1 ITI Limited launches its branded laptop and micro PC ‘SMAASH’

ITI Limited , a leading telecom company and multi-unit Central Public Sector Undertaking in India,  has made significant strides in the technology market by launching its own branded  laptops and micro PCs , branded as ‘ SMAASH ‘. These products have taken the market by storm, competing successfully against well-established MNC brands like Acer, HP, Dell, and Lenovo. The company has developed laptops and micro personal computers (PC) in collaboration with Intel Corporation.

 

2 Prime Minister lays the foundation stone of Petrochemical Complex at BPCL Bina Refinery in Madhya Pradesh

Prime Minister  Shri Narendra Modi  laid   the foundation stone for the Downstream Petrochemical Complex and Refinery Expansion Project  at  BPCL  ‘s  Bina Refinery  in  Bina , Madhya Pradesh  . This state-of-the-art refinery   will be developed at a cost of  approximately Rs 49,000 crore and will produce approximately 1200 KTPA (kilo-tonnes per annum) of ethylene and propylene. Which are an important component for various sectors like textile, packaging, pharma etc. This will reduce the country’s import dependence and will be a step towards fulfilling the Prime Minister’s vision of ‘Self-reliant India’. This mega project will also create employment opportunities and encourage the development of downstream industries in the petroleum sector. The Prime Minister also virtually laid the foundation stone of ten new industrial projects of Madhya Pradesh. There will be an investment of more than one lakh crore rupees in these projects and two lakh 37 thousand new employment opportunities will be created. Shri Modi laid the foundation stone of Power and Renewable Energy Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Area in Narmada Puram district at a cost of Rs 3,000 crore and also laid the foundation stone of two new Information Technology Parks in Indore and Mega Industrial Park in Ratlam near Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. 3 Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated railway projects worth more than six thousand and four hundred crore rupees in Chhattisgarh

Prime Minister  Narendra Modi  has said that with modern development, the Indian model of poor welfare is being appreciated all over the world.  Addressing a program organized at Kondatrai  near  Raigarh  in  Chhattisgarh , the Prime Minister said that the country has to be developed in the next twenty-five years of Amrit Kaal. This work can be completed only when every countryman participates in it. On this occasion, the Prime Minister   dedicated to the nation railway projects  worth more than  six thousand four hundred crore rupees . These rail projects will accelerate socio-economic development in the region by facilitating the movement of passengers as well as freight. During the program, the Prime Minister  visited   nine districts of Chhattisgarh. Laid the foundation stone of fifty bedded Critical Care Blocks . Along with this, the Prime Minister   also distributed one lakh sickle cell counseling cards . These counseling cards have been distributed   under the National Mission to Eradicate Sickle Cell Anemia .

4 Major e-Court project completed with inclusion of Supreme Court of India on National Judicial Data Grid portal

 The major project of e-Courts project  has been completed with the inclusion  of  the Supreme Court of India  on the National Judicial Data Grid (NJDG) portal  . Now all three tiers of the Indian Judiciary  are available to us on the NJDG portal  . NJDG gets ‘ Ease of Doing Business ‘ from Government of India‘ has been recognized as a significant innovation under the initiative. The NJDG portal is a national repository of data related to ongoing, pending and disposed cases in courts across the country. Now with a single click, anyone can get information related to the case. Through this, data like pending cases and disposal of cases, case types, year-wise details of the Supreme Court of India can be obtained. NJDG has been developed by the National Informatics Center (NIC) in collaboration with the in-house software development team of the Computer Cell, Registry with an interactive interface and analytics dashboard. The entire database will be updated from time to time on the NJDG portal.

5 Union Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Dr. Jitendra Singh launches the portal of the third phase of the Special Cleanliness Campaign in New Delhi

Union Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions,  Dr Jitendra Singh  launched   the portal for the third phase of the Special Swachhta Abhiyan  at a function in  New Delhi . This special campaign will be monitored through the portal –  scdpm.nic.in. The government has announced to run a special campaign from October 2 to 31 this year to focus on cleanliness and reduce the pendency of cases in government offices. The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances has been made the nodal department for this campaign.

6 Defense Ministry leads among 56 ministries and departments participating in Government e-Marketplace

The Ministry of Defense  has been the leader  among  the 56 ministries  and departments  participating in  the Government e-Marketplace . Defense Ministry tops both the order value and order quantity. Since the inception of the GeM portal, the contribution of the Ministry of Defense has exceeded Rs 73,225 crore till 12th September. The Defense Ministry has said that in the current financial year, procurement through GeM portal has already exceeded Rs. eighteen thousand seven hundred and ninety crore.  GeM portal was launched in August 2016 to revamp the age-old tender process and bring greater honesty and transparency in government procurement through digitization. 

7 Cooperation between India and WOAH for pandemic preparedness

Recently  the  Department  of Animal Husbandry and Dairying  in partnership with  the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) organized  a multi-sectorial workshop in Hyderabad on “ Risk-Based Management of Spillover Events in Wildlife in India” organized. The workshop aimed to increase stakeholders’ knowledge about wildlife-origin disease risk analysis. The discussions emphasized the importance of a “One Health” approach, inter-sector collaboration, and pandemic preparedness. “One Health” Health” approach is important for a sustainable future given the interconnectedness between the health of wildlife, domestic animals and humans. WOAH is an intergovernmental organization established in 1924 to improve the health of the world’s animals. WOAH The purpose of WOAH is to control and prevent the spread of epizootic diseases. WOAH has 182 member states, including all EU member states. WOAH is headquartered in Paris, France, and regional commissions have been created in each region of the world.

8 Over ₹10 crore released to assist victims of sexual crimes under Ashvanidhi Project

The Ashvasanidhi Project, launched by the Department of Women and Child Development,   has provided interim financial relief totaling ₹10.17 crore to  approximately  1,400 victims of sexual crimes and serious gender-based violence  since   its launch in 2018 . The project covers ten different categories of victims, providing relief ranging from ₹25,000 to ₹2 lakh, depending on the severity of the crime. Victims of various crimes including rape, gang rape, unnatural sexual offences, acid attacks, loss of life, pregnancy due to rape, loss of body parts, miscarriage as a result of sexual assault and burn injuries are eligible for assistance. Acid attack victims receive the most assistance, while victims of domestic violence and trafficking receive the least assistance.

9 Nandini Krishak Samriddhi Yojana

Chief Minister  Yogi Adityanath  -led  Uttar Pradesh government  will provide Nandini Krishak Samriddhi Yojana  under  Nand Baba Mission to promote cattle breeding and milk production   in the state  , with a maximum subsidy of Rs 31.25 lakh per beneficiary. This scheme will initially be implemented in ten divisional headquarters of the state. Beneficiaries must have at least 3 years of livestock rearing experience and must meet specific land requirements for eligibility.  has launchedThe scheme aims to improve cow breeds, especially Sahiwal, Gir, Tharparkar and Gangatiri, to increase milk production and income of dairy farmers. Government  50% subsidy at an estimated cost of Rs 62.5 lakh for setting up a unit of 25 milch cows.

10 Vice President addressed the International Conference on Dam Safety held in Jaipur

 The Department of  Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation of the Ministry of Jal Shakti  is organizing the International Conference on Dam Safety  in  Jaipur  from September 14 to 15, 2023  . The conference was inaugurated by Vice President of India  Jagdeep Dhankhar  with the speech “ Safe & Secure Dams Ensure Nation’s Prosperity” done under the topic. This global conference will bring together experts and leaders in dam safety from India and across the world. The event focuses on enhancing dam safety, discussing cutting-edge topics and highlighting the Dam Rehabilitation and Improvement Project Phase II and III. Technical sessions, exhibitions and cultural programs have been planned emphasizing the importance of water conservation and management. The Vice President also unveiled a National Register of Large Dams, which is a compilation of large dams in the country prepared in consultation with the concerned State Government/Authority. India has more than 6,000 dams, ranking third globally among large dams. It is important to ensure their safety due to their versatile roles in water supply, irrigation, hydropower, flood protection and others.

11 NPCI launches new payments options on UPI

National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI)  has introduced  an unprecedented contactless payment  wearable ring called ‘ OTG Ring’.Known as ‘. This innovative device has been developed in collaboration with Indian fintech startup Livquick. ‘OTG Ring’ is designed for National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) customers, opening up a world of possibilities for convenient and secure transactions. Expanding its reach in the electric vehicle (EV) domain, NPCI has entered into a strategic partnership with Indian Highway Management Company Limited (IHMCL). The partnership aims to launch EV charging payments on the National Electronic Toll Collection (NETC) Fastag platform. The move is in line with NPCI’s commitment to provide seamless and efficient payment experience not only in digital transactions but also in the emerging EV sector.

ITIA (International Tennis Integrity Agency) has  taken   decisive action against  two-time  Grand Slam champion  Simona Halep and  banned  her from professional tennis  for four years for violating the sport’s anti-doping program. Halep  tested positive for roxastat at the US Open last year  , leading to her temporary suspension.

13 Subroto Cup 2023 from 19th September

Subroto Cup  2023  will be held from September 19 to October 23. This   is the 62nd edition . This year, 109 teams from 27 states and union territories will participate in the tournament. Teams from Nepal and Bangladesh  will also participate. The Subroto Cup   is the oldest national inter-school football competition in India . It  is held annually in New Delhi  since 1960 . The tournament  is named after  Air Marshal Subroto Mukherjee of the Indian Air Force . This year, the tournament   will be held across  three locations : Delhi, Gurugram and Bengaluru . This  is the first time that Bengaluru is one of the host cities. Is. 14 Asia Cup 2023: Rohit Sharma completes 10,000 ODI runs

Indian captain  Rohit Sharma  completed   10,000 ODI runs  during  the Asia Cup 2023 Super Four match against Sri Lanka  in  Colombo . Rohit Sharma achieved the feat after scoring 23 runs with the help of six sixes during his 241st innings in this format. The 36-year-old Sharma became  the sixth Indian batsman  to cross the milestone  and the second fastest batsman behind Virat Kohli in terms of innings played  . He is also the third Indian opening batsman to reach this milestone after  Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly  .

15 ISSF Rifle and Pistol Shooting World Cup begins in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

16 Operation Polo: September 13, 1948

 On  September 13, 1948 , the military action  launched by India  to unify  the princely state of Hyderabad , known as ” Operation Polo “, was a significant event in Indian history. The Nizam of Hyderabad,  Mir Osman Ali Shah,  was hesitant to join either India or Pakistan after independence, taking advantage of the Indian government’s preoccupation with the Kashmir conflict. A standstill agreement  signed in  November 1947 maintained the status quo between Hyderabad and India for a year, allowing the Nizam to continue ruling independently. However, rising tensions, cross-border raids and its intentions to establish an independent state prompted India to take action. A well-planned military offensive from multiple directions during this operation ultimately resulted in the surrender of the Hyderabad State forces.  This important campaign, conducted under the supervision of  Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel  , ended with the declaration of an armistice on 17 September 1948 , effectively bringing Hyderabad under Indian control by 18 September 1948.
