Prime Minister  Narendra Modi  will inaugurate SEMCON India 2023  in  Gandhinagar  on  28th  of this month  . Chief Minister  Bhupendra Patel Will inaugurate a special exhibition for the people. In this exhibition, information will be given about the manufacturing process of semiconductor and the progress made in this field. This exhibition will continue till 30th of this month. The latest technology related to semiconductor will be showcased in this national level event. Leading companies in the semiconductor sector will participate in SEMCON India 2023. Engineering and other students will be able to learn about semiconductor manufacturing from this exhibition. It will be a golden opportunity for the students to gain specific knowledge useful for career in this field.

2 Redeveloped campus of India Trade Promotion Organization to be inaugurated on 26 July

The redeveloped campus of India Trade Promotion Organization  will be inaugurated on 26 July. It   will host meetings of G-20 leaders . The Pragati Maidan complex with an area of ​​123 acres   has become the center of major meetings, conferences and exhibitions of the country. The modern and redeveloped International Exhibition-cum-Convention Center is counted among the top ten in the world, alongside such well-   known venues as the Hannover Exhibition Center  in  Germany  and  the National Exhibition and Convention Center  in  Shanghai . It  can seat seven thousand people Has the potential to hold conferences and international summits on a much larger scale. It has seven state-of-the art exhibition halls and an amphitheater with a seating capacity of three thousand people. There is a parking facility for visitors to conveniently park five thousand five hundred vehicles in the complex.

3. Telangana Government Increases Financial Assistance For Divyangjan Under Aasara Pension Scheme

The Telangana government  has   increased the financial assistance for Divyangjan  under  the Aasara Pension Scheme . Chief Minister  K. Chandrasekhar Rao  decided to increase  the pension amount by  Rs 1000 per month . This will benefit five lakh pensioners in specially abled category. The government issued an order to this effect after a high-level meeting yesterday and increased the pension amount   from Rs.3,166 to Rs.4,016 per month. The Chief Minister’s Office informed that this is the highest assistance being given by any state government to the specially abled people in the country. It will be implemented from this month itself.

4 Union Home Minister Amit Shah laid the foundation stone of a 108 feet tall statue of Lord Shri Ram in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh through video conferencing.

Union Home Minister  Amit Shah  laid the foundation stone of a 108 feet tall statue  of  Lord Shri Ram  in  Kurnool , Andhra Pradesh  through   video conferencing  . This statue   will be built at a cost of over Rs 500 crore . On this occasion, Shri Shah said that   the statue to be installed in Mantralayam will give the message of Sanatana Dharma to the whole world and this will strengthen the Vaishnava tradition. Shri Shah said that the project is spread over an area of ​​10 acres in Mantralayam village. It will be completed in two and a half years. He said that this village   is very famous for the temple of Raghavendra Swamy and this place also has historical importance.

5 Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation established JJM Digital Academy

 A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was exchanged between the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation  and  ECHO India  for setting up JJM Digital Academy (JJM Digital Academy)   on  the  sidelines of  the two-day  National Conference held on 21st and 22nd July   at  Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi . The online portal of JJM Digital Academy was launched   by the  Union Minister for Jal Shakti , Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat , Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries and Jal Shakti, Shri Prahlad Singh Patel , Secretary, Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation,  Smt. Vini Mahajan And was launched in the presence of Additional Secretary and Mission Director NJJM Mr. Vikas Sheel. ECHO India, a non-profit organization, has assisted the department in setting up JJM Digital Academy. Through the academy, the department aims at capacity building of various stakeholders associated with the water supply program such as various administrators, engineers, panchayat functionaries, technicians, sanitation workers and foot soldiers. The Academy will equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills to make an effective contribution towards achieving the objectives of the Mission.

6 Jammu to lead India’s first cannabis medicine project

Union Minister of State for Science & Technology (Independent Charge); Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space  Dr Jitendra Singh  said that  Jammu  is going to lead   India’s  first cannabis medicine project . CSIR-IIIM Jammu  ‘s ‘ Cannabis Research Project ‘ is a first of its kind project in India, initiated under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in private public partnership with a Canadian firm, which has immense potential to work for the welfare of mankind, especially patients suffering from Neuropathy, Cancer and Epilepsy.

7 Indian Navy warship INS Kirpan handed over to Vietnam as a gift

 After completing  32 years of illustrious service to the nation  , Indian Naval Ship Kirpan  has  been decommissioned from  the Indian Navy  and  handed over to the Vietnam People  ‘s  Navy (VPN)  at  Cam Ranh , Vietnam today. The decommissioning ceremony of INS Kirpan and handing over to the VPN was presided over by  Admiral R Hari Kumar, Chief of the Naval Staff  and  Rear Admiral Pham Manh Hung, Deputy Commander-in-Chief and Chief of Staff, VPN  . in 1991 INS Kirpan has been an integral part of the Indian Navy’s Eastern Fleet since its commissioning into the Indian Army and has participated in several operations over the past 32 years. The ship, manned by about 12 officers and 100 sailors, is 90 meters long and 10.45 meters wide and has a maximum cargo capacity of 1450 tonnes. The ship has been handed over to the Vietnam People’s Navy with full armament.

8 Odisha’s ‘Interest Subsidy-subsidy’ scheme

The Odisha cabinet  recently  took an important decision to give a boost to the agriculture sector by approving a provision of Rs 5700 crore for the implementation of the  ‘ Interest Subsidy-subsidy ‘ scheme. The objective of the scheme is to provide much-needed financial support to farmers, ensure easy access to crop loans and promote their well-being. The ‘ Interest Subsidy-Subsidy ‘ scheme is an unprecedented initiative taken by the Government of Odisha to support farmers by providing them access to affordable and interest-free crop loans. Under this scheme, farmers will be able to avail interest-free crop loans up to Rs 1 lakh.

9 “Through the Broken Glass: An Autobiography” by TN Seshan

‘ Through the Broken Glass: An Autobiography ‘  written by TN Seshan , former Chief Election Commissioner (CEC)  of India  made a significant difference in Indian elections. It   was published by Rupa Prakashan India. This autobiography   also covers his tenure as CEC from 1990 to 1995 . It is published in 2019, 4 years after his demise. In the early part of his career, he describes his first posting as a sub-collector in Dindigul and then as collector in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. TN Seshan   is also the author of An Undocumented Wonder: The Making of the Great Indian Election .

10 SC issues new guidelines for designation of senior advocates

The Supreme Court  has issued new guidelines for designating senior advocates,  replacing   the existing  2017 guidelines . Under the new rules,  advocates with at least 10 years of position and 45 years of age or above  are eligible to apply. The applications will be reviewed  by a committee comprising the Chief Justice of India (CJI), the two senior-most judges, the attorney general and a bar representative  , which will meet twice a year to assess candidates. The age criteria can be relaxed by the committee, and the CJI can directly recommend the candidate without considering the age limit.

11 Central Government appointed IPS officer Manoj Yadav as Director General of Railway Protection Force

 Former  Haryana DGP Manoj Yadav  has got a big responsibility in the center. He   has been appointed as the Director General of Railway Protection Force (RPF) . The Central Appointments Committee has approved the proposal of the Railway Board. Manoj Yadav will now serve in the same post till July 31, 2025, the day of his superannuation. At present Sanjay Chander, an IPS officer of West Bengal cadre, is the Director General of Railway Protection Force who will retire on July 31. Manoj Yadav will take over the post after his retirement.

12 Indian-origin 7-year-old schoolgirl Moksha Roy wins UK PM’s Point of Light award

Indian-origin seven-year-old Moksha Roy  has received  the British Prime Minister  ‘s  Point of Light Award  for her outstanding efforts to help the environment. Moksha Roy  began   her journey by volunteering for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) initiative  against  microplastic pollution . The initiative was supported by the Archbishop of Canterbury and the United Nations Task Force. This earned Moksh the distinction of being the youngest sustainability lawyer in the world at the age of three.

Minister of State (MoS) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship  Rajeev Chandrasekhar  inaugurated   the  country’s first  public-private partnership (P3) model Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) under NITI (National Institution for Transforming India) Aayog  ‘s  Atal Innovation Mission (AIM)  in partnership with  Oppo India  , a leading smartphone manufacturing company, in  Thrissur  ,  Kerala .

14 RBI canceled the license of Uttar Pradesh based United India Co-operative Bank

Due to insufficient capital and poor earning prospects,  the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has  decided   to cancel the Certificate of Registration of United India Cooperative Bank Limited,  Bijnor  ,  Uttar  Pradesh . Due to cancellation of license, “The United India Co-Operative Bank Ltd., Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh” is now prohibited from carrying out banking operations with immediate effect. It includes a number of activities, such as acceptance and repayment of deposits, as defined in section 5(b) read with section 56 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949.

15 The pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty won the men’s doubles title of Korea Open badminton tournament

Asian champions  Satwiksairaj Rankireddy  and  Chirag Shetty  pair   defeated Indonesia  ‘s  Fajr Alfian and Muhammad Riyan Ardianto in the men’s doubles final  of   the  Korea Open badminton tournament . In the final played in Yeosu, they defeated the Indonesian pair 17-21, 21-13, 21-14 and captured the title. The Indian pair made it to the final by defeating world number two players Liang Weikang and Wang Chang of China 21-15, 24-22 in the badminton rankings.

DD Sports   has achieved a significant milestone by securing  the television broadcast rights in India  for  the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 . DD Sports   has partnered with 1Stadia  to broadcast  the much-awaited 9th edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup. The FIFA Women’s World Cup   begins on  July 20, 2023 . Australia and New Zealand  are co-hosting the Women’s Football World Cup. This is the first time that both the countries are hosting this tournament.DD Sports   was launched on 18 March 1998 . It operated as an encrypted pay channel from 2000 to 2003, but on 15 July 2003, it  turned into the only free-to-air sports channel in the country .

17 Indian Grandmaster Praggnanandhaa won the Super GM Chess tournament in Hungary

17-year-old Indian Grandmaster  R Praggnanandhaa  scored   6.5 points to register a stunning victory in the Super GM Chess Tournament 2023 . After nine rounds of hard-fought play, he was one point ahead of Iran’s M Amin Tabatabai and Russia’s Sanan Szugirov. Throughout the tournament, Praggnananda achieved five wins, drew three games, and suffered only one loss, which came in the fifth round against Amin Tabatabai.

18 Anshuman Jhingaran becomes the youngest person to cross the North Channel

Anshuman Jhingran, an  18-year-old  open water swimmer  from  Navi Mumbai , has   achieved a remarkable feat by becoming the youngest person  to cross  the North Channel . His extraordinary feat accomplished in just 125 days   has earned him a coveted place in the prestigious Guinness World Records . Notably, his successful crossing is the 114th of its kind since 1947. Anshuman’s outstanding achievement has earned him considerable global recognition and appreciation from the international swimming community.

19 Indian men’s football team rises to 99th position in FIFA rankings

The Indian men’s football team  moved   up one place  to be  ranked 99th in the latest FIFA rankings . With this, India has achieved its best position in the last five years. India, who were ranked 100th at the beginning of the month, have had a wonderful year 2023 in football. They   have won the Tri-Nation Series in March, the Intercontinental Cup in June  and the SAFF Championship  earlier this month  . Along with this, the team did not concede a single goal in eight matches this year. Currently  coached by Igor Stimac  and  Sunil Chhetri Under the leadership of, the Indian men’s football team will take part in the King’s Cup in Thailand in September. India also have to play the Merdeka Cup in Malaysia in October and the FIFA World Cup qualifiers in November-December. India’s best FIFA ranking is 94, which  was achieved in 1996. The last time India was in the top 100 was in the year 2018 when they were ranked 96th in the world. At the same time, India is the 18th best team in Asia. Japan, ranked No. 20 in the world, is the top-ranked Asian football team ahead of Iran. World champions  Argentina  are the top-ranked team in the FIFA rankings, ahead of France, Brazil and England. The United States  is ranked No. 1 in women’s soccer.

20 National Broadcasting Day

National Broadcasting Day  is observed   on  23rd July . On this day in the year 1927, the first broadcast took place  from the Bombay station  under a private company – the Indian Broadcasting Company .  On  8 June  1936 , the Indian State Broadcasting Service  was   renamed All India Radio . The Central News Organization came into existence in August 1937. In the same year All India Radio was taken under the Department of Communications and four years later it came under the Department of Information and Broadcasting. The following year, the Central News Organization was divided into two divisions – the News Services Division (NSD) and the External Services Division (ESD). AIR  to Public Broadcaster  in 1956 Name given. The famous Vividh Bharati service of popular film music started in 1957. Since the year 1927, radio has been an important part of the lives of the countrymen and has been providing information, education and entertainment in a big way with the motto Bahujan Hitaya and Bahujan Sukhaya Sutra Vaakya.
