15 Ravneet Kaur appointed as Chairperson of Competition Commission of India
Ravneet Kaur has been appointed as the new Chairperson of the Competition Commission of India (CCI) by the Central Government . She has become the first woman officer to reach this position . 16 HPCL to set up ethanol plant at Una at a cost of Rs 500 crore
Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu told a meeting held to review the construction of proposed ethanol plant at Jeetpur Bahedi in Gagret assembly constituency of Una district in Himachal Pradesh that the state government was ready to invest 50 per cent stake in the project. He assured that the government would extend full cooperation to the executing company for setting up the plant. The company assured to present the Chief Minister’s proposal before the Board of Directors. The plant will be set up by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) on 30 acres of land at a cost of about Rs 500 crore.
