  • India has created history by winning two gold medalsat the Tokyo Paralympics . In the F-64 javelin throw event , Sumit Antil made a world record and won the gold medal . He set a world record by throwing 68 decimal 5-5 meters Sumit has broken the world record for the third time. Before shooting in the 10 meter air rifle event of the women in Avni Lekhara the gold medal won. Avani became the first Indian female athlete to win a gold medal at the Paralympics . Avani Lekhara was born on November 8, 2021 in Jaipur , Rajasthan .Happened in. He is a rifle shooter, he is currently ranked fifth in the world. Yogesh Kathunia of India won the silver medal in the men’s discus throw event. Devendra Jhajharia was successful in winning the silver medal in the F-56 javelin throw event. On the other hand, Sunder Singh Gurjar won the bronze medal. India is now ranked 26th in the table with a total of seven medals with two gold, four silver and one bronze.

  1. Indian Railways floats tender for 58 Vande Bharat trains
  • Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi ‘s announcement on August 15 , Indian Railways has floated a tender for 58 Vande Bharat train Tender has been floated for running 75 such trains during 75 weeks of “ Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav ” . Presently, two Vande Bharat trains are running:
  1. Delhi to Katra and
  2. Delhi to Varanasi.

According to the tender, 102 Vande Bharat trains will be given to the Railways by March 2024. 75 out of 102 will be available by 15 August 2022. The new coaches will be manufactured at Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai, Modern Coach Factory (MCF) in Rae Bareli and Rail Coach Factory (RCF) in Kapurthala. ICF will manufacture 30 rakes, while MCF and RCF will manufacture 14 rakes each. Vande Bharat Express Indian semi-high-speed, intercity, EMU train, also known as Train 18, was designed and manufactured by Integral Coach Factory (ICF) at Perambur, Chennai. It was constructed in 18 months under the Make in India initiative. Train 18 was launched on February 15, 2019. It was renamed as ‘Vande Bharat Express’ on January 27, 2019.

  • Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah launched nutritious ‘ Laddus Distribution Scheme ‘ for pregnant women in his Lok Sabha constituency, Gandhinagar . In Gandhinagar area, about seven thousand pregnant women will get 15 nutritious laddus free of cost every month till the child is born, through voluntary organizations to fight malnutrition. He said that not a single penny of the government would be involved in this scheme as the responsibility has been taken by the voluntary organizations. Shri Amit Shah said that the Prime Minister had started the Poshan Abhiyan from Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan on 8 March 2018 and worked to spread awareness across the country on the issues of malnutrition.

  1. RBI hikes transfer limit under India-Nepal remittance facility to Rs 2 lakh
  • The Reserve Bank of India has increased the money transfer limit under the India-Nepal Remittance Facility Scheme from Rs 50,000 per transaction to Rs 2 lakh per transaction . Earlier there was a maximum limit of 12 transactions in a year. Now this limit has also been removed . However, for cash-based transfers under the Indo-Nepal remittance facility, the per transaction limit of Rs 50,000 will still exist with a maximum of 12 transfers in a year. The India-Nepal Remittance Facility is a fund transfer mechanism from India to Nepal that operates on NEFT. It was started by RBI in the year 2008 . It is managed by SBI in India and Nepal SBI Bank Limited (NSBL) in Nepal.
