1.Twelve deaths, many disappearances in Bangladesh by reversing boat of Rohinja refugees :-

Twelve people died and many went missing after the yacht filled with Rohinja refugees near Shah Porir Island at the southern end of Bangladesh. According to Coast Guard and Border Guard officials, there were about hundred people boarding the boat.

The accident happened near the mouth of the river Naf river separating Myanmar and Bangladesh.

Bangladeshi police officer Mohammad Mianuddin told the Reuters that twelve bodies have been recovered , in which ten children are a woman and a man.

 

2.US warns of storm of Net Storm in New Orleans :-

Tropical storm Nate wreaked havoc on popular resorts located on the coast of Mexico and now moved to the Gulf Coast of America. Due to heavy rains due to which at least 28 people have died in Central America.

Citizens living on the Gulf Coast of the United States have been preparing to deal with NATA because the Cyclone Nate is reaching New Orleans and there is a possibility that it will be strengthened as a Category-II storm.

 

3.6 earthquake in Alaska :-

A 6.6-magnitude earthquake was felt in Alaska of America.

However no tsunami alert has been issued.

According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), the center of the earthquake was at a depth of 111.8 kilometers, 60 kilometers east of Buldir Island in Aluuta Island, where approximately 8,000 people live.

USGS said, most of the area’s population lives in earthquake-resistant houses. However, weak structures are also present here. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has not issued any warning to the Tsunami at the moment. The USGS said that there is less chance of casualties or more damage.

 

4.Top Jash Commander Abu Khalid :-

While securing a major breakthrough in the Ladur region of North Kashmir, the security forces killed top terrorist commander Abu Khalid of Jaish-e-Mohammed .

This information has been given by the police today.

Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police SP Vaid was killed because it is a big success for the security forces said militants had , was involved in several attacks on security camps in north Kashmir.

 

5.BJP rejects allegations against Amit Shah’s son :-

The Bharatiya Janata Party has finally dismissed all the allegations leveled in the article published in a website against Jai Shah, son of Amit Shah. The article claims that there has been an unprecedented increase in the company’s business of Mr. Jai Shah.

The party has described the allegations as baseless, mischievous and spoiled. The party has said that its aim is to harm the reputation of Mr. Amit Shah. Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that Mr. Jai Shah does a complete lawful business and all his transactions are transparent.

 

6.President Ramnath Kovind launches ‘Jeev-Amritam’ project of Mother Amritanandamayi Math Project :-

President Ramnath Kovind has said that the country needs more people who use their knowledge for the betterment of nation and society.

He started the ‘Jiv-Amritam’ project of Mother Amritanandamayi Math, which cost Rs. 100 crores in Kerala.

Its aim is to provide clean drinking water to millions of villagers of the country.

 

7.It is necessary to get the consent of all political parties to make Lok Sabha and Assembly elections together – Election Commission :-

The Election Commission has taken the stand for the Lok Sabha and assembly elections together and said that it is necessary to get the consent of all the political parties before doing this.

Election Commissioner OP Rawat said in a conversation that after making necessary amendments to the Constitution and the People’s Representation Act, it would be possible to make an election together.

 

8.Retired Admiral Devendra Kumar Joshi became Deputy Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands:-

Retired Admiral Devendra Kumar Joshi was sworn in as the new deputy governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

He is the 13th deputy governor of the islands. At a grand ceremony held in the Rajya Sabha, Justice Rakesh Tiwari, Acting Judge of the Calcutta High Court administered the oath of office and secrecy to the deputy governor.

After the oath ceremony, the Governor of Admiral Devendra Kumar Joshi was presented with guard of honor and he inspected the parade and also met dignitaries.

Subsequently, the Lt Governor paid tribute to the martyrs in the National Memorial Sealyur Jail.

 

9.Coffee export of India increased by 9.36 percent in 2016-17 :-

India’s coffee exports increased by 9.36 percent to 3,76,873 tonnes.

The figures are from the marketing year 2016-17 ending September 2017 .

Before the marketing year 2015-16 , coffee export from the country was 3,44,613 tonnes.

A senior official of the Coffee Board said , in the marketing year 2016-17 , coffee exports have increased for two major reasons.

The first reason for this is to be adequate of domestic supply to meet the export demand and record domestic production in 2015-16 . Besides, the price in the global market is also better.

 

10.Minister of Petroleum Minister Kharmendra Pradhan inaugurated the Indian office of Saudi Arabia, Saudi Arabia’s company :-

Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated the Indian office of Saudi Arabia company of Saudi Arabia in Gurugram, Haryana.

Aramco chairman Amin-H-al-Naseer was also present on the occasion.

Shri Pradhan said that India, Saudi Arabia and liquid have a large market for petroleum gas.
