1.The President initiated Jiv-Amritam’s project of Mata Amritanandamayi Math to provide clean drinking water to 5 thousand villages across the country :-

President Ram Nath Kovind launched the “Jiv-Amritam” project of Mother Amritanandamayi Math, which cost Rs. 100 crores in Kerala.

The President arrived at Amrutpuri in Kollam, Kerala on Sunday morning. President Ramnath Kovind, who was on his first official tour of the state, started the project in the presence of Governor P Sathasivam, Mata Amritanandamayi, State Tourism Minister Kadakapally Surendran and others.

The aim of this project is to provide clean drinking water to 10 million villagers across the country.

On this occasion, the President appreciated the other steps taken by the monastery and said that these activities help in building a healthy and happy nation.

Three of the 12 villages of the eight states adopted by the President Mutt also distributed certificates of open defecation in the open under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

 

2.Government committee to give suggestions on the Haj Policy recommended to end the subsidy of Haj pilgrims in a phased manner :-

The committee formed to give suggestions for the government’s new Haj Policy has recommended ending the subsidy given to Haj pilgrims in a phased manner.

The committee submitted the report of the new Haj Policy for 2018-22 to minority affairs minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi in Mumbai on Saturday.

The committee has recommended the permission of four women Haj pilgrims aged more than 45 years to go to Haj without any men.

On the directions of the Supreme Court, the Ministry had constituted a committee to review the current Haj Policy and review the new Haj Policy of 2018-22 for the review of the previous Secretary Afzal Amanullah.

 

3.Minister of Health and Family Welfare Ashwani Kumar Choubey said that eight lakh doctors will be restored :-

Minister of Health and Family Welfare Ashwani Kumar Choubey has said that there is a shortage of more than six lakh doctors in the country and by 2022 this shortage will be removed.

He said that 14 to 16 lakh doctors are required in the country but at present there are eight lakh doctors. Doctor Chaubey said this after inspecting Pataliputra Medical College and Hospital in Dhanbad on Saturday.

Chief Justice Manjula Chellur and Justice N. M. Jamdar’s bench has asked the Center to provide information about the steps taken to stop the online advertising of drug sale without consulting the doctor.

 

5.Admiral (Retd) D.K. Joshi will take oath as the deputy governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands :-

Admiral (Retd) D.K. Joshi will take oath as the Deputy Governor of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

The swearing-in ceremony will be held this afternoon. The ceremony will be held at 3:30 in the evening at Raj Bhavan. The chief justice of Calcutta High Court, Justice Rakesh Tiwari, Admiral Devender Kumar Joshi will be administered oath of office and secrecy.

After the swearing-in ceremony, the Lt Governor will pay homage to the martyrs in National Monument, Salolar Jail.

This evening, he is scheduled to meet the Chief Secretary of the islands, the Director General of Police, Principal Chief Forest and the Secretary of the Lieutenant Governor in RajyaVisa.

 

6.Union Minister Ananth Kumar said – 8 crore people get self-employment from the money scheme :-

Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers Anant Kumar has appreciated the efforts of banks to give Karnataka the number one position in distributing loans to the maximum number of people in the country.

Inaugurating the currency promotion campaign in Bengal, Mr. Kumar said that this scheme is a new way of financial inclusion of the sections of the poor and marginalized sections of the society.

Shri Ananth Kumar said that only monetary scheme has created more than eight crore self-employment.

24 thousand 894 crore rupees have been distributed to 27 lakh 29 thousand people for starting small industries in Karnataka.

Union Minister of State for Finance Shiv Pratap Shukla has said that the GST Council will continue to move rates in the direction of taxation logic.

At a function in New Delhi, he said that all the difficulties and shortcomings in implementing GST will be removed within a year.

 

8.Gold futures up in festive season and silver too fast :-

The demand for gold in the festive season increased sharply on Saturday. The yellow metal rose by Rs 100 to Rs 30 thousand 550 per 10 gram.

Prices got support in the international markets too quickly Silver also recovered by Rs 500 to Rs 40,600 per kg on increased demand from industrial units and coin makers.

Gold in the international market in New York closed at $ 1,276.10 an ounce. Silver was also quoted at $ 16.81 per ounce (28. 35 grams per ounce).

In Delhi, gold ornaments rose by Rs 100 to Rs 30,400 per 10 grams. Eight-gramy Ginni remained at the former level of Rs 24 thousand 700.

The weekly delivery of silver 460 rupees was given in the price of 39 thousand 600 rupees per kg.

In the FIFA U-17 Football World Cup tournament, Iran defeated Guinea yesterday, Germany defeated Costa Rica, Brazil defeated Spain, and Niger defeated North Korea.

In the FIFA U-17 Football World Cup tournament, on Saturday evening, in the group-c match of Goa, Iran defeated Guinea 3-1 and Germany defeated Costa Rica 2-1.

In the 59th minute of the match, Allahar Sayyed from Iran and Mohammad Sharif scored in the 70th minute.

Founded player Syed Karami scored a goal to give Iran a 3-0 lead. The final moments of the match from Guinea resulted in the goal of the financier.

 

11.India won by nine wickets in Australia’s first Twenty-Twenty cricket match :-
