सियाचिन के बहादुर सैनिक लांस नायक हनुमनथप्पा को मरणोपरांत सेना पद से सम्मानित किया गया :-
(i)अपने मोर्चे पर तैनाती के दौरान एक हिमस्खलन के बाद बर्फ के नीचे छह दिनों तक दबे रहने के बावजूद
उन्हें मलबे से जीवित बाहर निकाला गया था।
(ii)वह शून्य से 45 डिग्री नीचे तापमान में सियाचिन ग्लेशियर में छह दिनों तक मलबे के नीचे जीवित रहे थे।
(iii)सियाचिन दुनिया की सबसे उंचाई पर स्थित लड़ाई का मैदान है।
सिम्बु–कितुर ने मुंबई मैराथन जीती :-
(i)तंजानिया के एलफोंसे सिम्बु ने आज यहां स्टैंडर्ड चार्टर्ड मुंबई मैराथन में पुरूष स्पर्धा में जीत दर्ज की
जबकि कीनिया की बोर्नेस कितुर ने महिला खिताब अपने नाम किया।
(ii)बीजिंग में 2015 विश्व चैम्पियनशिप में भाग लेने वाली सिम्बु ने दो घंटे, नौ मिनट और 32 सेकेंड का
समय निकालकर स्वर्ण पदक हासिल किया।

NASA approves mission to explore iron-rich asteroid 16 Psyche :-
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has approved a mission to explore 16 Psyche, an iron-rich asteroid. As part of the mission, NASA craft will be launched in 2023, and will arrive at Psyche in 2030. The mineral contents on the asteroids are worth over 100-thousand times the value of the entire world economy.
