1.Rumblings over AFI’s record ratification process :-
KOCHI: All eyes will be on the technical committee of the Athletics Federation of India (AFI) for the next three weeks as 14 new national records await ratification. These include teenage javelin sensation Neeraj Chopra’s 86.48m that helped the country win its maiden World.Junior Championship gold and Lalita Babar’s 9:19.76 in 3000m steeplechase during the Rio Olympics. Lalita had finished 10th in Rio.

- श्रीलंका ने सबसे लोकप्रिय पर्यटन स्थल अवार्ड जीता :-
(I)श्रीलंका ने चीन में गुआंगज़ौ अंतर्राष्ट्रीय यात्रा मेला (GITF) में “सबसे लोकप्रिय पर्यटन स्थल पुरस्कार” जीता है, विदेश मंत्रालय ने एक बयान में कहा।
(II)द्वीपीय राष्ट्र ने लगातार दूसरे वर्ष यह प्रतिष्ठित पुरस्कार जीता है।
(III)चीन 2014 के बाद से पर्यटन के लिए श्रीलंका का दूसरा सबसे बड़ा स्रोत रहा है।

- अमेरिका, दक्षिण कोरिया ने वार्षिक फोल ईगल अभ्यास शुरु किया :-
(I)संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका और दक्षिण कोरिया के सैनिकों ने बड़े पैमाने पर वार्षिक फोल ईगल अभ्यास 2017 शुरु कर दिया है।
(II)अभ्यास पूरे अप्रैल चलेगा। 13 मार्च को इन दोनों के बीच की-रिजोल्व अभ्यास भी शुरु होगा।
(III)यह अभ्यास ऐसे समय शुरु हुआ है जब कोरिया-अमेरिका गठबंधन व उत्तरी कोरिया के बीच भारी तनाव चल रहा है।
- दुनिया के अमीर शहरों की लिस्ट में मुंबई 21वें स्थान पर :-
(I)सिटी वेल्थ इंडेक्स में मुंबई 21वें स्थान पर है। इस लिहाज से वो टोरंटो, वॉशिंगटन डीसी और मॉस्को से भी आगे है। नाइट फ्रैंक वेल्थ रिपोर्ट 2017 में यह खुलासा हुआ है।
(II)दिल्ली 35वें स्थान पर है और वो बैंकॉक, सिएटल और जकार्ता से आगे है।
(III)इस रिपोर्ट में 89 देशों के 125 शहरों में बढ़ती सुपर रिच लोगों की जनसंख्या को ट्रैक किया गया।
(IV)इसके अनुसार पिछले 10 सालों में भारत में यूएचएनडब्ल्यूआई की संख्या में 290 प्रतिशत का इजाफा हुआ है।
- विश्व वन्यजीव दिवस: 3 मार्च :-
(I)2013 में संयुक्त राष्ट्र संघ द्वारा घोषित विश्व वन्यजीव दिवस 3 मार्च को हर साल मनाया जाता है।
(II)इस वर्ष की थीम “Listen To The Young Voices” है जो हम सभी से युवा लोगों के विचार और विचारों को वन्य जीवन संरक्षण के लिये सुनने का आग्रह करती है।
(III)प्रकृति के संरक्षण के लिए अंतर्राष्ट्रीय संघ ने 2,599 प्रजातियों, उप प्रजातियों और उप आबादी को लुप्तप्राय जानवरों के रूप में सूचीबद्ध किया है।
- असम नदी महोत्सव ‘नमामी ब्रह्मपुत्र आयोजित करेगा :-
(I)असम सरकार ने सबसे बडा नदी महोत्सव ‘नमामी ब्रह्मपुत्र’ का आयोजन करने का फैसला किया है।
(II)पांच दिवसीय महोत्सव 31 मार्च से अप्रैल 4 तक आयोजित किया जाएगा जहां असम सरकार ने क्षेत्र की कला, विरासत और संस्कृति की गतिविधियों के प्रदर्शन करने की योजना बनाई है।
(III)सभी राज्यों के मुख्यमंत्रियों और मुख्य सचिवों को भी आमंत्रित किया गया है।
