5.PM to inaugurate Institute of Petrochemical Technology in Jaipur via video conference

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Institute of Petrochemical Technology in Jaipur through video conference . He will also lay the foundation stone of four new medical colleges in Bansawada , Sirohi, Hanumangarh and Dausa districts of Rajasthan . These medical colleges have been sanctioned under the scheme of setting up a centrally sponsored-new university/referral hospital. Under this scheme, priority is given to backward and aspirational districts. One hundred and fifty seven new medical colleges have been sanctioned across the country in three phases of the scheme.

6.Cabinet approves continuation of National Scheme PM Nutrition in schools for five more years

Cabinet government of four thousand 62 crore and State and UT Governments of thirty thousand seven hundred and Rs 33 crore from the financial support of Prime Minister nutrition plan and five years is allowed to continue. This will benefit 11 crore 80 lakh students of 11 lakh 20 thousand schools. The central government will also bear the additional expenditure of Rs 45,000 crore on food grains. The total budget of this scheme is one lakh 30 thousand seven hundred 95 crores.Is. This centrally supported scheme will benefit the students of classes I to VIII studying in all government and government aided schools. Earlier the name of this scheme was National Scheme for Mid-Day Meal in Schools. It was also known as Mid-day meal scheme. Now it is proposed to expand the scope of this scheme to include all government and government aided primary or children studying in the garden. Under PM Poshan Yojana, free food will be given to crores of children of the country for the next 5 years. This scheme is associated with the state education department and in this crores of children of the country who come from poor families will be given the benefit of nutrition scheme. For this, the central government has also decided to allocate additional funds. This scheme will be started for the children who go to government schools to study. It has been named Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman Yojana.

On the occasion of World Rabies Day , the Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Shri Mansukh Mandaviya and the Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Shri Purushottam Rupala, unveiled the National Action Plan for Dog-mediated Rabies Elimination by 2030 (NAPRE) . The Ministers urged all the States and Union Territories to make Rabies a noticeable disease. Mr. Mansukh Mandaviya and Mr. Purushottam Rupala also launched a “Joint Inter-Ministerial Declaration of Support Statement” for the elimination of dog borne rabies by 2030 through the OneHealth approach.

After successful pilot level of ‘ Aapda Mitra ‘ scheme in 30 districts of the country, the government is planning to launch ‘Aapda Mitra’ (Friend in Disaster) scheme in 350 districts across the country . Along with this, Common Alerting Protocol (CAP)Documents have also been issued for CAP is a simple yet common format for sharing all types of network based emergency alerts and public alerts. It is a central sector scheme which was launched in May 2016. The National Disaster Management Authority is the implementing agency of the scheme. It is a scheme to identify suitable persons in disaster-prone areas, in which the first Aapda Mitras can be trained for rescue operations at the time of disasters. Under the scheme, to provide necessary skills to the community volunteers keeping in mind the immediate needs of their community after the disaster to enable them to undertake basic relief and rescue operations during emergency situations like flash floods and floods arising in urban areas.

International Satellite Program in Research and Education ( International Satellite Program In Research And Education- INSPIRE developed under) Inspirsat -1 CUBESAT Satellite ( INSPIRESAT-L Cubesat Satellite) is ready for launch. The InspireSat-1 CubeSat satellite is a small scientific satellite to be placed in low Earth orbit, capable of studying the Earth’s ionosphere with a compact lonosphere probe. The ionosphere is the part of the atmosphere that is ionized by solar radiation. CIP is an all-in-one plasma sensor that uses a single instrument to perform multiple sensor functions in a time-sharing mechanism. It will also provide insight into why the Sun’s corona is hotter than the photosphere, Why do the abundance of elements change during different solar events and how do these events affect the Earth’s ionosphere? It weighs less than 10 kg and will be launched from the upcoming Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). PSLV is India’s third generation launch vehicle. It is the first Indian launch vehicle with a liquid stage. It is a four-stage launch vehicle in which the first and third stages use solid rocket motors and the second and fourth stages use liquid rocket engines. Its development includes the University of Colorado Boulder, the US Laboratory of Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP), National Central University, Taiwan, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST). INSPIRE is a consortium of universities active in space programs, created to advance space science and engineering. The INSPIRE program envisages a group of Earth and space-weather observation satellites which includes a series of InspireSat (from InspireSat-1 to InspireSat-7).

15.NASSCOM: Cryptotech Industry Could Add $184B Of Economic Value In India

According to a report by the country’s leading trade body for the tech industry, the crypto industry in India has the potential to add $184 billion in economic value by 2030 in the form of investments and cost savings . National Association of Software and Services Companies ( NASSCOM)The report titled “Crypto Industry in India” was published by Binance-owned crypto exchange WazirX. The “CryptoTech” industry – companies involved in trade, payments, remittances, retail and more – is expected to reach $241 million in India by 2030 and $2.3 billion globally by 2026. The industry currently employs 50,000 people in India, a number that NASSCOM expects to grow to over 800,000 by the end of the decade.

16.RBI limits WMA to Rs 50,000 crore

The Reserve Bank of India has increased the limit of Ways and Means Advances (WMA) to Rs 50,000 crore for the second half of the financial year 2021-22 i.e. from October 2021 to March 2022 . When the Government of India utilizes 75 per cent of the WMA limit , the Reserve Bank can trigger fresh inflows of market credit. The Reserve Bank reserves the flexibility to revise the time limit at any time, in consultation with the Government of India, keeping in view the prevailing circumstances. The interest rate for WMA will be the repo rate, the interest rate for overdraft will be two per cent higher than the repo rate.

17.MCA extends the tenure of Company Law Committee by 1 year

18.RBI imposes a fine of 2 crores on RBL Bank

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has imposed a penalty of Rs 2 crore on RBL Bank for non-compliance with the provisions of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 . RBI said the penalty has been imposed in exercise of the powers vested under the provisions of section 47A(1)(c) read with section 46(4)(i) of the Act. An investigation by the RBI revealed that the private lender was non-compliant in opening five savings deposit accounts for a co-operative bank. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) also imposed a penalty of Rs 11 lakh on Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) State Co-operative Bank, Srinagar for inadequacy in regulatory compliance. According to the report, the J&K State Co-operative Bank had opened branches without prior permission from RBI in violation of Section 23 read with Section 56 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949.
