1.Defense Minister Nirmala Sitaraman flew the Indian Air Force’s forward line fighter aircraft Sukhoi-30 :-

Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman flew the Indian Air Force’s forward line fighter Sukhoi-30 from today’s Jodhpur Air Force base. The country’s first woman defense minister wearing a G-suit sat on the driver’s seat.

Defense sources told that they reviewed the operational preparedness of the combat aircraft and its ability to fight. Sukhoi-30 MKI is an aircraft with nuclear capacity that can kill enemies on the earth far away.

 

2.Agreeing to consider a proposal to impose a one-stop ban on North Korea ahead of UN Security Council resolution in the meeting of twenty countries :-

In the meeting of twenty nations, it was agreed to consider moving forward beyond the UN Security Council resolutions against North Korea to impose a one-sided ban. The United States and Canada jointly organize this meeting in Vancouver to discuss ways to end North Korea’s nuclear weapons.

In a joint statement, USA and Canada said that the participating countries have agreed to take a one-sided ban against North Korea and consider for diplomatic action.

Countries supporting South Korea during the Korean War in 1950-53 also have resolved to support the new dialogue between the two Koreans so that the tension between the two countries is reduced and the diplomatic solution to this crisis can be overcome. Earlier, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said that the threat is increasing, and if North Korea does not choose the path of dialogue and dialogue, then he himself will choose the option. Meanwhile, the ministers of North and South  Korea will hold a meeting to discuss the issue of North Korea participating in the Winter Olympic Games.

 

3.Prime Minister Modi and Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu performed road shows in Ahmedabad :-

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are on a one-day tour of Gujarat. Both leaders today made a road show in Ahmedabad. During this time the performers of various states performed dance and art in their traditional costumes.

Earlier, Governor of Gujarat OP Kohli and Chief Minister Vijay Rupani welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Ahmedabad airport. Mr. Modi received the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Both leaders later went to the Sabarmati Ashram and paid homage to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. Shri Netanyahu undertook a spinning wheel in the ashram.

Our correspondent told that the two leaders went to Devdolora in Ahmedabad to enter the Entrepreneurship and Technical International Center (I Create). The Prime Minister of Israel presented the Gail Mobile Jeep, which cleans salt water to Shri Modi. During the Prime Minister’s visit to Israel last year, the two leaders had ridden this jeep on the Olga beach.

 

4.Bangladesh, Rohingyas agree to complete the process of sending back the Myanmar within two years :-

Bangladesh has agreed to complete the process of sending Rohingja back to Myan within two years. After a meeting between the two neighboring countries in the capital of Myanmar, a statement from the Foreign Ministry of Bangladesh said that every returning family will be considered as a unit.

5.Supreme court agrees to hear the petition of filmmakers against Padmavat’s protest :-

The Supreme Court has agreed to hear the petition of filmmakers against the ban of various state governments on the performance of the controversial film Padmavat. Governments of Rajasthan, Haryana, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh have banned filming in view of the law and order. The film is to be released on January 25.

 

5.The newly constituted Constitution of five judges of the Supreme Court will start hearing many important matters including constitutional validity of the base law :-

The newly constituted Constitution Bench of five judges of the Supreme Court will start hearing many important matters from today. In this bench headed by Chief Justice Deepak Mishra, Justice AK Singh Sikri, A.M. Khanvilkar, D.Y. Chandrachud and Ashok Bhushan.

Among the cases on which the bench will hear, the constitutional validity of the base law and the petition for challenging the judgment of the Supreme Court of declaring the relationship to the consent of Adolescent lesbians included in the petition. Other issues to be placed before the bench include the issue of disqualification of MP or MLA facing a criminal trial. All these issues were referred to the various benches of the Supreme Court before the first bench.

 

6.The government decided to remove one lakh twenty thousand and the names of companies from the official record under the fight against black money :-

The government has decided to remove one lakh 20 thousand and the name of the companies from the official record. Under the fight against black money, the government is canceling the registration of companies not following the rules.

This decision of the government came after a review meeting held last week. Minister of Corporate Affairs P.P. In the meeting chaired by Chaudhary, the action taken against those companies have been reviewed, which have been canceled.

 

7.Center approves projects worth ten thousand crores to improve communication facilities in the North-East :-

The Center has approved projects worth more than Rs. 10 thousand crore to improve the communication network in the Northeast. Telecom Minister Manoj Sinha said in Guwahati that most of the projects will be completed this year. Telecom Minister said that two MoUs for communication facilities in the disadvantaged areas of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and the Northeast have been signed.

Assam’s Information Technology Minister Keshab Mahanta said that the center will send two nodal officers to monitor the progress of the work. He hoped that the work of laying optical fiber cables in the state will be completed this year.

 

8.Government ends Haj subsidy :-
