1.चीनी नोबेल पुरस्कार विजेता लियू झियाओबो का निधन :-
चीन के सबसे प्रमुख राजनीतिक कैदी एवं नोबेल शांति पुरस्कार विजेता लियू झियाओबो का गुरुवार को निधन हो गया।
लियू को 1989 में तियानानमेन स्क्वायर लोकतंत्र समर्थक के विरोध के संबंध में पहली बार कैद किया गया था।
2010 में उन्हें नोबेल पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया, जब वे चीन में व्यापक राजनीतिक सुधारों और मानव अधिकारों की वकालत करके उपनिवेशो को उकसाने के आरोप में चौथी और अंतिम बार जेल की सजा काट रहे थे ।
Liu Xiaobo, Chinese dissident who won Nobel prize, dies :-
Nobel Peace Prize laureate Liu Xiaobo, China’s most prominent political prisoner, died on Thursday.
Liu was imprisoned for the first time in connection with the 1989 Tiananmen Square pro-democracy protests.
He was awarded the Nobel Prize in 2010 while serving his fourth and final prison sentence, for inciting subversion by advocating sweeping political reforms and greater human rights in China.

काठमांडू में मॉडल संयुक्त राष्ट्रीय क्षेत्रीय सम्मेलन आयोजित किया जा रहा है। यूथ थिंकर्स सोसाइटी के साथ साझेदारी में अमेरिकी दूतावास द्वारा इसका आयोजन किया जा रहा है।
मून(MUN) का मूल उद्देश्य युवाओं को एक समृद्ध तथा शांतिपूर्ण दुनिया के लिए ऊर्जा और संसाधनों के उपयोग हेतु एक मंच प्रदान करना है।
सम्मेलन में चार संयुक्त राष्ट्र समितियां- संयुक्त राष्ट्र पर्यावरण कार्यक्रम (यूएनईपी), आर्थिक और वित्तीय समिति (इसीओएफआईएन), संयुक्त राष्ट्र सुरक्षा परिषद (यूएनएससी) और संयुक्त राष्ट्र मानवाधिकार परिषद (यूएनएचआरसी) शामिल है।
प्रतिनिधियों के द्वारा पर्यावरण और जल सुरक्षा, प्रवासी श्रमिकों के मानव अधिकारों को बढ़ावा देने, वित्त सुरक्षा, परमाणु अप्रसार और मीडिया कट्टरपंथियों का मुकाबला करने सहित विभिन्न मुद्दों पर चर्चा की जानी है।
Model United Nations Regional Conference underway at Kathmandu :-
A Model United Nations Regional Conference is being held at Kathmandu. The event is organised by the US Embassy in partnership with the Youth Thinker’s Society.
The basic aim of the MUN is to provide a platform to young minds to channelise energy and resources for a more prosperous and peaceful world.
The conference simulate four UN committees–United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Economic and Financial Committee (ECOFIN), United Nations Security Council (UNSC) and United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC).
The delegates are discussing a wide range of issues including environment and water security, promoting human rights of migrant workers, finance security, nuclear non-proliferation and countering youth radicalisation

Vijaya Bank MD gets Skoch award :-
Kishore Sansi, Managing Director and CEO of Vijaya Bank, has been conferred the ‘Personality of the Year’ award by Skoch Consultancy Services.
The award is part of the ‘Skoch Banking and Financial Leadership’ series.
Past recipients of the award include C Rangarajan, Dilip Parekh and Nandan Nilekani.

4.यूएसआईबीसी ने चैंबर से अलग होने का निर्णय लिया :-
यू.एस. इंडिया बिजनेस काउंसिल (यूएसआईबीसी), दोनों देशों के बीच व्यापारिक सहयोग को बढ़ावा देने वाली कंपनियों का एक मंच है, ने यू.एस. चैंबर ऑफ कॉमर्स से अलग होने और एक स्वायत्त संस्था के रूप में कार्य करने का निर्णय लिया है।
यू.एस. चैंबर कई अन्य देशों के लिए द्विपक्षीय परिषदों का केंद्र है, लेकिन इनमे यूएसआईबीसी और अमेरिका-चीन परिषद सबसे प्रमुख हैं।
USIBC plans to break free from Chamber :-
The U.S. India Business Council (USIBC), a forum of companies that seek to promote business cooperation between the two countries, has decided to delink from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and function as an autonomous entity.
The U.S. Chamber houses bilateral councils for several other countries, but USIBC and the U.S.-China Council are the most prominent.
- न्यायमूर्ति विक्रमजीत सेन बीसीसीसी अध्यक्ष नियुक्त :-
भारतीय ब्रॉडकास्टिंग फाउंडेशन (आईबीएफ) के निदेशक मंडल ने सर्वोच्च न्यायालय के पूर्व न्यायाधीश जस्टिस विक्रमजीत सेन को ब्रॉडकास्टिंग कंटेंट शिकायत परिषद् (बीसीसीसी) के नए अध्यक्ष के रूप में नियुक्त किया।
यह भारत में सभी गैर-समाचार सामान्य मनोरंजन चैनलों से संबंधित सामग्री संबंधी शिकायतों की जांच करने के लिए जून 2011 में फाउंडेशन द्वारा स्थापित स्वतंत्र स्व-नियामक संस्था है।
जस्टिस सेन ने पंजाब और हरियाणा उच्च न्यायालय के पूर्व मुख्य न्यायाधीश,न्यायमूर्ति मुकुल मुदगल का स्थान लिया है जिनका तीन साल का कार्यकाल बीसीसीसी अध्यक्ष के रूप में समाप्त हुआ।
Justice Vikramajit Sen appointed new BCCC chairperson :-
The Board of Directors of Indian Broadcasting Foundation (IBF) appointed former Supreme Court judge, Justice Vikramajit Sen, as the new chairperson of Broadcasting Content Complaints Council (BCCC).
It is the independent self-regulatory body set up by the Foundation in June 2011 to examine content-related complaints relating to all non-news general entertainment channels in India.
Justice Sen succeeds former Punjab and Haryana high court Chief Justice, Justice Mukul Mudgal, whose three-year term as BCCC Chairperson came to an end.
6.गुजरात में बनेगा तीव्र गति ट्रेन प्रशिक्षण केंद्र :-
देश में पहला तीव्र गति ट्रेन प्रशिक्षण केंद्र गांधीनगर में बनने जा रहा है।
मुंबई-अहमदाबाद मार्ग पर चलने वाली बुलेट ट्रेनों का परीक्षण करने के लिए प्रशिक्षण केंद्र के पास ओवरहेड विद्युत प्रणालियों से युक्त एक नमूना ट्रैक होगा ।
राष्ट्रीय तीव्र गति रेल निगम (एनएचएसआरसी) के प्रबंध निदेशक अचल खरे ने कहा कि 2023 में भारत की पहली बुलेट ट्रेन को ट्रैक करने का प्रस्ताव है, लेकिन प्रशिक्षण केंद्र को 2020 तक शुरू किया जायेगा।
Training centre for high-speed rail to come up in Gujarat :-
The country is set to get its first high-speed rail training centre at Gandhinagar.
The training centre will have a sample track fitted with the overhead electrical systems to enable testing of bullet trains that will run on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad route.
While India’s first bullet train is proposed to hit the track in 2023, the training centre is supposed to start operating by 2020, said Achal Khare, managing director, National High Speed Rail Corporation (NHSRC).

पूर्व भारतीय बल्लेबाज संदीप पाटिल को भारतीय इनडोर क्रिकेट टीम के ब्रांड एंबेसडर के रूप में नामित किया गया।

Sandeep Patil named brand ambassador of indoor cricket team :-
Former Indian batsman Sandeep Patil was named as the brand ambassador of the Indian Indoor Cricket Team.
Patil, a member of the 1983 World Cup-winning squad, will be the face of the team in the lead-up to the 10th edition of the World Indoor Cricket Federation (WICF) World Cup, to be held from September 16-23 at the Insportz Club in Dubai.
