s public sector State Bank of India (SBI) will soon introduce ‘Multi-mode’ biometrics authentication for its mobile application. For instance, Two Factor will be completed by fingerprint or introduction recognition or Voice Recognition software from a bank’s server in Authenticon.

Bank’s scheme is to introduce biometrics features for various mobile banking products, which include mobile wallet and unified payment interface (UPI) transaction. For this, the bank is in the last phase of choosing a service provider. Also, applications have been received from the Technology Providers for this.

Customers who have fingerprint embedded smartphones will be able to authenticate the transactions in the future with the help of this feature. However, in order to use the fingerprint authentication feature, the customer will have to register on the bank’s mobile banking app server.

 

10.BCCI releases Ranji match schedule, UP team to play 8 matches in competition :-
