Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is going to Philippines on Monday in this regard, where he will meet the Defense Ministers of Southeast Asian countries. This is the first foreign visit of Defense Minister Sitharaman. Given the South China Sea and the Dolaam controversy, the visit of Indian Defense Minister is being considered as very important. Sources say that during the three-day tour, Sitharaman will meet with the counterpart of several East Asian countries.

They joined the BJP after the meeting of the Parliamentary Board with Chief Minister Vijay Rupani , Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel and State BJP President Jitu Waghani yesterday. BJP president Amit Shah was also present in the meeting.

After joining BJP, Patidar leaders said that Hardik Patel has become an agent of Congress and he is using the movement to remove the current state government. A few hours earlier, Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee President Bharat Singh Solanki invited Hardik Patel to join his party.

Meanwhile , Gujarat Other Backward Classes Integration Forum convener, Ameesh Thakor, has announced to join the Congress.

Shri Thakore met Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi on Saturday with Congress General Secretary Ashok Gehlot in charge of the state and Bharat Singh Solanki, President of State Congress Committee in Gujarat.

6.The Internet will reach village-village, 7.5 lakh public Wi-Fi will be installed by 2018 :-

The central government  is planning to spread the network of Wi-Fi faster across the country . Under this scheme, 7.5 lakh public Wi-Fi will be started in the country by the end of next year. Its main objective is to provide high-speed Internet access to the people in the town area and rural areas.

Telecom Secretary Aruna Sundar Rajan said that high-speed Internet facility Reliance Jio, Airtel, Vodafone, Idea etc., with the help of private operators and BSNL. He said that this facility will lead to e-governance and digital development. Significantly, WiFi is the basic base for any digital infrastructure.

Public Wi-Fi facility is increasing at a slower rate than in other countries. In 2016, only 31 thousand public WiFi have been installed in the country. In comparison to this, if we look at other countries, there are 1.3 million in France, 9.8 million in the US and 56 lakh in public in the UK.

10.Indian Tourism Industry’s 2.5% Growth Capacity: Report :-

India’s tourism and tourism industry has the potential of growing by 2.5 percent. This is possible due to high budget allocation and low cost health facilities. This claim has been made in a report.

A joint study by Assocham and Yes Bank said that this industry has the capacity to grow by 2.5 percent, provided the government increased the budget allocation of 0.9 percent to 0.15 percent in the financial year 2018-19.

Also, in this study, developmental intervention has been proposed, including the development of tourism infrastructure and the development of tourism themes.

Tourism contribution in the country’s GDP was $ 208.9 billion in 2016, which is 9.6 per cent of GDP and it is estimated that by 2017 it will increase by 6.7 per cent and by 2017, its contribution to GDP will increase to 10.0 per cent.
