1.Kumbh Mela running in Prayagraj is being successful in increasing awareness of cleanliness:-
The Kumbh Mela running in Prayagraj is also being successful in not only giving spiritual and cultural messages, but also on mass awareness about cleanliness. Over one lakh twenty thousand toilets have been made in the field of Aquarius and its surroundings. Prayagraj Kumbh Mela is also creating awareness on other issues including social and sanitation. Swachh Bharat Mission has set up a high-tech based exhibition in Sector 6 of the fair in rural. The visitors are showing keen interest in the message on cleanliness by the puppet shows. 2.92 Army Saini Medals of Northern Command awarded:-
In Jammu and Kashmir Udhampur, 92 soldiers of the Northern Command were honored with Sena Medals for their courage, valor and excellent services. Command Chief Lieutenant General Ranvir Singh provided 76 Shaurya Medals, seven Vishal Seva Medals and eight Vishisht Seva Medals. Lance Naik Nazir Ahmad Wani, who received Ashok Chakra, was awarded posthumous Sena Medal Bar.
3.Electoral Commission for the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 launched the Voter Revision and Information Program (VVIP):- 
The Election Commission for the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 launched the Voter Revision and Information Program (VVIP) for the citizens to improve their names, new registrations, details and improve voter identity card. The Election Commission has started various mediums for this program. Contact centers have been set up in all the districts of the country. A two-day training-cum-workshop was organized on the use of information and communication techniques in the operation of the Lok Sabha elections 2019.The VVIP program was launched during the workshop. In the training-cum-workshop, Additional Chief Electoral Officers IT Incharge, Nodal Officers, State Level Instructors, and Technical Resource Members of all the States and Union Territories participated.On this occasion, Shri Ashok Lavasa, Election Commissioner said that the power of technology means that it is easy for everyone to use it easily. Shri Lavasa reminded the participants that the theme of the Election Commission is to make the elections more inclusive. The immediate answer should be ensured using the app because citizens want better quality services.
Chief Election Commissioner Shri Sunil Arora said that technology is actually a major game changer. The purpose of the training workshop should be to listen, learn, assimilate and apply. He said that there is only some time left for the election and all the training should be strengthened to facilitate the voter.
During the training, all the states and Union Territories were given information about the C-Wijl Application. In this application, there is evidence based on evidence of the Model Code of Conduct, violation of expenditure limit and live photo / video facility with automatic placement data. Any citizen can file a complaint through the mobile app. Flood Squad will investigate the matter and returning officers will decide. The status of the complaint and the time limit information can be shared with the complainant.On this occasion, the C-VIJil Usage Booklet and EVM Management System Usage Booklet were released. The Android based ‘ Voter Helpline ‘ app was also launched today. All citizens from this app can avail of various facilities like finding their name in the electoral roll, submitting an online form, knowing the status of the application, filing a complaint and receiving an answer on the app. All forms, election results, affidavits of candidates, press releases, voter awareness and key guidelines are available on this mobile app.PWD App launched for DivyaJangan Through this app, DivyaJangan can register his identity, make new registrations, change address and other details.Only after giving the contact details will the booth level officer provide them facilities at home. During elections, DivyaJang can also ask for wheelchairs.
Using the latest technology by the Election Commission, innovation has taken place in electoral activities. The Election Commission has ensured the use of smart technology for effective conduct of elections.
4.Mega Silk event will be organized in New Delhi :-
In collaboration with the Union Silk Board, the Textile Ministry is organizing ‘Surgeing Silk – Appointment and Way Forward’ program in New Delhi on February 9, 2019. External Affairs Minister Smt. Sushma Swaraj will be the Chief Guest of the program, while the program will be chaired by Union Textile Minister Smt. Smruti Zubin Irani.
The program will mainly show the development of silk industry in India during the last 4 years. Silk Rilling machines will be distributed to the women of tribal areas. Its purpose is to eliminate the old system of Thai Rilling. With the aim of ending this practice in the field of silk and providing proper income to the rural and tribal women, and with the cooperation of an entrepreneur from Champa, Chhattisgarh, Central Silk Technology Research Institute has developed this machine. The name of this developed machine is the underlying rolling machine. This machine will improve the quality and productivity of silk silk and provide relief to the hard labor of women.
Using a traditional method, a woman who produces a thread earns 125 rupees per day, while she can earn 350 rupees per day from the foundation rolling machine. The price of foundation rolling machine is 8475 rupees per unit. Target is set to end the practice of Thai Rilling till March 2019. The machine is available with solar powered and foot-powered devices. Threaders have been identified for manufacturers for the production of machine and their distribution.Successful persons of silk industry will be honored during the program. The best performers will be given prizes. Silk waste will be made from manganese fabric. A mobile app will be launched for quality certification of silk pest-farming area. Simultaneously, a booklet based on Indian Silk Industry State Silk Insecticide will be released.
In this booklet, each state will have details of the development of silk insect and silk industry and the current situation. The information of various schemes started by the Government of India will also be in this booklet. It has been ensured that representatives of the textile sector participate in a large number of programs.
5.Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also launch the special Doordarshan Channel under Arunachal Pradesh for Arunachal Pradesh tomorrow, Arunachal Pradesh will also lay the foundation stone of the permanent premises of the Indian Film and Television Institute in Arunachal Pradesh.:-
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will launch a special Doordarshan satellite channel DD Arunaprabha, centered on Arunachal Pradesh on February 9, 2019. This channel will be broadcast all day. Prime Minister will also lay the foundation for the permanent premises of the Indian Film and Television Institute in Arunachal Pradesh. DD Arunaprabha will be the 24th satellite channel of Doordarshan. Prime Minister will launch it at IG Park in Itanagar.The transmission center of this channel will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology. It will also be a unit of news compilation through digital satellite, which will be able to broadcast live 24 hours far away from remote areas.
The programs broadcast on this channel will show different forms of local culture and rich heritage. It will not only help in connecting the North Eastern region with the country but also the beauty of the North-Eastern region can also be shown directly, as well as the local people’s aspirations to help the news, travel stories, choreography and telefilms and realty shows. The premises will be built without any tampering in the local geographical structure. It will follow rules of National Building Code 216, accessible India and all other construction rules. This will be the premises composed of state-of-the-art technology in its own right. It will have a plant of 150 kilometer liters per day. There will also be 300 kilowatt capacity solar panels and low-power air-conditioning plants in the premises. LED lights will also be used in Street Lights and there will also be arrangements for rain water harvesting.

The fifth meeting of the Joint Consultative Committee of India and Bangladesh will be held in New Delhi today. External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Foreign Minister of Bangladesh Dr. A.K. Abdul Momin will jointly chair the meeting. Earlier, the joint advisory group of the two countries was held in Dhaka in October 2017. Bangladesh’s Foreign Affairs Minister came on a four-day visit to India on Wednesday. This is the first high level meeting after the victory of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the parliamentary elections held in December last year.

7.Jeremy Lalrinnunga clinches silver in men’s 67-kg category:-
Youth Olympics gold medallist Jeremy Lalrinnunga today clinched silver in men’s 67-kilogram category, fetching India’s second medal in the EGAT’s Cup International Weightlifting Championships in Chiang Mai, Thailand.The 16-year-old Lalrinnunga lifted 131 kilograms in the snatch and 157 kilograms in clean and jerk for a total of 288 kilograms. The promising Mizoram weightlifter is, however, far behind the gold winner, Deni of Indonesia who lifted 303 kilograms. Ruben Katoatau of Kiribati took the bronze with a total lift of 285 kilograms. world champion Saikhom Mirabai Chanu had won a gold in the women’s 48-kilogram category with a total lift of 192 kilograms.

8.Around 40% of India’s population will get the benefit of Ayushman India initiative: Finance Minister Goyal:-
Finance Minister Piyush Goyal has said that under the Ayushmann India initiative, about 40 percent of India’s population will benefit. He was addressing the India Showcase Program of 6th replication meeting of Global Fund organized by the Health Ministry in New Delhi today. He said that the government is working to provide free health care to fifty million Indians. He said that it will define efforts to achieve sustainable development goals by 2030 as compared to the given time frame. Shri Goyal said that by March-April this year, electricity will reach every household in India, which is almost a decade ahead of the strategic development goal-2030 deadlines.
