1.The Drug Controller General of India has given permission for the emergency use of Sputnik Light Kovid-19 vaccine in the country.

Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya has informed that the Drug Controller General of India has given permission for the emergency use of Sputnik Lite Kovid-19 vaccine in the country. In a tweet, Dr. Mandaviya said that this is the ninth vaccine to protect against Kovid in the country.Is. He said that this would further strengthen the country’s collective fight against the pandemic. The Sputnik Lite version has been found to be 79.4% effective against the corona virus. In January 2021, Covaxin and the Covishield vaccine were first approved for emergency use. After this, six more vaccines got this permission and now there is Sputnik Lite in the form of the ninth vaccine, whose only one dose is enough. This is the first single dose vaccine in the country. The eight vaccines that have been approved for use so far are all two-dose. These include Sputnik V, Covishield, Covaxin, Kovovax, Corbevax as well as Jay Cove D from Moderna, Johnson & Johnson and Zydus Cadilla.

Professor Dinesh Prasad Saklani has been appointed as the new director of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) . He succeeds Hrishikesh Senapati , who ended his term a year ago. The new director has been appointed for a term of five years from the date on which he assumes office, or until he attains the age of 65 years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Professor Saklani has been awarded the Vishisht Akademi Award for historical writing in 2005 by the Punjab Academy of Arts and Sahitya Akademi, Jalandhar. The new director is a member of the Academic Council of the Uttarakhand Open University, Haldwani. Professor Saklani Indian History Congress; He is also a life member of Uttarakhand History and Culture Association and Book Club IIAS Shimla.

4.West Bengal launches open-air classroom program ‘Paraya Shikshalay’

The Government of West Bengal has launched Paray Shikshalaya (Neighborhood School) , an open-air classroom program for primary and pre-primary students . Under the ‘Paraya Shikshalay’ project, primary and pre-primary students of government schools will be taught in the open. The state government will also provide mid-day meals to the students of ‘Paraya Shikshalaya’. Para teachers and primary school teachers will be part of this project. They will provide elementary education to the children of classes 1-5.

Senegal has won the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) football championship . In the final, Senegal defeated Egypt 4-2 to win the title. Both the teams did not score any goal in the match of 120 minutes. After the shootout, Senegalese forward Sadio Mane scored the winning goal on a penalty.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-Hyderabad) has launched the beta version of ‘ Swarajability ‘, a job portal powered by Artificial Intelligence to help people with disabilities acquire relevant skills and find jobs.does. The platform will analyze the profiles of job seekers and suggest the skills they will need to become eligible. A platform to address this challenge will help this vulnerable section of the population. The institute has developed the platform in association with Youth4Jobs, Visual Quest and Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. While IIT-H offers its expertise in AI, Visual Quest India has developed the platform. Youth4Jobs provides skilling services to the job seekers. The project is funded by Kotak Mahindra Bank. There are 21 million disabled persons in the country. About 70 percent of these are either unemployed or underemployed.

It provided a record USD 4.6 billion in sovereign lending to India in 2021 , according to data released by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) . This included USD 1.8 billion for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic response . ADB’s regular funding program for India is designed to support transportation, urban development, finance, agriculture and skill building. ADB’s project portfolio in 2021 reflects the Government of India’s focus on transforming cities into economically vibrant and sustainable communities. USD 4.6 billion was committed by ADB for 17 loans. 1.8 billion USD for vaccine procurement in COVID-19-related aidUSD 1.5 billion and USD 300 million to strengthen primary health care in urban areas and the country’s future pandemic preparedness.
