1.राष्ट्रपति श्री रामनाथ कोविंद ने ग्रामीण गुजरात को खुले में शौच से मुक्त घोषित किया :-
राष्ट्रपति श्री रामनाथ कोविंद ने महात्मा गांधी की जन्मस्थली कीर्ति मंदिर, पोरबंदर का दौरा किया और गांधी जयन्ती के अवसर पर उन्हें अपनी श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की। इसके बाद राष्ट्रपति ने कीर्ति मंदिर में ग्रामीण गुजरात को खुले में शौच से मुक्त घोषित करने के लिए आयोजित समारोह को संबोधित किया।
President of India visits Kirti Mandir, Porbandar; addresses a function organised to declare ODF status for Rural Gujarat :-
The President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, visited Kirti Mandir, Porbandar, the birth place of Mahatma Gandhi today (October 2, 2017), and paid his tributes to Bapu on Gandhi Jayanti. Later, the President addressed a function organised to declare ODF status for Rural Gujarat at Kirti Mandir.
2.उपराष्ट्रपति कल कृष्णा नदी के मुक्तालय–विजयवाड़ा खंड के बीच विकास कार्यों का शिलान्यास करेंगे :-
उपराष्ट्रपति श्री वेंकैया नायडू कल आंध्रप्रदेश के विजयवाडा में कृष्णा नदी( राष्ट्रीय जलमार्ग-4) के मुक्तालय से विजयवाड़ा खंड में विकास कार्यों का शिलान्यास करेंगे। श्री नायडू 1928.46 करोड़ रूपए की लागत से 415 किलोमीटर की राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग परियोजनाओ का उद्घाटन करेंगे और 2539.08 करोड़ रूपए लागत की 250 किलोमीटर की राष्ट्रीय परियोजनाओ की नींव रखेंगे।
Vice President to lay foundation stone for the development of Muktyala to Vijaywada stretch of Krishna River :-
The Vice President Shri Venkaiah Naidu will lay the foundation stone for the development of Muktyala to Vijayawada stretch of Krishna River (National Waterways – 4) tomorrow in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. He will also inaugurate approximately 415 km of National Highways projects worth Rs 1928.46 crores and lay the foundation stone for another 250 km NH projects worth Rs 2539.08 crores. The Minister of Road Transport & Highways, Shipping and Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation Shri Nitin Gadkari and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Shri N Chandrababu Naidu will also be present on this occasion.
3.श्री थावरचंद्र गहलोत ने अंतर्राष्ट्रीय वरिष्ठ नागरिक दिवस के अवसर पर वरिष्ठ नागरिको के लिए वॉकथॉन को हरी झंडी दिखाई :-
2 अक्टूबर को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय वरिष्ठ नागरिक दिवस के अवसर पर इंडिया गेट पर 5 हजार से अधिक लोग वरिष्ठ नागरिको के प्रति देखभाल और सम्मान देने के पावन कारण के प्रसार हेतु एकत्र हुए।
इस वर्ष का मुख्य विषय”भविष्य में प्रवेश: प्रतिभा को सम्मान और समाज में वृद्धजनो की भागीदारी और योगदान” है।

4.तमिलनाडु में सिंचाई के लिए खोल दिया गया मेट्टूर बांध :-
तमिलनाडु में मेट्टूर बांध को राज्य में सिंचाई के लिए आज खोल दिया गया। राज्य के बिजली मंत्री पी. तंगमणि ने बांध के दरवाजे खोलकर इसकी शुरुआत की।
पड़ोसी राज्य कर्नाटक के जलाशयों से पानी मिलने के बाद इसे खोला गया है।
Mettur Dam opened for irrigation in Tamil Nadu :-
Mettur Dam in Tamil Nadu was opened today for irrigation in the state.
State Electricity Minister P. Tangmani opened the dam door and started it. It has been opened after getting water from neighboring Karnataka water reservoirs.
5.टी-20 टीम में नेहरा की वापसी, अश्विन–जडेजा बाहर :-
बायें हाथ के तेज गेंदबाज आशीष नेहरा ने ऑस्ट्रेलिया के साथ 7 अक्टूबर से खेली जाने वाली तीन क्रिकेट मैचों की टी-20 श्रृंखला के लिए भारतीय टीम में वापसी की है।
स्पिनर रविचन्द्रन अश्विन और रवीन्द्र जड़ेजा को मौका नहीं मिला है। शिखर धवन को भी जगह मिली है।
Nehra returns to T20 team, Ashwin-Jadeja out :-
Left-handed fast bowler Ashish Nehra has returned to the Indian team for the T- 20 series of three matches to be played from Australia on October 7 .
Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja have not got the chance. Shikhar Dhawan has also got the place.
6.असम में बाढ़ से 80 हजार लोग प्रभावित :-
असम राज्य फिर से आई बाढ़ से प्रभावित हुआ है और इसमें पांच जिले जलमग्न हो गए हैं जिससे लगभग 80 हजार लोग प्रभावित हुए हैं।
असम राज्य आपदा प्रबंधन प्राधिकरण (एएसडीएमए) के अधिकारी ने बताया कि यह उत्तर पूर्वी राज्य इस वर्ष के कई दौर की बाढ़ से उबर रहा था लेकिन 306 एकड़ भूमि फिर से आई बाढ़ में जलमग्न हो गयी है। करीब 16000 जानवर और कुक्कुट प्रभावित हुए हैं।
80,000 people affected by fresh flood in Assam :-
Assam state has been affected by the flood again and in it five districts have become submerged, which affected about 80 thousand people.
An Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) official said that this north eastern state was recovering from floods of this year but 306 acres of land was submerged in the flood again. About 16,000 animals and poultry have been affected.
