1.PM Modi to show on December 29, train-18 will be flagged off between Delhi-Varanasi:-

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off train -18 on December 29 This engineless train will run between Varanasi, Delhi and Parliamentary constituency of PM. The fastest train running in the country will replace the Shatabdi trains. The Integral Coach Factory (ICF) of Chennai has built it at the cost of 100 crores under the Make in India initiative. During the trial, this train ran at 180 kmph on Delhi-Rajdhani route, which is the highest speed in any train in India. Encouraged by its success during the trial, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has asked the ICF to make similar kind of coach in the current financial year.

Train 18 will provide WiFi for travelers, GPS based information system (through which it can talk to passenger driver), modular bio-vacuum toilet, LED lighting, mobile charging point and temperature control system. There will be two executive coaches in Train-18. They will have 52 seats. While the rest of the coaches will have 78 seats. This train will run from New Delhi at 6 in the morning and will reach Varanasi at 2 o’clock. The train will run from Varanasi at 2.30 the same day and will reach Delhi National Capital New Delhi at 10.30 pm.

2.International agencies will be able to improve India’s climate:-

The government’s campaign to deal with air pollution has now got the world together. Many world-wide agencies including the World Bank have offered India assistance for this. The final round of talks with these agencies is going on. It is believed that from January 2019, this campaign will begin to clean up the climate in nearly a dozen cities of the country. The government has, however, added 312 cities across the country in the plan to deal with the increasing threats of air pollution, but at the moment, 102 such cities are at the top, where the levels of pollution are increasing at a fast pace. These include big cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Kanpur, Patna, Gwalior. Under the National Clean Air Program (NCAP), the government wants to improve air quality in these cities.

According to the senior officials of the Ministry of Environment, the international agencies which have offered to help this movement at present, include the World Bank, an American agency Bloomberg Philanthropies, German agency GIZ, Swiss Development Corp., France International agencies like AFD (French financial agency) are included. These agencies have proposed to provide both technical and financial support.

The special status here is that these agencies also have the experience of working in the field of environment. Keep in mind that 14 cities in the 15 most polluted cities of the world are from India. At the same time, the World Health Organization has also warned about the danger of serious diseases in India due to increased air pollution.

3.Communications Satellite G Sat-7A prepares for launch from Sriharikota:-

The countdown to the launch of the G-SAT-7A satellite is going smoothly. It will be left by GSLV-F-11 from Satish Dhawan Space Center, Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh on four to ten minutes this evening. ISRO officials have said that refueling process and other tests are being done to ensure the sticking projection. Before reaching the destination through the on-board projection system, the GSLV F-11 has three stages with indigenous cryogenic upper stage. G-SAT-7A is a geo-stationary communication satellite weighing two thousand and 250 kg. It will make communication services available in the Ku Band in the Indian region.
