1.India’s tricolor will wander on the moon, Chandran-2 will be launched in July this year:-

Chandrayaan II, India’s second mission on the moon, is likely to be launched in July. Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) issued a statement on Wednesday after issuing a statement

According to the statement, all modules of Chandrayaan-II are being prepared to launch from July 9, 2019 to July 16, 2019. Chandrayaan-2 is expected to land on the moon’s surface on September 7. Chandrayaan-2 has three modules – Orbiter, Lander (Vikram) and Rover (Pragyan).

Let us know that in the year 2008, India had left Chandrayaan-1 in its first mission on the moon. But then India had made a crash landing on the moon, which is also called Hard Landing.

ISRO says that due to crash landing MIP was broken into several pieces. So far America, Russia and China have been able to do soft landing on the moon.

 2.Journalist Saba Naqvi authored “Politics of Jugaad: The Coalition Handbook” released:-

Journalist Saba Naqvi has composed a book named “Politics of Jugaad: The Coalition Handbook” in which she examines the possibility of a coalition government after the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.The author, Saba Naqvi is a well-known journalist and political analyst in India. She has authored other books, namely, ‘In Good Faith’ (2012), ‘Capital Conquest’ (2015), and ‘Shades of Saffron’ (2018).

Senior BJP leader and Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that the NDA government through its various welfare schemes like Ayushman Bharat and free LPG gas connections, is trying its best to provide a life of respect to poor people of the country. He was addressing an election rally at Itarsi in Hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh.Mr Modi said the government will provide pension to farmers over 60 years of age. He said Congress government in Madhya Pradesh had promised farm loan waivers in 10 days but no body is ready to tell whether they kept their promise. Mr  Modi said the NDA government is working in a mission mode while Congress’ culture is to stall development schemes.

4.NCMC reviews preparedness as Cyclone ‘Fani’ set to make landfall:-

Cabinet Secretary P. K. Sinha has directed that all necessary measures be taken to complete evacuation of people from areas in the path of cyclone Fani and maintain adequate quantities of essential supplies such as food, drinking water and medicines etc. Reviewing the preparedness of the State and Central Agencies concerned again today to deal with the situation arising out of the Extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm FANI, at the meeting of National Crisis Management Committee, NCMC, the Cabinet Secretary advised all concerned to make adequate preparations to ensure maintenance of essential services such as Power, Telecommunications in the event of damages caused to them.
Officers of concerned State Governments apprised the NCMC of preparatory measures put in place for dealing with cyclonic Storm. Odisha informed that around 900 cyclone shelters have been made ready to house the evacuees and requested for two helicopters to be stationed in the state for emergency food distribution. Cabinet Secretary directed the Ministry of Defence to meet the requirements of Odisha government.
Railways, Civil Aviation and Shipping Ministries were advised to review their preparedness well in time and ensure quick resumption of their services in the event of any disruption.
States have issued advisories and are ensuring that fishermen do not venture into the sea.  IMD has been issuing three hourly bulletins with latest forecast to all the concerned States. Home Ministry is also in continuous touch with the State Governments and the Central Agencies concerned.
The India Meteorological Department, IMD informed that FANI is expected to touch Odisha coast south of Puri on the afternoon of Friday with wind speeds ranging up to 180 kilometres per hour causing heavy rainfall in the coastal districts of the State. The storm is likely to impact coastal districts of Odisha including Ganjam, Gajapati, Khurda, Puri and Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Bhadrak, Jajpur and Balasore. In West Bengal, districts of East and West Medinipur, South and North 24 Parganas, Howrah, Hoogly, Jhargram and Kolkata along with Srikakulam, Vijayanagram and Visakhapatnam districts of Andhra Pradesh are likely to be affected.IMD also warned of storm surge of about 1.5 meter height which may inundate low lying coastal areas of Ganjam, Khurda, Puri and Jagatsinghpur districts of Odisha at the time of landfall.
Indian Coast Guard and the Navy have deployed ships and helicopters for relief and rescue operations. Army and Air Force units in the three States have also been put on standby. NDRF has deployed 12 teams in Andhra Pradesh, 28 teams in Odisha and 6 teams in West Bengal. Additionally 32 teams have been kept on standby. The teams are equipped with boats, tree cutters, telecom equipment etc.Chief Secretaries and Principal Secretaries of Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and West Bengal participated in the NCMC Meeting through Video Conference. Senior Officers from the Ministries of Home Affairs, Shipping, Civil Avaiation, Railways, Fisheries, Power, Telecommunications, Defence, Drinking Water and Sanitation, Food Processing, Health, IMD, NDMA and NDRF also attended the meeting. NCMC will meet again tomorrow to take stock of the emerging situation.

This lab gives the auto industry the facilities for safety tests for vehicles, and pedestrian safety tests such as sled and airbag testing for vehicles .According to Indian and international regulations, all the capable technologies for testing are available to assess the losses incurred due to the collision of vehicles near PSL.ICAT Director, Dinesh Tyagi said that the team associated with the research and development work of ICAT has a highly educated, capable, innovative and self-motivated engineer. At the same time, state-of-the-art world-class testing facilities are also available. He said that the Central Government has started taking the work of sponsored research and development projects related to state-of-the-art technology such as artificial intelligence and robotics.Mr. Dinesh Tyagi said that the objective of ICAT is to establish itself as a leading research and development center in Asia while developing state-of-the-art technology with the auto industry. ICAT is also helping the auto industry in implementing ISO / IEC 17025: 2005 and achieving NABL certification for labs.

6.UN designates Masood Azhar as global terrorist:-

In a huge diplomatic win for India, the United Nations today designated Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar as a “global terrorist” after China lifted its hold on a proposal to blacklist him. In a tweet, India’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to UN, Syed Akbaruddin said, big and small nations all join together for this and India is grateful to all for their support.  A “global terrorist”  designation will subject Azhar to an assets freeze, travel ban and an arms embargo. In 2009, India moved a proposal by itself to designate Azhar. In 2016 again India moved the proposal with the P3 – the United States, the United Kingdom and France in the UN’s 1267 Sanctions Committee to ban Azhar, also the mastermind of the attack on the air base in Pathankot in January, 2016. In 2017, the P3 nations moved a similar proposal again. However, on all occasions China, a veto-wielding permanent member of the Security Council, blocked India’s proposal from being adopted by the Sanctions Committee.

7.Apurvi Chandela attains world number one spot in women’s 10 m air rifle event:-

Indian shooting ace Apurvi Chandela today attained the world number one position in the women’s 10 metres air rifle event while compatriot Anjum Moudgil rose to number two after consistent performances in recent years. The rifle ace from Jaipur is among the five Indian shooters to have already secured 2020 Olympics quotas for the country. Meanwhile, Moudgil attained the world number two rank in 10 metres Air Rifle after her mixed team gold at the ISSF World Cup in Beijing. Manu Bhaker is the world number 10 in 25 metres pistol women category.Among men, Divyansh Singh Panwar’s World Cup exploits in Beijing helped him reach world number four spot in 10 metres air rifle category. Divyansh won two gold medals at Beijing — 10 metres air rifle and 10 metres air rifle mixed team – and also secured his quota at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.Abhishek Verma, who also won a gold in Beijing, has reached world number three in 10 metres Air Pistol category. India’s teen sensation Saurabh Chaudhary was not far away at world number 6.Anish Bhanwala, another of India’s talented young shooter, secured the 10th spot in 25 metres Rapid Fire Pistol category.

8.Sreejesh nominated for Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award by Hockey India:-

Ace India goalkeeper P.R. Sreejesh has been nominated for the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award by Hockey India while the names of three other players have been proposed for the Arjuna Award.Midfielder Chinglensana Singh Kangujam and forward Akashdeep Singh and women’s team defender Deepika have been nominated for the Arjuna Award.
Hockey India has also nominated R.P. Singh and Sandeep Kaur for Dhyan Chand Award for Lifetime Achievement, while coaches Baljeet Singh, B.S. Chauhan and Romesh Pathania have been proposed for Dronacharya Award.
