    1. Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi asked the minorities to bring speed and transparency in welfare schemes :-

    Union Minority Affairs Minister Mr. Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi emphasized the need for speedy transparency in the welfare schemes of the minorities. Mr. Naqvi was inaugurating a workshop organized by the National Minority Development and Finance Corporation (NMDFC) on ‘Financial Management’ today. While expressing the hope, the Minister said that the workshop will help the executing agencies (SCA) officers by improving their capabilities in providing benefits of targeted schemes for the minorities.

    Heads of SCAs of NMDFC took part in 22 workshops with field level officials from 22 SCA. Other associate organizations of corporations, National Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation (NSCFDC), National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation (NBCFDC) and Minority Ministry under NAWADCO, MAEF also participated in the workshop. In the program, Secretary of Minorities Affairs Mr. Ameesing Lukhamm and other senior officials also took part in the program.

     

    1. Constitution of the Committee to establish synergies between NCC and NSS :-

    The Government has decided to constitute a committee under the chairmanship of former Education Secretary, Mr. Anil Swaroop, in which adequate representation has been given to the Ministry of Human Resource Development and the Ministry of Human Resource Development and the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and National Service Scheme (NCC) NSS) will give suggestions on measures to strengthen.

    The Committee will work on issues such as strengthening, expanding, rationalizing resources and lower number of labor force affecting NSS and NCC. The committee will also recommend making a synergy between the NSS and the NCC and will also suggest suggestions for empowering the youth.

    USA President Donald Trump and Russia’s President Vladimir Putin expressed satisfaction at his first meeting in Helsinki last night. Mr. Trump has told the meeting very useful. Mr. Putin has described it as the first step. In the press conference after the meeting, Mr. Trump told that he had been holding talks with Mr. Putin on the allegations of Russia’s intervention in the US presidential election for a long time. Mr. Putin explicitly denied the allegations.

    The President of Russia said that there is no evidence of this fact from the facts and both countries have to believe in the evidence, not the rumors.

     

    1. Supreme Court directs Parliament to make new laws to deal with incidents of mob violence :-

    The Supreme Court has asked Parliament to consider the new law to deal with the incidents of mob violence. Chief Justice Deepak Mishra said that the horrific activities of the crowd can not be allowed to become a new law and there is a need to strictly stop them. The Supreme Court upheld the violation of the mob and the crime against the crimes committed in the name of defense, prevention ,Guidelines have also been issued for corrective and punitive provisions. A bench of Justice AM Khanvilkar and DY Chandrachud said that it is the responsibility of the State Governments to maintain the rule of law and the state can not ignore such crimes. The Supreme Court issued these guidelines to the petition seeking the prevention of such violent incidents. The next hearing of the case will be held on 28th August and the Central and State Governments have been told that its guidelines should be implemented to stop such crimes.

     

    1. In the last four years, India’s stature has increased and the country is on the path to new height –

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi :- Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that in the last four years, the height of India has increased on the Visva-Visav and the country is growing in the direction of touching new dimensions in the 21st century. In New India Conclave in New Delhi, Shri Modi said that the nation is going through a critical period of change. The country is moving forward to touch new heights in the twenty-first century. In four years, the credit of the country has increased, the glory has increased, and hundreds of thousands of Hindus have knocked on the world screen, now India is ready to take off. The Prime Minister said that India, among the first five weak countries, is now considered as the world’s fastest growing economy.

     

    1. To achieve the goal of inclusive, equitable and sustainable development, women empowerment needs – Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu :-

    Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu has said that it is necessary for women empowerment to achieve the goal of inclusive , just and sustainable development. Inaugurating a two-day International Conference on Women Empowerment in New Delhi yesterday, Shri Naidu said that active participation of women in decision making has had positive effect in areas such as education , health , nutrition , employment and social security. Shri Naidu said that development should also be given priority in rural areas. Our Parliament , our Political Parties , our Press , our Planning Commission , our policy towards the whole city and towards the Organizing Sector ,Coming more towards the Industries. Industry should give importance , industry should give importance. There is no two opinions in it. But at the same time, sixty-seventy-seven percent of the people living in the village here should be given priority in promoting their uplift.

     

    1. India will become the fastest growing major economy in 2019: International Monetary Fund :-

    The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has given India a great shock. The IMF has reduced the growth projection of India from 0.1 percent to 2018, 7.3 percent for the year 2018 and 0.3 percent for 2019 to 7.5 percent. IMF has reduced the economic growth rate of India from 7.5 per cent to 7.3 per cent in the current financial year. However, India is still at the top of the world’s fastest growth economies. The latest estimates of World Economic Outlook (WEO) have been cut by 0.1 per cent in April this year and 0.3 per cent in 2019.

     

    1. America and Russia have pledged to give a fresh start to the poor relations in the first summit :-

    US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin pledged to give a fresh start to the worsening relations between the two countries in the first summit in Finland’s capital Helsinki. The meeting discussed various issues including Russia’s intervention in the 2016 US Presidential election, the issue of Syria and Ukraine, trade deals of China and the number of nuclear weapons of both the countries. Both leaders expressed the desire to cooperate with global challenges. In a joint press conference with Mr. Putin, Mr. Trump said that Russia has completely denied any interference in the presidential election of the United States.

     

    1. Prakash Javadekar to inaugurate 17th World Sanskrit Conference :-

    Human Resource Development Minister Shri Prakash Javadekar will inaugurate the 17th World Sanskrit Conference to be held at Vancouver, Canada from 9th July to 13th July, 2018. More than 500 scholars and delegates from over 40 countries will be participating in this conference and exchange their knowledge by presenting papers on various subjects followed by discussions from amongst the members. There will be a special panel discussion on over a dozen topics like; History & Education of Women in Vedic Literature; Sanskrit Buddhist Manuscripts; Mimamsa Beyond the Yagasala; The Yuktidipika Forging a Place for Sankhya; Introducing Bhagavata Purana Commentaries; Research on the Gargiyajyotisa. Over 500 papers on various themes are likely to be presented during the 5-day conference. The purpose of this conference is to promote, preserve and practice the Sanskrit language all over the world by the people. The World Sanskrit Conference is being held in various countries across the globe once in every three years and so far it has been held thrice in India.

     

    1. NTA to conduct entrance examinations for higher educational Institutions :-

    The Minister of Human Resource Development, Shri Prakash Javadekar has said that the National Testing Agency (NTA) has started its work and will be conducting various entrance examinations for higher educational Institutions from next academic sessions onwards. Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, he said that the NTA will bring qualitative difference in the examination process by its focus on research and scientific test design using services of Experts, Researchers, Statisticians, Psychometricians, Test Item Writers and Education Specialists. The new system will be student friendly, fair , transparent and flexible, the Minister added.
