2.92 Army Saini Medals of Northern Command awarded:-In Jammu and Kashmir Udhampur, 92 soldiers of the Northern Command were honored with Sena Medals for their courage, valor and excellent services. Command Chief Lieutenant General Ranvir Singh provided 76 Shaurya Medals, seven Vishal Seva Medals and eight Vishisht Seva Medals. Lance Naik Nazir Ahmad Wani, who received Ashok Chakra, was awarded posthumous Sena Medal Bar.

4.Mega Silk event will be organized in New Delhi :-In collaboration with the Union Silk Board, the Textile Ministry is organizing ‘Surgeing Silk – Appointment and Way Forward’ program in New Delhi on February 9, 2019. External Affairs Minister Smt. Sushma Swaraj will be the Chief Guest of the program, while the program will be chaired by Union Textile Minister Smt. Smruti Zubin Irani.

The program will mainly show the development of silk industry in India during the last 4 years. Silk Rilling machines will be distributed to the women of tribal areas. Its purpose is to eliminate the old system of Thai Rilling. With the aim of ending this practice in the field of silk and providing proper income to the rural and tribal women, and with the cooperation of an entrepreneur from Champa, Chhattisgarh, Central Silk Technology Research Institute has developed this machine. The name of this developed machine is the underlying rolling machine. This machine will improve the quality and productivity of silk silk and provide relief to the hard labor of women.
