1.Ministry of Human Resource Development has notified 75 National Resource Centers (NRC) for online refresher programs for higher education faculty through itself :-

The Ministry of Human Resource Development has started a major and unique program of online professional development of 1.5 million high / education faculty using the MOOC platform ‘ Self ‘ . In the first phase, 75 study-subjects special national resource centers have been identified. These centers have been asked to prepare online training material with focus on modalities for implementing latest development , emerging trends , academic improvement and revised curriculum in the subject-specific .

3.Powergrid targets capital expenditure of Rs 25,000 crore for the year 2018-19 :-

7.NASA’s nuclear reactor will provide energy to Mars’s human mission :-

8.Government will give subsidy to sugarcane farmers :-

After this decision, the Agriculture Ministry will directly subsidize the 5.5 paise per quintal in the farmers’ accounts. This will also provide relief to sugar mills. The sugarcane growers have reached close to Rs 19,000 crore on outstanding sugar mills. This is by far the highest. Sugarcane farmers were facing huge financial problems due to non-payment of timely payment from the millers.

GSTN: GSTN: At the GST Council 27th meeting, there has been a consensus on GSTN to become a fully government company. The Council said in this meeting that GSTN will be made a government-owned company. Describing this decision in detail, Union Finance Minister and GST Council President Arun Jaitley said that the private companies who have a 51 per cent stake in GSTN will withdraw the government. After this, the Center and the State Government will have an equal share of 50-50% in GSTN. State governments will have a stake on pro-rate basis, which will be in their GST ratio.

 

12.Sebi’s seal will increase from 9 am to 11:55 pm on the futures trading season :-

Related imageCapital market regulator SEBI today has given permission to increase trading time limit in the stock market futures trading (equity derivatives) segment. Now the new time limit will be from 9 am to 11 pm and 55 minutes. The new rule will come into effect from October 1. This move is part of SEBI’s efforts to enable the integration of stocks and commodities trading on the same exchange.

The circular issued by SEBI said, “It has been decided to allow stock exchanges to set their trading hours in the equity derivatives segment, this deadline ranges from 9 am to 11 pm for 55 minutes It will be on the lines of trading hours of commodity derivatives, in which the trading deadline is fixed from 10 am to 11 pm for 55 minutes. This permission is subject to stock exchanges and clearing corporations, which are in the infrastructure related to the risk management system and the infrastructure.
