July 3  was the hottest day ever  recorded  globally . US  According to data from  the National Center for Environmental Prediction , the average global temperature on Monday  had reached 17.00-1 degree Celsius . This is a new summer record. In the year 2016, the highest   temperature of 16.9-2 degree Celsius  was recorded in August  globally . This is due to  El Nino The effect of is being told. 2 DGCA signs MoU with European Union Aviation Safety Agency for Unmanned Aircraft Systems and Advanced Air Mobility

India’s  Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has  signed  a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)  with  the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for cooperation in the field of unmanned aircraft systems and advanced air mobility  . The MoU will focus on cooperation in the field of unmanned aircraft and advanced air mobility between the two civil aviation authorities. This includes coordination between DGCA and EASA on the development of certification and environmental standards and other certification requirements, and the use of unmanned aircraft systems and advanced air mobility operations including licensing, training of personnel, and air traffic including Unmanned Aircraft System Traffic Management (UTM) standards and services. This would include cooperation in management and infrastructural facilities.

3 Gujarat government doubles the amount of insurance cover under Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana

The Gujarat government  has   doubled the amount of insurance cover  under  the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana . Now the beneficiaries of this scheme   will get an insurance cover of Rs 10 lakh instead of Rs 5 lakh . This decision will come into effect from 11th of this month. The State Health Minister said that this decision of the government would benefit about one crore 78 lakh Ayushman Bharat card holders of the state. He said that under the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Yojana, the beneficiaries would get free medical treatment facility in two thousand government hospitals and 795 private hospitals in the state. Gujarat ranks fifth in settling claims made by beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat card holders.

4 Sri Lanka’s Jaffna University and I.I.T. MoU was signed between Madras

The agreement   provides for several opportunities for benefits including exchange of students and faculty between the two institutions. 5 Diplomatic relations between Egypt and Turkey now at the ambassadorial level

Egypt and Turkey  have upgraded diplomatic relations to the ambassadorial level  for the first time in a decade  . A joint statement said the decision was aimed at re-establishing normal relations between the two countries. Amr Elhamami  will become Egypt’s ambassador to Ankara, while Turkey has   appointed Salih Mutlu Sen as its ambassador to Cairo.

6 Budhneel Kanth Dharamshala built with Indian grant was inaugurated by the Vice President of Nepal in Kathmandu Valley

Nepal’s Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav  inaugurated  the  Budhnil Kanth Dharamshala  in  Kathmandu Valley built with a grant of  five crore rupees   given by  India . Speaking on the occasion, the Vice President appreciated India’s cooperation in the post-earthquake reconstruction work. India has taken up the responsibility of conserving 28 cultural heritage sites located in seven districts of Nepal.

The Meteorological Department  has said that the country   received 10 percent less rainfall than the long period average of 1971 to 2020 last month. The month of June received 148.6 mm while the long period average was 165.3 mm. The Meteorological Department has reported that  the month of June  in  southern peninsular India  was the hottest since 1901 . During this period  the maximum average temperature  was 34.05 degree  Celsius . Rainfall in this region  is also the lowest since 1901. happened. The Meteorological Department has said in its monthly climate review that the maximum temperature was recorded four to four degrees Celsius above normal in many areas. These include eastern and northeastern India, southern peninsular India, and parts of northwestern and central India. The situation was worst in the eastern parts of the country where June temperatures were much above normal.

9 Power Minister R.K. Singh inaugurates 1st International Conference on Green Hydrogen in New Delhi

Power Minister  R.K. Singh  inaugurated   the first International Conference  on Green Hydrogen  in  New Delhi  . Shri Singh said that the country  had set a target of reducing carbon emissions by 30 per cent of GDP by 2030,  which was  achieved nine years ago. has been done. He said that the government is running various programs including energy scheme related to LED bulbs, which are major in reducing carbon emissions in the world. Shri Singh also said that India has achieved the COP-21 target of Nationally Determined Contributions nine years ahead of schedule. Emphasizing India’s achievements in the field of renewable energy, the Minister appealed to the global industry to be a part of India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission. The three-day conference aims to deliberate and establish necessary mechanisms for setting up green hydrogen systems. It will consider developing a systematic approach to achieve carbon emission targets through green hydrogen.

10 7th India-Japan Maritime Exercise JIMEX-23 begins at Visakhapatnam

The seventh India-Japan maritime exercise 2023  JIMEX 23   , hosted by  the Indian Navy,  began at  Visakhapatnam .  This is the 11th anniversary  of the exercise which started  in 2012 . Units of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force and ships of the Indian Navy are participating in the exercise. JIMEX 23 includes India’s first indigenous maritime warfare corvette INS Delhi and anti-submarine corvette INS Kamorta. The Japan Maritime Self Defense Force will be represented by the guided missile destroyer JS Semidare. This exercise will last for 6 days.

State Bank of India (SBI)  has   announced the appointment of Kameswara Rao Kodavanti as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He is associated with SBI since 1991. PM Prasad  ,  presently   serving as the Chairman-cum-Managing Director of  Central Coalfields Limited (CCL),  has been appointed as the Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Coal India Limited (CIL) , a Schedule ‘A’ Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE). Prior to his new role, Prasad successfully led CCL, a subsidiary of Coal India based in Jharkhand, to achieve its production targets in the financial year 2022-23.

14 India’s first indigenously developed nuclear power reactor KAPP-3 begins commercial operation

India’s first indigenously developed 700 MW nuclear power reactor  started commercial operation  at  the Kakrapar Atomic Power Project (KAPP)  in  Gujarat . Presently, the unit is operating at 90 per cent of its total power. Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) is building two 700 MW Pressurized Heavy Water Reactors (PHWR) at Kakrapar. NPCIL has planned to build sixteen 700 MW PHWRs across the country and has accorded financial and administrative approval for the same. 700 MW nuclear power plants are under construction at Rawatbhata (RAPS 7 & 8) in Rajasthan and Gorakhpur (GHAVP 1 & 2) in Haryana.

15 To prevent cattle from crossing the road, cattle fence will be installed on the highway

Union Road Transport and Highways Minister  Nitin Gadkari  has informed that the Government of India   is planning to install Bahu Bali Cattle Fence  to prevent  stray cattle from crossing the road on the highways . This will also help in preventing dangerous accidents caused by cattle and loss of human life. In a tweet, Shri Gadkari said that this barricade  will be one meter 20 cm high  and will   be installed on section 23 of National Highway-30 . He told that this work   will be done before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Chhattisgarh . Shri Gadkari said that the cattle fence made of bamboo would provide a completely cost effective and eco-friendly solution. Shri Gadkari said that The bamboo will be coated with wire oil and HDPE,  which will make it as strong as steel. The fire retardant rating of this fence will be of first class. It will be based on the principle of self-reliant India, which aims to make all highways permanent and cause minimum harm to wildlife and cattle.

16 REC (Rural Electrification Corporation India Limited) released Rs 4,785 crore for the project of HPCL Rajasthan Refinery in Barmer

REC Limited  has   given a loan of Rs.4,785 crore  to  HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited (HRRL)  for setting up  Green Field Refinery- Petrochemical Complex  in  Barmer district  of  Rajasthan . The loan   has been extended under a consortium arrangement of Rs 48,625 crore , in which REC Ltd has a stake of Rs 4,785 crore. The refinery-complex will have a capacity of  9 million metric tonnes per annum  and the total  project cost  will be Rs 72,937 crore. HRRL   is a joint venture company of  Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited  and  Government of Rajasthan , incorporated on 18 September 2013. was included. HPCL holds  74% equity stake in HRL  while the remaining  26%  is held by the Government of Rajasthan. Apart from setting up an energy efficient and eco-friendly refinery and petrochemical complex with a capacity of nine MMTPA, the project involves setting up a pipeline to transport both Rajasthan crude and imported crude, a pipeline to carry water to the refinery site To meet the power and steam requirement of the refinery, a captive power plant, crude oil and product storage facilities and township and allied facilities will also be set up.

18 Mo Jangal Jami scheme launched by Odisha government

Odisha government  has   launched  Mo Jungle Jami scheme which aims to promote forest rights among tribals and forest dwellers in the districts of the state  . If this scheme is implemented, Odisha will be  the first state in India to recognize community forest rights in addition to the individual rights proposed by the central government. Will become. A recent study in  Delhi   has highlighted the associated health effects of people working outdoors due to daily exposure to polluted air. The research focused on various occupational groups, including rag pickers, safai karamcharis (municipal cleaners) and security guards. The findings raised concerns about abnormal pulmonary function  and  severe lung diseases among these workers.  highlights the prevalence of asthma, underscoring the need for interventions to protect their respiratory health. The study revealed that a significant percentage of outdoor workers in Delhi experienced abnormal pulmonary function. 75% of the rag pickers were found to have abnormal lung function. Similarly, 86% of sweepers and 86% of security guards displayed abnormal pulmonary function.
