Government to launch prevention, screening and control programme for 5 non-communicable diseases :-
The Union Health Ministry will soon launch population based prevention, screening and control programme for five common non-communicable diseases (NCDs) on the occasion of World Cancer Day (4th February). They are Hypertension, Diabetes, and Cancers of oral cavity, breast and cervix. This programme will be launched as part of the National Health Mission.
Committee constituted to set rules for implementation of Disabilities Act, 2016 :-
The Union Government has constituted committee (Working Group) to frame uniform rules for the states to avoid delay in proper implementation of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 across the country.
Government shifts disinvestment advising role to Department of Economic Affairs :-
The Union Government has transferred the advising role of Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) on utilisation of the proceeds from disinvestment to the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA).

Draft steel policy anticipates Rs. 10 lakh crore investments :-
The Steel Ministry has released new draft National Steel Policy of 2017, envisaging to double India’s domestic steel production capacity to 300 million tonnes by 2030-31.
ISRO to launch record 103 satellites on a single rocket :-
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is planning to set a new world record in space history by launching 103 satellites in one go on a single rocket in the first week of February, 2017.

साइना नेहवाल ने जीता मलेशिया मास्टर्स खिताब:-
1.शीर्ष भारतीय बैडमिंटन खिलाड़ी साइना नेहवाल ने कडे मुकाबले के बाद मलेशिया मास्टर्स ग्रां प्री गोल्ड पर कब्जा करते हुए इंजुरी के बाद अपना पहला खिताब जीता।
2.खिताबी मुकाबले में लंदन ओलंपिक की कांस्य विजेता ने थाईलैंड की 18 वर्षीय पोर्नपावी चोचुवोंग को 46 मिनट में सीधे सेटों में 22-20, 22-20 से हराया।
3.यह साइना का कुल 23वां खिताब तथा गत वर्ष ऑस्ट्रेलियन ओपन के बाद पहली खिताबी जीत है।
महिलाओं की सुरक्षा के लिए पुनर्गठित हुई टास्क फोर्स:-
1.दिल्ली सरकार के होम डिपार्टमेंट ने एलजी अनिल बैजल से मंजूरी लेकर उनकी अध्यक्षता में स्पेशल टास्क फोर्स के पुनर्गठन के लिये ऑर्डर जारी किया। स्पेशल टास्क फोर्स बनाने का फैसला हाई कोर्ट के दखल के बाद हुआ।
2.एलजी की अध्यक्षता में महिलाओं के लिए स्पेशल टास्क फोर्स का पुनर्गठन कर दिया गया है। टास्क फोर्स में एलजी के सहित 17 सदस्य होंगे।इस टास्क फोर्स की हर 15 दिन में मीटिंग होगी।
3.इससे पहले, केंद्रीय गृह सचिव के नेतृत्व में गठित स्पेशल टास्क फोर्स को 2016 में भंग कर दिया गया।
पी के के नायर का निधन:-
1.प्रसिद्घ वैज्ञानिक पी के के नायर, जो अक्सर `भारतीय पेलिनोलॉजी ‘(पराग अनाज का अध्ययन) के जनक के रूप में जाने जाते थे, का बेंगलुरू में अपने आवास पर निधन हो गया।
2.नायर पर्यावरण संसाधन अनुसंधान केंद्र, तिरुवनंतपुरम के संस्थापक निदेशक और अवकाश प्राप्त अध्यक्ष थे तथा अनुसंधान और उष्णकटिबंधीय जीव विज्ञान, पारिस्थितिकी और सतत विकास के क्षेत्र में विकास के लिए समर्पित थे।
पीएनबी ने कॉंटेक्टलैस क्रेडिट कार्ड लांच किया:-
1.डिजिटलीकरण की एक और पहल में पंजाब नेशनल बैंक (पीएनबी) ने एक कॉंटेक्टलैस क्रेडिट कार्ड लांच किया है।
2.‘पीएनबी वेव एन पे’ नामक यह नया क्रेडिट कार्ड राजधानी में पीएनबी की प्रबंध निदेशक एवं मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी उषा अनंतसुब्रमण्यम द्वारा लांच किया गया।
3.यह कार्ड सिर्फ टर्मिनल के ऊपर लहराते हुए इस्तेमाल किया जा सकता है और लेन-देन इसी के माध्यम से किया जाएगा। इसमें 2,000 रुपये तक के लेन-देन के लिए किसी भी पिन को दर्ज करने की कोई जरूरत नहीं है।
4.इस कॉंटेक्टलैस क्रेडिट कार्ड वीजा प्लेटिनम मंच पर शुरू किया गया है
