1.Bihar government sanctioned reservations for Divisions in educational institutions and government jobs :-

The Bihar government has approved reservation for the Divisions in educational institutions and government jobs.

Special Secretary Upendranath Pandey told the Cabinet Secretariat that this decision was taken in the state cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

The Cabinet also approved the setting up of State Advisory Board for the empowerment of the Divya janans. The Secretaries of different departments will act as members of the Board and will also be included in the representatives of the districts.

 

2.Stock markets rally :-

The stock markets have continued to rally and early Sensex has crossed 104 points higher at 32,000 points.

According to brokers, there are signs of strengthening in the global markets. Meanwhile, key economic data prior to the release of retail investors and domestic institutional investors have also enlarged their positions.

This has seen a sharp perception of the markets. Correction of rupee has also supported the market.

 

3.Nisha Desai Biswal becomes new President of USIBC :-

Nisha Desai Biswal has been appointed as the new President of the US-India Business Council (USIBC).

American citizen of Indian origin Nisha Desai Biswal was earlier working as Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs in the US State Department.

While on this post from 2013 to 2017, he worked towards a significant partnership between India and USA, including introduction of India-US Strategic and Commercial Dialogue.

 

4.Despite all efforts to thwart the object and service tax, all the states are adopting it fast – Finance Minister Arun Jaitley :-

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has said that despite all efforts to disrupt the commodity and service tax, all the states are increasingly adopting this new system.

Mr. Jaitley was responding to the question about the big challenges before the GST system during negotiations with American President of Company PayPal and CEO Dan Sholman and CII’s Chandrajit Banerjee.

In a program organized jointly by the Federation of Indian Industry and America India Business Council in New York, Mr. Jaitley said that in the last three years, doing business in India has become easier with the measures of the present government.

Mr. Jaitley has said that in emerging economies, India can become a major economy , because it has the potential to implement strong decisions and to move forward. Shri Jaitley said that India is the most open and world class integrated economy at this time , while the other economies have adopted a defensive approach.

 

5.FIFA Under-17 World Cup: France face Japan in today’s match :-

In FIFA U-17, Group E will face France in Guwahati’s Indira Gandhi Stadium, while Honduras will face New Caledonia.

In Group F, Kolkata’s Vivekananda Yuba Bharti Kringangan will face Iraq’s Chile and England face Mexico.

Iran is on top with six points in Group C. With three points, Germany is in second place and Costa Rica is in third position. Guinea is at the bottom.

 

6.ICC can test TEST championship :-

The International Cricket Council (ICC) can approve the long-awaited World Test Championship plans in New Zealand this week.

The regulatory body of the game has been arguing for many years that a test championship is required to increase the popularity of the five-day format because on a large scale the audience is giving preference to T-20 matches on television and on the field.

But in spite of the fears of losses and losses due to some countries, its launch has remained a hindrance so far.

According to a report in the Sydney Morning Herald ICC has moved forward with plans to test championship nine countries and Friday could be approved in the meeting in Auckland.

7.Indian-origin head of Madhu Valli, heading Miss India Worldwide crown :-

8.Ashish Nehra will retire from international cricket, know when and where to announce :-

Team India fast bowler Ashish Nehra is going to retire from international cricket. They will retire next November next month.

Nehra will retire from international cricket after the first T20 match played in New Zealand against New Zealand. Ashish Nehra has also been selected in the team in the current T-20 series against Australia. But in both the matches, they are not part of the last eleven.

After Australia, the New Zealand team will tour India and the first match of the three T-20 series to be held with the Kiwi team will be their last match of international cricket.
