1.Finance Minister Arun Jaitley presented the Economic Survey in Parliament, Estimated Growth Rate for Gross Domestic Product in 6.75% in the current financial year and 7.0-8.5 in 2018-19 :-

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley presented an economic survey in Parliament. Economic survey of the year 2017-18 predicts that the growth rate of the country’s GDP in 2018-19-GDP will be seven to 7.5 percent. It has been said that due to the many major improvements made in the previous year, the actual GDP growth rate will reach 6.7 per cent to 5 per cent in this financial year and this will increase to seven to 7.5 per cent in 2018-19. It also states that in the medium term, special education will be given on employment education and agriculture.

 

2.Prime Minister Narendra Modi calls on the cadets of National Cadet Corps to fight against corruption and black money :-

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called the cadets of National Cadet Corps – NCC to fight against corruption and black money. While addressing NCC cadets at the Cariappa Parade Ground in Delhi Cantt on Sunday, Shri Modi said that the fight against corruption will continue. While appreciating the efforts of NCC over the past few years, the Prime Minister said that this organization is a symbol of unity and discipline in the true sense. He told the youth that they should make this battle fast and become the medium of bright future.

Shri Modi appealed to the cadets to use digital means of transactions like Bhim-Aap and motivate others for it. He said that transparency and accountability will be ensured.

 

3.National mourning was announced on Sunday in Afghanistan, the number of those killed in the incidents of self-declared bombs was 103 :-

In Afghanistan, national mourning was declared on Sunday. Ambulance suicide bombing in Kabul has killed 103 people and injured two hundred and thirty five. The Taliban took responsibility for the blast.

There is a lot of caution in Kabul. In recent years this attack is considered to be the worst.

 

4.Japan demanded to increase cooperation with China about the reduction in North Korea’s nuclear program :-

Japan has demanded from China to increase cooperation on North Korea’s nuclear program cuts.

This demand came during a meeting with Japan Foreign Minister Tao Kono during a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

Kono appreciated the progress of improving relations between the two countries, but also demanded China to take some more measures to cut North Korea’s nuclear weapons program.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang told Kono that the relationship between the two countries is in a critical phase and there has been a progressive progress, but many disruptions and constraints have remained. He expressed hope that both countries will work together to normalize relations and they will develop closer relations with them soon.

 

5.PM to visit Palestine, United Arab Emirates and Oman next month :-

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Palestine , United Arab Emirates and Oman from February 9 to 12 Our correspondent has said that this is the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister to the Palestine.

Although this is the second trip to the Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates. Narendra Modi will be the first Prime Minister of India to visit Palestine. In 1988, the name of India was one of the leading countries in countries recognized by the Palestine state. The Prime Minister will also visit Uman for the first time during his four-day foreign visit. During this visit, Modi will discuss the issues of bilateral interests with leaders from all three countries. The Prime Minister will also address the Sixth World Government Summit held in Dubai. Prime Minister from Uman and United Arab Emirates will also meet the Indian community.

 

6.Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s political parties appeal to support three passage bills :-

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to political parties to support the three divorce bill passed. He said that this bill will have empowerment of Muslim women, so there should be no politics about this.

Prior to the proceedings of Parliament, Mr. Modi reached the Lok Sabha and met opposition members. Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the leaders of opposition parties in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.

In the Rajya Sabha, the Prime Minister called the leader of the Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad, former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Yadav, Samajwadi Party leader Ramgopal Yadav and CPI Marxist TK Rangarajan along with other members.

 

7.Voting begins for the bypoll by two seats in Rajasthan and West Bengal for three more state assemblies :-

Rajasthan and West Bengal are being held between two Lok Sabha seats in the Lok Sabha and two for the two State Legislative Assemblies.

Voters are being cast for Ajmer and Alwar Lok Sabha seats and Mandalgarh assembly seat in Rajasthan. Our correspondent has said that electronic voting machines with photos of candidates for the first time are being used in this election. Counting of votes will take place on Thursday.

 

8.The Chief Executive Officer of the Unique Identification Authority of India said that the base is an identity :-

The Indian Unique Identification Authority has said that the base is an identity, it is not a tool to prepare the profile. In a direct conversation on Twitter, Chief Executive Officer of the Authority Ajay Bhushan Pandey said that the base is based on the minimum information and biometric information, there is little scope for interference. He dismissed these concerns that the addition of various information from the authority would increase government surveillance or misuse it.

 

9.Demonstrating demand for early elections in Bangkok :-

Several protesters gathered in central Bangkok in protest of possible delays in the establishment of democracy in Thailand.

After a coup in Thailand in 2014, the military-backed government is ruled by a short-term government. Prime Minister Puitton Chan-o-Cha had said that while preparing the path of democracy, there will be general elections in November this year.

But Army-controlled National Assembly approved a plan on Thursday under which proposals to delay the implementation of the new election law. This has increased the possibility that elections will be deferred.

In a rally on Saturday, students repeatedly addressed the crowd gathered there. They demanded that the elections should be held at the appointed time. After this the participants made slogans like “no military rule”.

 

10.United States provided Black Hawk choppers to strengthen Jordan’s borders defense :-

The United States has distributed the last shipment of black Hawk helicopters to Jordan so that it can deploy forces rapidly to strengthen the defense of its borders and take cross-border action against ISC’s terrorist groups. US Defense Officers told that providing military assistance to Jordan would help increase its military capability as part of regional strategy, which is one of the largest military financial aid countries. The consignment of helicopters reached Jordan on the occasion of a plenary ceremony in which the Chief of the American Central Command General Joseph Votel and the Chief of Staff of Jordan participated. After the defeat of IS, there is a promise of a long stay in the United States of Syria and its military bases in the war-torn country in the north-eastern part.
