1.Agree with cooperation between tour and institutional negotiation mechanisms for promoting better relations and cooperation between India and China :-

Image result for India and China have agreed to exploreIndia and China have agreed to explore the possibilities of strengthening cooperation through visits and institutional dialogue mechanisms with the aim of promoting better relations and cooperation between the two countries. During the 11th Round of Working Mechanism on Consultation and Cooperation for Indo-China Border Affairs in New Delhi, the two sides exchanged views on the methods of better border management.

The Indian delegation was led by Joint Secretary Pranay Verma of the East Asia Affairs Ministry in Foreign Ministry while the Chinese side was led by his borders and the Director General of Sea Affairs Yi Jianliang.

 

2.India protested against persecution and persecution of officials and employees of the Indian High Commission in Islamabad and sent protest letter to Pakistan :-

In the diplomatic protest letter, India has mentioned three such incidents that happened in the past. India has said that creating a threat to harassment, intimidation and physical protection of diplomats and embassy personnel is a violation of the Vienna Agreement on diplomatic relations of 1961. The letter also mentions the blocking of the Indian High Commission’s website in Islamabad and the obstacles coming in to the general work of the High Commission.

 

3.Voting for 26 Rajya Sabha seats in seven states :-

Image result for Union Minister Ravi Shankar PrasadVoting is going on for the 26 seats of Rajya Sabha in seven states. Polling was held in 58 seats in Rajya Sabha, of which 33 candidates from 10 states were elected unopposed on March 15. These include Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and Prakash Javadekar, along with seven Central Ministers.

Legislators are voting in 25 constituencies for Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh and Telangana. 11 candidates are in the fray for 10 seats in Uttar Pradesh. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party has fielded nine candidates, including Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Anil Agarwal. Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party have one candidate. Samajwadi Party has its current member Jaya Bachchan in Rajya Sabha while Bahujan Samaj Party has made former MLA Bhimrao Ambedkar the candidate.

 

4.The Supreme Court sought detailed reply from 12 States and Union Territories for not appointing Lokayukta :-

Image result for Supreme CourtThe Supreme Court has sought detailed reply from 12 States and Union Territories for not appointing Lokayukta. These include J & K, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Delhi and West Bengal. The Supreme Court has also asked them to tell the right time to appoint Lokayukta from these states. Justice Ranjan Gogoi and R. Bhanumati has directed the Chief Secretaries of these States and Union Territories to submit the affidavit within two weeks to make the situation informed.

 

5.Social Justice and Empowerment Minister releases Indian Sign Language :-

Image result for Social Justice and Empowerment MinisterSocial Justice and Empowerment Minister Thavarchand Gehlot released the first Indian Sign Language Dictionary of three thousand words at a ceremony in New Delhi on Friday. On this occasion, Shri Gahlot said that the main purpose of making this dictionary is to remove contact barriers for the deaf. Mr. Gahlot said that in this dictionary more words will be added soon.

 

6.Announcement of imposing high tariff rates on China’s $ 3 billion imported goods from China :-

In a statement, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce has urged the United States to withdraw this step to avoid the possibility of facing one of the world’s two biggest economies.

 

7.Lithium used in space operations Agreement between ISRO and BHEL to produce ion batteries :-

Image result for ISROIndian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has signed a technology transfer agreement with Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) for the production of lithium-ion batteries used for space work. On this agreement, the ISRO president, Dr. K., at ISRO’s headquarters in Bangalore yesterday. Signed in the presence of Mr. Atul Sobti, Chairman and Managing Director, Sivan and BHEL.

Leo-ion batteries are used by ISRO as their energy resources, reliability and long-lasting properties, due to the launch of satellite and spacecraft as energy sources. Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC) located at Thiruvananthapuram, ISRO has successfully developed the technology to build leyon batteries used for space work. Along with this, he has demonstrated the capacity of these batteries in different types of tests and has proved its properties for long periods. These batteries are currently used for the launch of various satellites and intersections as energy saving.

 

8.Roundtable of Invest India chaired by Suresh Prabhu :-

Image result for Roundtable of Invest India chaired by Suresh PrabhuMinister of Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation Suresh Prabhu chaired the Roundtable of Invest India in New Delhi. On this occasion, in the presence of the Minister there were discussions with the respective ministries and departments of the Government of India regarding the various regulatory issues arising from the introduction of the e-pharmacy, NBFC, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and the Door to Door Retail Delivery Sector of Petroleum. The presence of pharmacists on e-pharmacy platforms, simplifying the application process for the NBFCs by the RBI, improving the existing guidelines for the UAE sector, which currently do not allow the manufacturing of drones, and specifications related to the Door to door delivery vehicles of Petroleum But there was a widespread discussion.

The Minister said that roundtable is a self-evaluation exercise for encouraging talent in India, which are doing great work through their startups for the economic and development of the country.
