1.President Ramnath Kovind paid tribute to the martyrs of the force on the 54th Day of the CRPF:-

The Central Reserve Police Force- CRPF is celebrating its 54th Shaurya Divas. On this occasion President Ramnath Kovind paid tribute to the martyrs of the force on the National Police Memorial in New Delhi.The President said that I salute the memory of the honored heroes from the posthumously gallantry medal today. To safeguard the countrymen, the ever-conscious and active police force has presented many extraordinary ideals of dedication to the nation. In the memory of his supreme sacrifice, the CRPF celebrates Shaurya Divas on this day.The President said that the role of the CRPF in combating terrorism and separatism in Jammu and Kashmir is commendable. In 1965 , a small troop of CRPF had bravely fiercely attacked the Pakistani brigade in fighting the Sardar post in the Rann of Kutch in Gujarat. Central Reserve Police Force celebrates 9th April as Shaurya Divas to offer tribute to their brave soldiers .

2.IIT-Madras tops HRD’s national ranking of institutes:-

President Ram Nath Kovind released the national ranking of higher institutes by the Ministry of Human Resources Development in New Delhi.Indian Institute of Technology Madras topped the rankings while the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore bagged the second rank followed by IIT Delhi.Delhi University’s Miranda House was ranked the best among colleges across the country.AIIMS has been ranked first among medical sciences institutes and National Law School, Bangalore has topped law colleges.

3.International Convention on World Homoeopathy Day:-

A two day convention is being organised on 9-10th April 2019 by the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH) on the occasion of the World Homoeopathy Day.It is an autonomous research organization under Ministry of AYUSH.The World Homoeopathy Day is observed to commemorate the birth anniversary of the founder of Homoeopathy, Dr. Christian Fredrich Samuel Hahnemann.

4.Congratulations MiG-21 Bisson target Pak’s F-16 – Indian Air Force:-

Indian Air Force has said again today that the Pakistani air force used the F-16 fighter aircraft on February 27 and it has strong evidence about it. Giving this information to the Saddhatias in New Delhi, Air Force Vice-Chief RG Kapoor said that it is also true that the MiG-21 aircraft of Indian Air Force would have killed F-16 aircraft. He said that two planes of two planes fell in doubt, one of which was the MiG-21 of India and the F-16 aircraft of the second Pakistani Air Force. Chief of the Air Force RG Kapur said that the Pakistani plane has been identified with its electronic signature and radio transcripts. 
The Indian Air Force has strong evidence that an F-16 fighter aircraft of Pakistan was killed. However, due to security and privacy, it has not been made public.

5.USA and Iran declare each other’s organizations as pro-terrorists:-

The United States declared Iran’s Revolutionary Guard as a foreign terrorist organization. For the first time, the United States has declared any part of any other government as a terrorist organization. On the contrary, Iran responded by declaring all the forces of the Central Command of the US as terrorists and declared terrorists.

6.Men’s hockey team gets Graham Reid as coach:-

Australian Graham Reid’s appointment as the men’s national team chief coach till the end of 2020 was ratified after Hockey India received necessary clearance from the Sports Authority of India (SAI).Reid’s tenure will be till the end of next year. As per industry standards, every international coach’s contract is supposed to be for an Olympic cycle.But his contract will have a provision of extension till 2022.Everything will depend on India’s performances leading upto the Tokyo Olympics.
