1.Smt. Sushma Swaraj and Shri Prakash Javadekar will launch the ‘Study in India’ portal of Human Resources Development Ministry :-

Sushma Swaraj, in the presence of the Minister of Human Resource Development, ‘Study in India’ ( www.studyinindia.gov.in ) in the India Habitat Center on April 18, 2018, under an important initiative.  Will launch. Minister of State for Human Resource Development Shri Satyapal Singh will also be present on this occasion.

This portal will facilitate applications for enrollment in 150 different Indian institutions for 30 countries of South Asia, Africa, CIS and Middle East. These Indian institutions have received high positions in NAAC and NIRF indices.

 

2.Lieutenant General P.P. Malhotra takes over as NCC Director General :-

Image result for General P.P. Malhotra takesTake it General P.P. Malhotra took over as the Director General of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), the largest organization of young cadets in the world on April 11, 2018.

Take it General Malhotra has been appointed on various regimental, staff and command levels. Earlier he was the Chief Engineer of Army’s Chief Northern Command.

General Malhotra, a student of the National Defense Academy, Pune, was inducted on 18th June, 1983 in the Engineering Corps of the Indian Army. 

 

3.Shri Suresh Prabhu launches digital platform for MSME exporters :-

Image result for Shri Suresh Prabhu launches digital platformShri Suresh Prabhu, Minister of Commerce & Industry, today launched a digital platform ‘Fio GlobalLinker’ for MSME exporters in New Delhi to digitize their business and connect with the global community of growing businesses.

The Minister congratulated the Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FEO) for presenting this interesting idea. He said that this initiative will help in expanding India’s multi-centric export strategy as well as connecting various art and artists to the market. On this occasion, the Minister also informed that at least 300 Geographical Indicators will be registered soon, which will give a big boost to the export.

 

4.Mr. Manoj Sinha launches mirror-pli app  :-

Image result for Mr. Manoj Sinha launches mirror-pli appThe Union Minister of Communications, Mr. Manoj Sinha launched a mirror-pli app here today, which will assist in the collection of installment of PLI and RPLI insurance policies. Through this app, installments can be deposited in any post office in India and online updates of policy and money collection will be possible. Through this app, maturity claims of the said insurance policies can be settled in the Post Office only.

Mr. Sinha said that the digital advancement of Rural Post Office for a New India project has been implemented for the digitization of the country’s postal services. Its goal is to add 1.29 rural post office branches of the country online for postal and financial transactions.

 

5.ATM will have a shortage of currency, five times the 500 note printing :-

Image result for ATMThe government has been pressing for an unusual surge in the demand for currency notes. To remove the shortage of currency in ATM, printing of Rs 500 will be increased to five times. 500 notes of Rs. 2.5 billion each day will be printed every day. In the meanwhile, the Reserve Bank has started capsizing the system in cash from 2.5 to 3 lakh crores of cash kept in stock to meet this increased demand. There is still a currency of 1.75 lakh crore in this stock. At the same time, the government has also formed a committee with the Reserve Bank, which is keeping momentum on the status of cash availability.

Image result for heavily on ViratJNN In the 14th match of IPL 2012, Mumbai Indians faced Royal Challenger Bangalore and after three successive defeats in this match, the Mumbai team won by 46 runs. In this match, Virat invited Rohit’s team to bat after winning the toss. Earlier, while batting, Mumbai scored 213 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs on Rohit and Louise’s superb half-century. Bangalore were 214 runs to win but RCB scored 167 for 8 in 20 overs after captain Virender’s unbeaten 92 runs.

 

7.Barbara Bush, the first American woman to die at 92 years of age :-

8.India’s 22 ETF’s follow-on offer expected to be Rs. 10,000 crore :-

Image result for ईटीएफThe Ministry of Finance can bring a follow-on-fund of Rs 10 thousand crore to the 22 exchange traded funds (ETFs) of India. The government will fulfill the minimum public holding criteria by selling stake of Coal India through it.

“Apart from this, the Ministry is considering the sale of private companies, including ITC, Axis Bank and L & T through SUUTI, through the route of ETF.”

 

9.Estimates of the growth rate of India in the current financial year of the World Bank to be seven point three percent :-

Image result for World BankThe World Bank has projected India’s growth rate to be seven point 3 percent and 2019-20 in this year to be seven decimal five percent. The bank said that the Indian economy has been overcome by the ban on bondage and commodity and service tax.

The World Bank said in a half-yearly report of South Asian Economic Scenario in Washington yesterday that the economic growth rate is expected to increase from 6.7 percent of 2017 to 7.7 percent in 2018. With the improvement in private investment and consumption levels, it will remain strong. It has been said in the report that India will have to make efforts to increase investment and exports so that it can benefit from improving the global growth rate.

 

10.India has been selected as the member of the United Nations Organization of Voluntary Organization of Asia Pacific :-

Image result for ECOSOCIndia has been elected a member of the United Nations Organization for the voluntary organization of Asia Pacific countries. His four-year term will begin from January 1, 2019. India has the highest 46 votes in the elections. Pakistan has 43, Bahrain 40 and China has 39 votes. This committee of voluntary organizations is the Standing Committee of Economic and Social Council – ECOSOC.
