1.Pramod Sawant sworn in as Chief Minister of Goa for the second time in a row

3.Union Minister Shri Anurag Thakur launches ‘Tejas’ skill training project at Dubai Expo

Union Minister Shri Anurag Thakur on the second day of his Dubai visit launched a Skill India International Project ‘ Tejas (Training for Jobs and Skills in the Emirates)’ to train Indians living abroad . The objective of this project is to skill Indians, provide certificates and provide employment abroad. Tejas aims to pave the way for the Indian workforce to be skilled as well as enable them to suit the market requirements of the UAE. Tejas aims to create a 10,000-strong Indian workforce in the UAE during the initial phase.

4.DRDO successfully test-fired the Indian Army version of the surface-to-air medium-range missile off the Odisha coast

The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) on March 27, 2022 conducted two successful flight tests of the Indian Army version of the Medium Range Surface-to-Air Missile (MRSAM) at the Integrated Test Range at Chandipur , off the coast of Odisha . The flight tests were conducted as part of live firing trials against high-speed aerial targets. The missiles intercepted the air targets and completely destroyed them, registering direct hits on both the ranges. The first launch was to intercept a medium altitude long range target and the second was to prove the capability of a low altitude short range target. This MRSAM variant is for use by the Indian Army in DRDO andIt is a surface-to-air missile jointly developed by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) , Israel . MRSAM Army Weapon System includes multi-function radar, mobile launcher system and other vehicles.

5.Health Ministry’s flagship telemedicine service – “e-Sanjeevani” sets a record of 30 million tele-consultations

India has achieved a milestone in its e-health journey. The e-Sanjeevani telemedicine service of the Union Health Ministry has crossed 30 million tele-consultations . With this “e-Sanjeevani” telemedicine has also created a new record by completing 1.7 lakh consultations in a day . In some states, the service continues throughout the week. At the same time, in some states its service is being provided to the people round the clock. Telemedicine service has contributed a lot during the Kovid-19 pandemic. This has helped in reducing the burden on hospitals as well as helping patients to get consultation from doctors through digital medium / remotely. This has helped in bridging the gap between village and city by delivering quality health services at the doorsteps of the beneficiaries.

14.UNCTAD cuts India’s GDP growth rate to 4.6%

United Nations (UN) body UNCTAD (UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) has cut its estimate of India’s economic growth. UNCTAD report states that India’s economy will grow at the rate of 4.6 percent in 2022. Earlier, the Indian economy was estimated to grow at 6.7 percent i.e. UNCTAD has cut its earlier estimate by 2 percent. It has been said in the report that due to the Russo-Ukraine war, India will face problems on many fronts. These include energy access and prices, trade restrictions, food inflation, tough policies and financial instability.

19.Central government sets infrastructure loan target of Rs 1 lakh crore for NaBFID

HDFC Bank , Kotak Mahindra Bank and Axis Bank each acquired 7.84 per cent stake in Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) . 10 crore each in the company from the three bankshave been installed. In a regulatory statement, HDFC Bank said it now holds 7.84 per cent of the equity share capital of ONDC after allotting 10 lakh equity shares for Rs 10 crore. According to another filing, Kotak Mahindra Bank has subscribed 10,00,000 equity shares of Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) for Rs 10 crore, which translates into equity shareholding of 7.84 per cent in ONDC as on March 22. Axis Bank said in a separate filing that ONDC on March 22 allotted 10,00,000 equity shares with a face value of Rs 100 for a consideration of Rs 10 crore. After the allotment, the bank now holds 7.84 per cent of ONDC. The lenders said their investment in ONDC is aimed at assisting in the growth and transformation of the Indian digital commerce ecosystem. It is noteworthy that ONDC was formed in India on 30th December. was done in 2021. The company works to drive the growth and transformation of the Indian digital commerce ecosystem into an open public digital framework for both goods and services.
