The United States has accused Russia of harming the West. US Finance Minister Steven Manchin said that seven businessmen and 12 companies owned by Russia and 17 senior government officials have been banned. He also said that Russia had benefited from the corrupt system. Russia has called the new restrictions a new blow to the relations between the two countries.

Though the government’s efforts to remove the deadlock could not be successful, there was no discussion on the non-confidence motion brought by the various parties in the Lok Sabha against him in the Lok Sabha. The budget session began on January 29 in the joint sitting of both the Houses from President Ramnath Kovind’s address. The first phase was concluded on 9th February and the beginning of the second phase started from March 5 which was completed today. Speaker M Venkaiah Naidu and Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan expressed concern over the continuous stand-off in the second phase and said that it is not right for the members to not do the legislative work by a ruckus. The Speaker said, “I just want to say that this meeting is the most sacred platform for members to raise issues of public interest and public welfare. I understand the concerns of the members about lifting issues of their respective parliamentary constituencies but they have to keep in mind the wider interests of the country. “

Govt. forms committee to regulate news portals : – Related imageThe Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has instituted a committee to regulate online portals, including news websites, entertainment sites and media aggregators. The 10-member committee will include secretaries of the departments of Home, Legal Affairs, Electronics and Information and Technology, and Industrial Policy and Promotion. The CEO of MyGov and a representative each of the Press Council of India and National Broadcasters’ Association will also be part of the committee.

The Minister of State for MSME, Giriraj Singh chaired the meeting. The Minister launched a mobile phone application for locating 4,000 Khadi stores in the country. There are more than 8,000 Khadistores in India, the rest of stores will also be available on the store locater by the end of this month. This was informed by Vinai Kumar Saxena, Chairman KVIC in the board meeting.
