1.Narayana declares Nellore district 100% ODF :-

The residents of this sleepy Viruvuru village located near Sangam area in the district on Sunday had the rare honour of seeing their village used as the platform for declaring the entire Nellore district as 100% ODF (open defecation free).

3.Airfares set to rise as Centre hikes airport charges :-

Airfares are set to go up as the government has decided to raise airport charges across all non-major airports operated by Airports Authority of India (AAI) by 5% every year beginning April 1.

The Uttarakhand government will ensure that the wildlife at Corbett National Park is not harmed with the construction of the Kandi road which passes through it.

Kerala Transport Minister A.K. Saseendran resigned on Sunday, just hours after a newly launched Malayalam news channel aired an audio clip in which he was alleged to have engaged in a lewd phone conversation with a woman.

A Beijing-backed civil servant, Carrie Lam, was chosen to be Hong Kong’s next leader on Sunday amid accusations that Beijing is meddling and denying the financial hub a more populist leader perhaps better able to defuse the political tension.

 

9.CS XI scores an emphatic seven-wicket win over DGP XI :-

Amid bonhomie and camaraderie, the Chief Secretary’s XI and the Director General of Police’s XI played the traditional cricket match organised during the Budget session, in which the L.V. Subrahmanyam–led CS XI scored an emphatic seven-wicket win over the DGP XI at the Mulapadu cricket stadium near here on Sunday.
