1.All Mobile SIM SIMs not connected to the base will be closed after February -2018 :-

The government is working to connect the Aadhaar with the mobile SIM card and the phones not added by the base will be closed by next year. Official sources said that the task of adding the base and mobile is being done this year in the Public Policy Foundation case, according to the order of the Supreme Court.

Within one year from the date of this order, all SIM cards have to be verified with the basis so that the perpetrators, traffickers and terrorists can not use SIM. The Central Government had told the Supreme Court in February this year that it would make effective arrangements to verify pre-paid mobile users within one year.

 

2.Union Home Minister visits J&K Police Lines and CRPF Camp in Anantnag :-

Bullet proof vests and vehicles to be provided at all police stations: Shri Rajnath Singh –

Union Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh visited the Jammu and Kashmir Police Lines and CRPF camp in Anantnag district today. He was accompanied by the State’s Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Kumar Singh and Union Home Secretary Shri Rajiv Gauba.

He said a trauma centre has been sanctioned and bullet proof vehicles will be provided at all police stations in the State. The Union Home Minister said the Centre has also released adequate funds for procurement of bullet proof vehicles vests and latest equipments for Police Stations.

The Union Home Minister said, “It is my aim to provide at least Rs. 1 crore to the families of our martyrs from the CAPFs.” He said the Government launched the “Bharat ke Veer” portal to support the families of our martyrs and the nation as a whole has given tremendous support to their cause.

Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Tilak Marapana met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of India-Sri Lanka relations. He said that there was a broad and strong connection between the two countries.

Shri Modi said that he wants to further enhance the mutual cooperation between the two countries by discussing with Sri Lankan President and Prime Minister.

 

4.Hon’ble Raksha Mantri Flags off Navika Sagar Parikrama :-

Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, Hon’ble Raksha Mantri flagged-off Indian Naval Sailing Vessel Tarini (INSV Tarini) with an all women crew from INS Mandovi boat pool, Goa at 01:00 PM today (10 Sep17). This is the first-ever Indian circumnavigation of the globe by an all-women crew and shall attempt to circumnavigate the globe on Indian Navy’s sailing vessel INSV Tarini.

The crew is expected to return to Goa in April 2018, on completion of the voyage. The expedition will be covered in five legs, with stop-overs at 4 ports viz. Fremantle (Australia), Lyttleton (New Zealand), Port Stanley (Falklands), and Cape Town (South Africa).

 

5.PM Modi will address ‘Young India, New India’ on 125 years of Vivekananda’s Chicago speech :-

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a conference of students on Monday to commemorate 125 years of Swami Vivekananda’s speech in the World Parliament of Religions in Chicago and the celebration of the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Centenary.

The Prime Minister tweeted Sunday, “Yesterday I am eager to address the students on young India-New India theme. Vivekananda had strong conviction in youth power and considered the role of youth in nation building as very important. Inspired by Swami Vivekananda’s ideas, we are working tirelessly to realize the dreams and aspirations of the youth.

 

6.Union Home Minister chairs high-level meeting in Srinagar to review security in J&K :-

Union Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh chaired a high-level Security Review Meeting in Srinagar today on the law and order and security situation in the State. Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Shri NN Vohra, Chief Minister Ms. Mehbooba Mufti, Union Home Secretary Shri Rajiv Gauba and Senior Officers of the Army, CAPFs, Security Forces besides State Administration were present.

Earlier, delegations of various national and regional parties called on the Union Home Minister. Yesterday, Shri Rajnath Singh had held discussions with as many as 33 civil society delegations comprising more than 200 members representing traders, tour operators, farmers, youth associations and other groups.

 

7.India-Afghanistan strategic partnership council meeting today :-

Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani reached New Delhi on Sunday on a three-day visit to India. On Monday, they will attend the India-Afghan strategic partnership council meeting. During this, his Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj will be discussing in detail on bilateral, regional and international issues. Salahuddin will also meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his stay in New Delhi.

Official sources said that the increase in cooperation between the two countries during the Council meeting and is expected to discuss India’s involvement in Afghanistan and enhancing measures. It is also possible to have a deeper view of the current security situation in Afghanistan.

 

8.PM to address the students’ convention, on the occasion of 125th anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago address and Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya’s centenary celebrations :-

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi will address the students’ convention on the theme of ‘Young India, New India’, on occasion of 125th anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago address and Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya’s centenary celebrations, on September 11, 2017.

In a series of tweets from his account, the Prime Minister said:

“Tomorrow I look forward to addressing a gathering of students on the theme of ‘Young India, New India.’

The convention of students is being held on 11th September, the day Swami Vivekananda delivered his historic address at Chicago in 1893.

This year, we are marking 125th anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago address and Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya centenary celebrations.

Swami Vivekananda strongly believed in the power of Yuva Shakti. He saw a vital place for youngsters in the realm of nation building.

Inspired by the ideals of Swami Vivekananda, we are working tirelessly towards realising the dreams and aspirations of our youth.”

 

9.Gas pumps will be closed on the disturbances, customers will get full fuel from new chip :-

Union Minister for Consumer Affairs Ram Vilas Paswan said that no disturbances will be made with the customers at petrol pumps and gas stations. Oil companies are soon going to put such a chip on each of their petrol pumps and gas stations, which will give customers full supply of petrol, diesel and gas. Oil companies have said that they will start work on it from next week.

Union minister Paswan gave this information in the interaction with reporters in the ministry on Saturday. They said that this chip used by oil companies will be according to high security standards. This means that it will not be possible to tamper it.

Oil companies have taken this step after the intervention of the Ministry, when the Ministry brought the attention of oil companies towards the reduction in petrol pumps and gas stations in many parts of the country.

 

10.Dr Jitendra Singh lauds distinguished contribution of Ahmedabad Space Application Centre  :-

The Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh has lauded the valuable contribution made by Space Application Center (SAC) Ahmedabad in providing original inputs for enriching the India’s Space Programme and also performing the role of value addition to several of the prestigious Space missions launched from ISRO, Sriharikota.

Currently on a two-day visit to Gujarat, Dr Jitendra Singh held a detailed review meeting with the scientists of Space Application Centre led by its Director, Dr Tapan Misra.
