1.Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will be on a six-day visit to India :-

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will arrive in Delhi on a six-day visit to India on January 14th. A business delegation is also coming along with them.

Shri Netanyahu will also be involved in the meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Raisina talks in New Delhi. Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Bala Bhaskar said that during his visit, he will also visit Agra, Ahmedabad and Mumbai.

 

2.Seismic earthquake in Myanmar :-

The sharp shocks of the earthquake were felt in the remote areas of central Myanmar today. According to the American Geological Survey, its intensity was recorded in Richter scale six. Its center was ten kilometers below the land, 176 kilometers north-west of Rangoon, and Myanmar’s capital, 40 kilometers away west of Fu town. There is no notice of loss of personal injury.

 

3.American President Donald Trump indicated that – In the event of better results, the US could join the Paris Climate Agreement again :-

US President Donald Trump has said that the United States can join again in the historic Paris Climate Agreement, but they did not give any further signals in this direction. In a joint press conference with Norwen’s Prime Minister Irina Solberg, held at the White House, the American President correctly stated his decision to separate from the Paris Climate Agreement and said that if the treaty with the right wing is made, then the United States can join again.

 

4.President will visit Maharashtra on January 13 and 14, 2018 :-

President Shri Ram Nath Kovind will go to Maharashtra on January 13 and 14, 2018.

The President will inaugurate ‘Economic Democracy Conference’ in Thane on January 14, organized by Rambhau Mahalagi Prabodhini for the purpose of creating and promoting a platform for young entrepreneurs and self-employed persons, networking and consulting.

 

5.Home Minister will inaugurate International Workshop on Disaster-Resistant Infrastructure :-

The Union Home Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh will inaugurate a two-day International Workshop on Disaster-Resistant Infrastructure here on Monday, 15th January, 2018. This workshop was organized by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in collaboration with the United Nations Office on Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR).

 

6.Ministry of Tourism launches Incredible India Digital Calendar and Wall and Desk Calendar of 2018  :-

In pursuance of Government’s Digital India initiative, Minister of State for Tourism (Independent Charge) and Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, Shri K. J. Alfons launches ‘Incredible India Digital Calendar – 2018’ here today. He also released the Incredible India wall and desk calendar of 2018.

The Incredible India digital calendar application will provide the user with information about all the festivals and festivals in India. Digital calendars can be downloaded on Android and iOs platforms.

 

7.Conservative thinking was ‘bye’ of Saudi Arabia, women’s ‘Welcome’ for the first time in the stadium :-

Behind its conservative thinking, Saudi Arabia is moving ahead with the idea of change. While the year 2017 was transformative for women in Saudi Arabia, the beginning of 2018 also coincided with gender equality. For the first time in Saudi Arabia, women enjoyed a football match while sitting in the stadium. On Friday, the stadium doors opened for the first time in Jeddah for women who reached the football match between two local teams. Although King Abdullah Sports City Stadium was set up separately to accommodate the ‘family gallery’ for women. They entered the stadium with ‘Family Gate’ and enjoyed the match by sitting in ‘Family section’.

 

8.India beat Pakistan by 7 wickets in Blind Cricket World Cup :-

India defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in the Blind Cricket World Cup. India is currently the Blind Cricket World Cup champion. In this match, Pakistan batted first, scored 282 runs in 8 overs in 40 overs.

From the side of the mo Jameel (B3- Blind Level Three) and captain Nisar Ali (B3) shared a 137-run partnership for the third wicket. Nisar Ali was unbeaten on 63 by Ajay Reddy while Jameel scored 94 runs. On both these batting batting, Pakistan scored 282 runs.

 

9.Idea-Vodafone merger gets approval from Company Law Tribunal :-

(Business News) National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has approved the merger between Idea Cellular and Vodafone. This is another big step towards integration of both legendary telecom companies.

Idea Cellular informed in the Regulatory filing that the Ahmedabad Bench of Tribunal approved the plan for merger on January 11. After obtaining approval from the NCLT on similar Vodafone applications, the two companies will be able to apply in the Department of Telecom for final approval.
