1.Indian-origin woman appointed interim judge in civil court, civil court :-
In the United States of America, Civil Court of New York City originally appointed Indian Ambassador to the post of Interim Judge Deepa Ambekar. Deepa Ambekar was born in Chennai. Prior to this, Raja Rajeshwari has been appointed in this position in the US. After this, Deepa became the second woman judge in New York. About the appointment of Deepa Ambekar, the statement from New York City’s Mayor Bill de Blasio’s office said in the statement. Deepa’s age is now 41 years old. Deepa will serve as an interim judge in the criminal court. In addition, the mayor has also announced the re-appointment of three judges. It is worth noting that before this, Rajeshwar had taken oath as a judge in the criminal court in 2015.
2.12th meeting of SAARC finance ministers in Manila :-
The 12th meeting of the Finance Ministers of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) countries was concluded on Friday in Manila, capital of Philippines. This informal meeting took place on the occasion of 51st Annual Meeting of Asian Development Bank. The heads of finance ministers / delegations from SAARC countries participated in the meeting. Nepal’s Finance Minister Ubraj Khativada presided over the meeting. Mr. Khativada stressed the need for joint efforts to achieve the desired target of South Asian Economic Union by SAARC. The Finance Ministers / Heads of delegation informed about the economic progress of their respective nationalities in the meeting. He also appreciated the contribution of Asian Development Bank to the development of SAARC countries. Asian Development Bank’s Vice President Venkai Zhang reiterated the bank’s commitment that it will continue to contribute to the prosperity of these people in the economic development of SAARC countries.
3.There was general agreement on some issues in the China-US Economic and Business Consultation :-
China’s Deputy Prime Minister Lew H has open, efficient and constructive discussions on the China-US economic and trade issues, from May 3 to 4, with the special Representative of the American President and American Finance Minister Steven Turner Emancien, a common thinker with the US delegation. Both sides agreed that the development of healthy and stable China-US economic and trade relations is very important for both countries. They are trying to resolve issues related to dialogue and consultation. Both sides extended China’s exports to China, bilateral trade, bilateral investment, Discuss matters such as the protection of intellectual property and the resolution of tariff and non-tariff issues. They also created common opinion in some areas. The two sides agreed on the fact that there are big differences on some issues in China and the United States. 4.PM to visit Nepal to improve ties, May 11 :-
The Foreign Ministry said on Friday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will make a two-day visit to Nepal from May 11 . This will be his third visit to this neighboring country after assuming the reins of the country in 2014 . The Ministry said in a statement that this is the first visit of a high-level leader from India after the formation of a new government by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli . More than a month of Oli’s visit to India after Modi is going to Nepal . Oli had invited Modi to come to Nepal . Oli’s visit was seen as an attempt to repair Nepal’s relations with India . After the meeting with Oli last month, Modi had said that India will always stand with him for all-round growth of Nepal.. At the same time, ministry spokesman Ravi Kumar had said that India and Nepal are working on several aspects of Modi’s visit . Apart from negotiating with Modi Oli during his visit, Nepalese will meet the President and interact with senior leaders of various political parties .

6.Dakota aircraft was re-included in the IAF :-
Renewed Transport Aircraft Dakota has been included in the Indian Air Force . Four decades ago, Dakota aircraft were removed from the fleet of the IAF after long service. This aircraft was brought to India from Britain in February this year. From 1947 to 1971, Dakota planes played a leading role in the IAF operations.

The Ministry of Human Resource Development has introduced a major unique initiative of online professional development of 15 lakh teachers of higher education sector. For this, the big open online course platform itself will be used. In the first phase, National Resource Centers related to 75 subjects have been identified. The National Resource Centers have been asked to prepare online training material based on innovative and emerging trends, educational reforms and modalities for implementing revised curriculum. Keeping the subject and seniority under the program, all the teachers serving will be provided with the latest development in their subjects through online courses. In this highly flexible program, teachers will be able to get training wherever and wherever they may be. The program will include various topics including social science, engineering and technology and design.
8.The object and service tax council announced the new simple tax-returns system. Taxpayers will have to file only one return every month :-
The object and service tax council has approved the change in the ownership of the GST network structure. It will now be converted into a government company. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley told reporters after the 27th meeting of the GST Council in New Delhi that 51 per cent private sector share will be acquired by the government. He said that both the central and the state government will have equal share of 50 percent in it. Shri Jaitley said that the council has asked the states to constitute a group of five ministers within the next two weeks, which will give their suggestions and proposals to solve this problem.
