3 CISC Lt Gen J.P. Mathew flags off JSW-NDA car rally

Chief of Integrated Defense Staff  to Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee  Lieutenant General  J.P. Mathew  flagged off the JSW  –  NDA car rally  from   the National War Memorial in New Delhi  . This event  has been organized  to commemorate the completion of 75 glorious years  of  National Defense Academy – NDA . The Defense Ministry has said that this car rally   has been started in the memory of Operation Badli . This campaign  took place  in 1954 under the leadership of Major General Inayat Habibullah . The ministry has said that the car rally is starting from Dehradun and will pass through important military bases like Gwalior, Nashik and Mumbai. This car rally will cover a journey of 1800 kilometers and reach the National Defense Academy in Pune within six days.

 The Department  of Consumer Affairs  celebrated National Consumer Day 2023  in  New Delhi  with a focus on leveraging technology for  consumer protection and grievance redressal . 5 President Draupadi Murmu awards Crompton for Energy Conservation 2023

In Gujarat, Chief Minister  Bhupendra Patel  inaugurated the  20th  ‘ Neuro Update 2023 ‘ conference  in  Ahmedabad .  On the occasion of  Vibrant Gujarat Summit  and  Neurology Conference , the Chief Minister said that the then Chief Minister and current Prime Minister Narendra Modi  had started the Vibrant Gujarat Summit 20 years ago with the goal of holistic development in Gujarat. The benefits of this global summit are clearly visible today in various sectors including health, pharmaceutical industry and chemicals. This conference will feature discussions and speeches by renowned doctors in the field of Neurology on the topic ‘Practical Approaches in Neurology’. 7 ArSRLM and SBI tie up for  SHG banking services

 In a significant step towards empowering  Self Help Groups (SHGs)  in  Arunachal Pradesh , Arunachal State Rural Livelihood Mission (ARSRLM)  has   formed a strategic alliance with State Bank of India (SBI) . The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the two institutions aims to provide comprehensive banking services to the SHGs operating in the state.

8 SASTRA Ramanujan Awards 2022 & 2023

 At a prestigious ceremony at the SASTRA campus  in  Kumbakonam ,  the SASTRA-Ramanujan Awards for 2022 and 2023   were presented to Yunqing Tang  and  Ruixiang Zhang,  mathematicians affiliated with  the University of California at Berkeley . The award, established by SASTRA in 2005, honors individuals under the age of 32 who have made notable contributions to the field of mathematics.

9 WHO: More than 1 million Afghan children facing severe malnutrition crisis

The World Health Organization (WHO) has  issued a warning, revealing that  more than one million children  in  Afghanistan  are currently suffering from severe malnutrition. The dire situation has prompted urgent calls for international assistance and funding, as the country attempts to deal with the growing crisis. 10 RBI started card token facility at bank level

RBI  has   launched Card-on-File ‘ (COF)  token facility at the level of banks and other institutions  . With its help,  customers will be able to create a token of their debit or credit card and link it to the accounts of various e-commerce apps . Also, you will be able to make online payment without giving actual card details. With the implementation of the system, data theft and financial fraud will be prevented. Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) allowed National Pension System (NPS) subscribers to deposit their contributions directly through UPI QR code. Its purpose is to simplify the contribution process. Under the new system, customers will use the UPI QR code to transfer their contributions.

11 Conversion of National Academy of Indian Railway Assets into Gati Shakti University

The Railway Ministry  has  issued instructions to hand over  all assets from  Vadodara-  based  National Indian Railway Academy (NAIR) to Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV)  . The directive is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi  ‘s vision of promoting the newly envisioned central university  . The move is set to impact the prestigious heritage of NAIR, which has been an important training facility for railway officers for many decades.

12 RBI forecasts economic trajectory: FY24 GDP growth at 7.1%

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI)  has released projections for India’s economic performance  using   its  Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium (DSGE) model . The forecast  indicates   real GDP growth of 7.1% for fiscal year 2023-24 , higher than the previous estimate of 7%, and a slowdown of 6% in the next fiscal year, 2024-25  .

India has created history by defeating the Australian team for the first time in women’s test cricket. Today, on the fourth and final day in Mumbai, India got the target of 75 runs to win, which the team achieved by losing two wickets.

16 Sports Ministry suspends newly elected Indian Wrestling Federation for violating several provisions

The Sports Ministry has suspended the  newly elected  Indian Wrestling Federation for violating  several  provisions  . According to sources, the Sports Ministry suspended the new president of the federation Sanjay Singh after the announcement of organizing national competition for wrestling under-15 and under-20 age groups. After being elected President of the Indian Wrestling Federation,  Sanjay Singh  had   announced to organize a national competition for the under-15 and under-20 age groups in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh. According to sources, the Ministry said that this announcement was made in haste and no prior information was given to the wrestlers participating in the competition. Also, the provisions of the Constitution of the Indian Wrestling Federation were not followed. The Ministry said that such decisions are taken by the Executive Committee of the Federation before which such an agenda is required to be placed for consideration.
