1.Naval Commanders’ Conference will begin in New Delhi from May 8 :-

Image result for pmThe first edition of this year’s Biennial Naval Commanders Conference is scheduled to be held in New Delhi from May 8 to May 11, 2018. During the conference, the Mission will review its mission-based deployment theory with the goal of ensuring peace and stability in the Navy sector. The goal of this mission, which will further enhance the security and development of all (SAGAR) in the field of Honorable Prime Minister, is to maintain a continuous, peaceful and responsive presence of the Indian Navy’s ships in important areas.

Last year, the Navy’s focus was on the maintenance of war efficiencies and materials and the maintenance of large fleet of 131 vessels and submarines. During the conference, various steps taken to improve the effectiveness of the warfare along with the new change cycle for ships to be changed from the maintenance period through the training phase and after that the full-level operation will be examined.

 

2.Gurjjar of Rajasthan, will descend on the road, announcement of Rail Roko agitation on May 15 :-

Image result for Rail Roko agitation on May 15Gurjjar Samaj, who has been agitating for the demand for five percent reservation, has declared the Rail Roko agitation since May 15. This time the movement will be held in the Bayana Haan village of Bharatpur. This village is near the railway track connecting Delhi-Mumbai. Colonel Kirodi Singh Bansla, coordinator of the Gujjar Reservation Conflict Committee, held a meeting with the leaders of the society and the other castes in the Backward Classes in Kirwadi village on Sunday, announced the date of the agitation.

Committee spokesman Himmat Singh Gurjar said that the leaders of the society will visit village-village from Monday to mobilize the people of the society in the movement. Singh said the government did not make serious efforts to get us the reservation. The petition petition was not filed on the bill which was dismissed. Our demand is to classify reservation in OBC within 50 percent and give reservation. In such a situation, we have no choice other than the movement.

 

3.Haryana government’s strict stand on Namaz in the open, said: use Idgah and mosques only :-


The Haryana government has made a big statement after the controversy over reading prayers in open Gurujram adjacent to the national capital, Delhi. Chief Minister Manohar Lal said before going on the foreign tour, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said that prayers should be read only at the fixed places for reading Namaz. Public places are not set up for this purpose. Yet the government will make every effort to maintain the status of law and order.

Responding to the questions of journalists in Chandigarh, Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that there are mosques and Idgahs for reading prayers. Apart from this, prayers can be read at their personal places or at home, but it is not right to perform Namaz by performing prayers in public places.

 

4.Muslims get free coaching in Haj Houses for UPSC :-

The Central Government has taken a unique decision, encouraged by the selection of 51 Muslim participants this year in the Civil Services Examination. From next year, the Haj Committee will provide free coaching to the Muslims preparing UPSC in the states and union territories across the country at Haj House.

Indeed, the Muslim participants of the Civil Services Commission (UPSC) Civil Services are being coached for the last seven years in the headquarters of the Haj Committee located in Mumbai. Two of these participants were also selected for the prestigious Central Service this year. Therefore, the Haj Committee of India has recently sent a proposal to the Ministry of Minority Affairs. Under this, an appeal has been made to provide coaching facility for all Haj Houses in the country. The ministry has approved this proposal.

 

5.Punjab defeated Rajasthan by six wickets on the slow turn of Lokesh Rahul :-

The 38th match of IPL 2018 was played between Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals. Once again, the Rajasthan team proved to be sloppy and they had to face defeat by 6 wickets at the hands of Punjab. Punjab opener Lokesh Rahul made his team win by 84 runs in 54 balls. Punjab spinner Mujib ur Rehman was adjudged Man of the Match. Mujib bowled superbly, scoring 27 runs in 4 overs and 3 wickets.  

In this match, Punjab captain R Ashwin won the toss and decided to bowl first. Rajasthan, batting first, scored 152 for 9 wickets in 20 overs. Punjab had to score 153 runs to win, which was achieved by this team, with a stormy turn of Lokesh Rahul, in which 6 wickets remained in 18.4 overs. Punjab scored 155 for 4 wickets in 18.4 overs. 

 

6.American Space Agency NASA launches its first mission for intensive study of Mars :-

7.The Meteorological Department has warned of storms, storms and heavy rains on Monday in 13 states and two union territories across the country :-

Image result for Home MinistryThe Home Ministry has expressed the possibility of heavy rains and hailstorms along with the storm and hurricane in some parts of the country in at least 13 states and two union territories on Saturday. The Ministry of Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of hurricanes and strong winds in Jammu , Kashmir , Uttarakhand , Himachal Pradesh , Punjab , Haryana , Chandigarh , Delhi and western Uttar Pradesh. There may be heavy rainfall in some places in Assam , Meghalaya , Nagaland , Manipur , Mizoram and Tripura. A dust storm can occur in West Rajasthan at one or two places.

 

8.North Korea finished its standard time and mixed with South Korea :-

Image result for North KoreaNorth Korea has finished its standard time and has joined South Korea. After this, the differences between the two countries have ended. North Korea started Pyongyang Time in August 2015 on the 70th anniversary of independence from the colonial rule of Japan, and it was 30 minutes behind its clocks from South Korea and Japan. Last month, after the Summit of North and South Korea, the time being taken is considered to be the first important step towards the reconciliation and unity of the two countries.

 

9.Approval of Hundred Feet Bio-Athenol Vehicle :-

Image result for Bajaj and TVSThe government has approved the construction of vehicles made of 100% bio-ethanol. Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said that his ministry has allowed the automobile makers Bajaj and TVS to step in this direction. Bio-ethanol is made of rice and wheat straw.

The Union Minister, who arrived at the inauguration of a Telugu news channel, said, “I had asked the management of Bajaj and TVS to make ethanol based bike and auto rickshaw. On my instructions they built them. I am allowing them to run auto rickshaws, bikes and scooters at 100 percent bio ethanol. ” Shri Gadkari said that due to no use, paddy straw is being burnt in Punjab and Haryana. It also spreads pollution. This straw can be used for the development of vehicles running bio-athenol. 280 liters of ethanol can be made from one ton of straw.

 

10.UP government decided to stop the recovery of revenue and outstanding electricity bills from the farmers affected by the storm and heavy rainfall :-

Uttar Pradesh Government has decided to stop the recovery of revenue and outstanding electricity bills from the farmers in the districts affected by the storm and heavy rain. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the affected districts of Agra and Kanpur on Saturday.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed the victims to provide houses under the Prime Minister and Chief Minister Housing Scheme. He also asked to get girls of weaker sections under the Chief Ministers’ Comprehensive Wedding Scheme in the affected areas. By May 7, the power and drinking water system has been asked to be restored. Vacations of employees and officials of the revenue and power department have been canceled in 32 districts of the state’s Terai, Eastern and Western areas. Meteorological department has issued warnings of storms, storms and heavy rains in these districts.
